I have a 2000 F250 4x4 with leaf springs on all 4 corners and solid axles. You have to get out of it and lock in the hubs before manually shifting the floor mounted lever into 4 wheel drive. Five speed manual. It’s got recirculating ball steering. XL interior with roll up windows. Sometimes you literally bounce down the road. Steering is more of a suggestion. 128,000 miles, doesn’t leak a drop of fluid. I wouldn’t sell it for anything. Congrats on the new ride Ken, it is pretty impressive!

Just turned 64. I’m going through the K.I.S.S. Stage. Keep it simple stupid. I get why people buy the new trucks, I just have no need for one. It is truly remarkable how trucks have changed in 24 years!

-You got a truck that you absolutely love and makes your life much easier. 5G internet for all your videos. Cameras for the hitch and watching your trailer/load. All the step-ups. 120V AC in truck and bed. Better stereo, interior. -This truck is a huge upgrade all around +the new warranty.
-With your trade in, -it really is a no-brainer.

-Kellerman type air ride -maybe just rear air.
-air ride 5th wheel. -Isolates the trailer from truck better. (There are issues with both of these products, and reliability maybe lessened).
(Those cameras work in complete darkness also). -Pretty amazing when you use them. (Great Job Ford)
I've been giving serious thought to the kelderman air ride possibly some 22-inch alcoas and I have an air ride hitch on the primary unit that I used to haul the 45 footer this is just going to be a backup going to be the backup hauler for the big fifth wheel the primary hauler is a Volvo semi

Add a bunch of work done on it mechanically next we're going to do the cosmetics new rocker panels and whatnot I took it off the road for the winter

I’ve seen it normally last a couple hundred thousand miles before def issues then just get it deleted. Sometimes it happens early on but it’s atleast under warranty then.

I always thought the Cummins was better, but there are issues with the new Aisin transmission.
As I said in the video I bought one brand new there were so many problems with the Asian transmission they eventually threw their hands up and said they couldn't fix it and they ordered me a new truck I never really trusted that truck so I ended up selling it and getting a 2016 F350 which I still have with 171,000 Mi it's never left me stranded I also own a GMC diesel dually and a older Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins diesel that I really enjoy driving book for the new trucks this was the safe bet for me
they all have problems. from what I've seen Fords probably the worst but they are also the most hit or miss since QC and engineering is just poor

😅 have 2 2002 f350s 7.3. My truck is 4 door srw w 186,000 on it and it has been reliable & taken care of. My farther in laws truck88,000 I use to plow the farm is a xtra cab dually both are lariat package. I will keep these . Put an exhaust & mild chip it’s all I need to work & tow horses. 🇺🇸

You are absolutely CORRECT! These fords have problems starting after an hour ride especially when towing, trans hard shifting. Garbage.
I have a 2020 explorer. It has 5 recalls. I stopped going to dealer after second one. They don't pay me to drop truck off and pick it up or take off work for repairs. Makes me sick how poorly ford's are made.
My dads 2021 f350 has been fine, 50,000 miles and the only thing he’s had to replace is the spark plug wires

5th wheel hauls more than rear hitch no?
I'm pretty sure this one holds 40,000 lb from the hitch
The amount of weight you can put on a rear hitch is 500lbs typical to 1000-2000lbs (max, with special hitches). Pintle type hitches (construction/military) are more. 5th wheel hitches are generally better and safer since you have more weight over your rear wheels. Air ride 5th wheels and air rear suspension (helps level under weight) helps.
Ford has the weight load sensors. -tells the amount of weight over rear axle.

@@KaplanCycles well I just learned today after waiting 8 months for my 450kr somone at dealer changed my priority code recently to 99 which means do not build 8 months later and after I took delivery last week of 2024 350 KR so of course wasn’t happy they now changed it back so I guess now back to the Bering of the line for me

I guess you didn't watch the video ..... I drove the other one for 4 years and I sold it for $10,000 less than I paid for it what's 2500 a year and I didn't spend a penny on maintenance not one penny it was all done under warranty not even oil changes

It cost his company less then $2500 a year and got 74k on trade and only paid 85k for the white truck new hardly bad decision. And when you have a very successful company this is very common practice. My family owns a real estate firm out of Massachusetts and the amount the government takes from you as old saying more you make the more you they take could not be more true in this day in age so you treat your self and also write it all off 😀. Congr Ken and the team you guys are doing great!!

I think the Ram is way better looking. But, the Ford is the better truck. I wouldn’t buy the Ram because of the whole NOT MADE IN USA!
4 years old with 21,000 miles and a hose blew? That says a lot about ford's.

It had 1200 miles on it when the hose started leaking it was a factory defect it was rubbing on something by the block it didn't phase me didn't cost me a penny
I won't buy a truck not made in USA so it will be probably be a Ford.

@@jasoneardley2202 because that stuff plugs everything up and runs it hot. You don’t need to blow black soot, that’s a condition of too rich fuel mixture. The gasses the emissions systems capture aren’t visible. These systems make the vehicle eat where it shits just like those stupid masks people thought would save the world.
