Hawaii is no joke. Remember last time I was in Maui, I was parking at Big Beach when we were told to go home. A woman who was snorkelling there earlier had been killed and mostly eaten by a shark. Also nearly died during a difficult hike in Honolulu.

We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I’m not an intelligent man when it comes to what sea creature hangs out at what beech. I stay out of their living room. My new wife had no problems watching me swim for hours, then told me later it was shark season, and Hawaii is the most active in the world. Good times.

Every time I read the news, especially during summer seasons around the globe, I read about many new shark attacks..today included. I feel horrible for this man's widow and family, that's the reason I am writing this. The justifications by the animal conservationists, etc, just don't cut it anymore. "We are in the sharks' home, the shark made a mistake, changes in water temperature, migration of feeding grounds, scarcity of food, splashing at the surface, more people in the water, 99 out of 100 times they won't bother you if you don't bother them, it's one chance in a million, etc, etc. And the media just buys this, no questioning of the possible incorrectly formulated data, no blowback. Why can't they just admit, that sharka are a much greater danger than they are making them out to be. Well, WE rule this planet, not sharks. And sharks are a threat to us. Take it from there. Again, my sincere condolences to this young man's wife and family.

Sharks live in the ocean 🦈. Sharks don’t intentionally look to hurt humans. The ocean is the shark’s territory. The ocean is where sharks live and eat. It’s tragic what happened to that guy.

😮 horrific way to die my god,ocean is scary to me was in maui walking along the beach saw the biggest turtle swimming not far from me and snakes ,the white sand makes you sink up to knees when tide pulls in and out very strong and scary,too many hungry creatures live in are oceans,dont ever turn your back in ocean its unpredictable RIP to him prayers to family

Sad, but I'll never understand ppl making horrible decisions, then blaming nature. Hiking, surfing, boating while drinking, etc. Like, is there any common sense? The risks are posted everywhere!

@@chumblesthecheese8580 surfing in the ocean and on a regular basis is definitely not a smart decision and quite reckless. You put yourself in danger knowing there can be predators lurking around and have no control in the water unlike on land.
