Reading the comments tells me wayyyyy more people than I could have expected had the same or very similar experience as I did. I also played these games with my dad, who is now deceased. Medal of Honor Frontline, Rising Sun, and European Assault, as well as Call of Duty: Big Red One. SOCOM: US Navy Seals, among some others I'm probably forgetting. He passed right before my 13th birthday leaving me with a lot of what ifs. I'm watching these long plays now and man it brings me back, whether that is a good thing or not. Thanks for uploading and taking the time to play these clunky old games lol.
I used to play this masterpiece with a friend of mine on split screen when we were 11 years old. Now we are about to go to university, and haven't spoken for a while. I remember, we were so unexperienced in videogames that we couldn't start a multiplayer match, but this game allowed us to play together in the campaing - such an amazing feature which I haven't seen in any game similar to this one... This video bring back so much memories, thanks for the upload😃
God This brings back memories, Remember it took me forever to get through midnight raid on Guadalcanal To begin with, They don't make them like this and frontline anymore
So much memories of the Medal Of Honor series and this is one of my favorite games, you should know ladies and gentlemen, The OSS ((Offices Of Strategic Services)) does exist, it formed in June 13th, 1942 and dissolved in September 20th, 1945. The director of the OSS is Major General William "Wild Bill" Donavan, a medal of honor recipient, a veteran of the great war and a trusted friend of the former US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. By September 18th, 1947 ((2 years later)) OSS became the CIA ((Central Intelligence Agency)) a lot of Characters of this game series and other games joins the OSS: 1- Jimmy Patterson ((Medal Of Honor, Medal Of Honor: Underground, Medal Of Honor: Frontline and Medal of Honor: Heroes)) 2- Joseph Griffin ((Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun and Medal of Honor: Heroes)) 3- William Holt ((Medal Of Honor: European Assault, Medal Of Honor: Heroes)) 4- Mike Powell ((Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault)) 5- John Berg ((Medal Of Honor: Heroes 2)) 6- John Baker ((Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough and Medal of Honor: Heroes)) 7- Jake Murphy ((Medal Of Honor: Infiltrator)) 8- Manon Batiste ((Medal Of Honor, Medal Of Honor: Underground, Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault, Medal Of Honor: European Assault, Medal Of Honor: Frontline, Medal Of Honor: Heroes and Medal of Honor: Above And Beyond)) 9- Karl Fairbune ((Sniper Elite series))

THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST "REALISTIC" SHOOTERS. THIS GOT ME INTO WW2 AND HISTORY. SUCH A GOOD STARTING MISSION. I MUSTVE BEEN PLAYING THIS IN 2009-2010
@@slim_reaper93 I am well aware. I was it had just popped up and the memory hit like a train. The first shooter/real game I ever played tbh other then small games I don't remember. I remember going to my buddies and playing it
The only FPS WWII shooter to feature a mission in the Philippines. The Philippines saw some of the bloodiest battles during the war especially the battle of Manila (worse than Stalingrad) yet developers over the years continue to ignore its significance.
I think veterans of Iwo Jima, Paschendaele or the Somme would have something to say. But Stalingrad was a terrible battle, the Eastern Front in general was a terrible place. @@azerty74140
Gentlemen while it is fascinating to debate this I’d argue it’s a moot point considering the fact that both battles were traumatic to a large degree and comparing them to one another is doing a disservice to them. They were both brutal battles in their own right.
Thank you for posting this i rember back when i was in elementary school my dad went to blockbuster and came back with this game and it was the best thing ever. Thank you for bringing back my childhood
Dude i had such great memories always visiting my up north family. would play this game at every function when we visited my cousins house. the good old times
Man, as soon as I heard those explosions and guns, my PTSD- PlayTillSleepDeprivation kicked back in. Every time I got home, I hopped on my PlayStation 2 and didn’t get off until late.
I remember me and a group of my friends got to talking about this game and my buddy asked me what my favorite mission was and I told him it was the one with the bridge and you got to ride the elephant and I remember him looking at me like I was crazy. He didn’t believe there was an elephant in the game so I had to come just to confirm it🤣🤣🤣 I briefly remembered it myself.
Oh, nostalgia. My dad would talk history with me while I played this and MOH: Front Line. Hed point out things like the baseball field in the Philippines, and the crocs in Guadalcanal. My favorite was the pilot that had a confirmed kill on a giant croc. The Fat Electrician did a video on it, i heard the same story playing this game when I was 11.
I remember being a kid and him saying “keep your eyes peeled” and like pretend peeling my eyes. I never even finished this game, this was my dads game on my dads ps2.
"Good morning honululu" was probably one of the first english things I ever memorized. I was a kid, and i remember my cousins got the ps2 and this game came with it. Some months later my dad got a hold of a second hand ps2 and my cousins gave the game because they didn't like war titles. My win, for sure. This game introduced me to WW2
i was like 8 when i first played this, my grandfather rented it from blockbuster for me because he knew i loved all the war games and movies. I remember being scared shitless playing this game tho, it was so intense for its time haha
Used to play this with my dad all the time back in the day, seeing this again brings back so many memories but I find it funny that you carry 20 grenades nowadays haha
Loved this game back in the day. Remember trying to find out what the green/extra missions were in order to unlock the little cartoonish clips/storyboards. Great memories
I played this game when it first came out and remember I got emotional from the opening scene/act. My wife looked at me and said “Is that a tear, are you crying?” Lol
This game was so good and when i was a kid, my grandma bought it for me and i played split screen a lot with my brother even the multiplayer but against bots. The multiplayer of this game was the one that got me into competitive fps games
i remember playing this game over and over but i could never get past the second mission where i had to press the "action" button to pick up the tank axle. I had no idea what the "action" button was, it wasnt written down anywhere on the controller lmao. I later learned it was the "select" button that was the action button. I played the first 2 missions over and over and over. What a great game XD
Early MOH games were so good. I remember getting so lost on the Guadalcancal mission. And my disk was scratched and could never play the Pistol Pete one :(
I remember this so well, why because I got it for Christmas, along with it was the strategy guide with it. I seen so many bonus objectives you passed by. Hahaha

What an absolute classic. Used to play this with 4 players on gamecube. People gave that console a lot of flak but it was the only one that really supported 4 player games at the time (Dreamcast doesn't count).
I was 17-18 back then and we used to play this game every Sunday, even though we had hung out the day before, since it was a tradition to play the game on a lovely hangover day.
Man that opening mission was legendary. Played it so many times over as a kid.
Same
Flashes backs to this… I was maybe 8 or 9 years old play this with my dad. Every single time one of us died the next person played. 😢
bro samee!

No one cares about your story or that of the pile of bones what to call father lol
I was 8 and this really got me into WW2 and history in general. Love it.
SAME ASF!
Man this. Allied Assault and COD and old expansions like United Offensive. Great times to be a young kid playing games back in those days
Same lol
i will repeat this memories in paradise with my childhood freinds 😢
I’m 27. I remember this first mission like it was yesterday. Even though I played this 20 years ago… wow
the music brought me right back, crazy how it can do that.
me too thats crazy
I wish they would remake the original medal of honors with todays graphics and capabilities
Same but 29, I lost the guy running off and I took forever to figure out how to get to the top outside
heartbreaking... where did the time go..

Bring back memories playing this game
Frontline too. With the dday invasion.
Reminds me of Christmas day 2003 playing this all day me and my younger brother while mother made Christmas dinner. What a great day
Medal of Honor encompassed my childhood. Playing it for hours, so many good memories.
This was probably the more emotional of their games, but sad to see we never got the sequel to this game
Dawg fr this was a top Tier ps2 game 🙏🏾
Medal of Honor needs to make a comeback
The multiplayer was amazing
it did get a sequel, but it was pc only
Wasnt Medal of honor: European Assault, the sequel?
oh the memories , what an absolut masterpiece

Oh I was always confused by that mission! Kept going in the wrong direction. But it was genuinely a great game for me.
Very much Highs Dangerous Ambush Japanese Troopers Reinforced

This needs a REMASTERED for modern console.
Definitely!
with dedicated PC port too!
I would give anything for that. This game was amazing.
Agree
Yes does need to be remastered. I would like to have all Medal of Honor games in a gift box set
I can’t believe what a throwback this was. I played Singapore sling more times than I can count
I was stationed Hawaii when this game came out. Loved the Medal of Honor games

I wouldn't say Manila was worse than Stalingrad when Stalingrad killed 1.9 million people
there's nothing worse than stalingrad, all philippines battles together is like 1 day in stalingrad^^

Such a classic! Thanks for posting this. Now it’s time to fire up the PS2.
Brings back a lot of memories. Got this for Christmas I was 13 at the time and Christmas Day must have played it around 10 times non stop!

wow so many memories come flooding back. I just realized some of the tunes I get stuck in my head sometimes are from this game! What the hell?!
The audacity of some of these npcs to get up after being shot 3 times by a Garand is insulting.

I think about it all the time. it’s not a real song is it?
The sound design was absolutely phenomenal, pair with Micheal Giacchino. Cheifs kiss. Nostalga hits hard with this game.
I spent far too much time putting out fires with the extinguisher than actually playing the mission.
