Yamucha should have been in the tournament , and how hilarious would it be if he was the last man standing and declared the victor instead of 17. It would be such a great callback and pay off to the running gag of him wanting to be on the team, as well as all the tournaments arch of the past. How funny would it be if a Yamucha, person who never got pass the semifinals of the earth tournament, all of a sudden wins the inter-universal tournament of power. That would have been the best capper of all time.
@@auscal5106 YES! And it would've gone extremely well with Toriyama's signature of subverting expectations and tropes, as well as a slightly comedic which is also pure Toriyama. While I'm glad Goku didn't win the tournament overall, 17 winning was not especially shocking or inspiring.
Imagine Yamcha is like "Guess I'm the strongest person on Earth right now!" and then the Earth is attacked by a giant army of rouge seibermen. And now Yamcha has to team up with Chiantzu, Mr. Satan and Bulma to stop them
It would be interesting to see Beerus start training with Whis to get back into shape instead of being lazy all the time. I feel like he's probably nowhere near his full potential because all we see him do is sleep and eat and bum around. That would give Toei the perfect excuse to finally let Goku and Vegeta become more powerful, only to have them still lose to Beerus in a match and have it make sense. Maybe Beerus himself could finally master his own take on Ultra Instinct.
josh ch if you go by what Beerus said at the end of BOG movie (him using 70% of his power) and the fact that we see when he fights Jiren that SSB is far stronger than SSG and add the x10 Kaioken, Goku should be able to easily take on Beerus
Yeah it should at least affect some other fighters (since his opponent was blind), even if by accident, what else is there a battle royale for?! Or is Solar Flare only effective on selected opponents? I don't know for sure.
I'll do you one better: Krillin uses Destructo Disk in a new, interesting way that could work as an deus ex-machina. Goku uses it. And it doesn't work.
Krillin and Tien got shafted even harder in the manga. I was not happy. Someone needs to make a video game based on the Tourney that lets you swap things around, and let things play out differently

I know how you feel. Yamcha is my second favorite DB character, and to have him be completely shafted from being one of the main characters to just being a joke cause _"Oh-ho, he's sho weak, it's soooo funny!"_ is completely stupid. Yamcha deserves more than that. He deserves to have _something_ in the main series.

You would think that Yamcha could've been asked to join, since he was talking to Gohan. Also there were small Yamcha bits while Goku was gathering team members and when everyone assembled, the writers chose to having him behind the Capsule Corp. building instead of approaching the team.
-I feel like the GP not being Evil at all was the joke, because of "Subverting expectations" & everyone expected GP to be the ultimate bad guy -the Yamcha deal, I would have loved if Yamcha essentially became a God of Luck, he has no way of fighting anymore but still wants to hang out, and somehow that makes him comically lucky in all fights (he still doesn't get the Win mind you) -Tien's portrayal is basically him failing at everything that is his existence, it was insulting to the point he might as well just have decided "im sorry for not even being an Option, but I will stay here & continue training my students" -ok, my problem with Gohan is not that he should get even more forms, (which he shouldn't, that's the point of the Ultimate Gohan deal), no, no, the problem is that Toriyama & TOEI keep wanting to have their cake & eat it with the whole "Oh no Gohan retired from fighting completely, but nope he's back to his fullest & ready to fight alongside SSJUltraInstincxt Omega Rainbow Goku, but he's totally a Familly Dad & a member of society who doesn't fight". It would be kind of random though, why Launch of all people? That girl is pretty crazy. I do agree she should be featured again, in some way or another. DBSuper actually was pretty decent at doing stuff like that-calling attention to things that hadn’t been seen since DB and very early DBZ.
Prince Yami Uchiha Cosplay no trunks is actually the same age as when gohan died in the future timeline believe it or not, theres only 3 or 4 years left until the end of the timeskip as pan was 4 and bulla is a year younger and bulla was just born
And Goku was also that same tiny size at that age. Toriyama explained in the Jaco manga that Saiyans age slowly, and remain in kid bodies far longer then normal humans before getting a quick growth spurt that shoots them up to adult size.
I wish they had done more with Goku's darker actions at the start of the Universal Survival arc. They were shaping him up to be something like a villain, and the fact that he was very unapologetic with everything he did to set the wheels in motion is forgotten way too easily. Seriously, in one shot, he even mirrors his brother Raditz! I wish they had done something about it. Like, his Saiyan instincts were becoming more prominent and thus making him more violent and callous as a result. Anyone agree?
Goku REALLY loves to fight. The problem here is that as Goku becomes more and more powerful, the less and less of a challenge everyone else in his universe is to him. Not to mention he doesn't stick to fighting someone as powerful or more in arms reach(Vegeta, Gohan, Beerus, Whis, training don't count) and keeps moving on from worthy opponent to worthy opponent(in Super for example he went from Hit to Mustached Pride Trooper ,whose name I forgot, to Jiren and now this mystery Saiyan). There was still room for improvement for Goku to get stronger and to defeat these guys because I'm sure they improved too. Goku got so excited at the concept of other Universes housing powerful fighters, fighting just one doesn't cut it anymore, he needs to fight them all. This is like an all you can eat buffet to him. It would be a reeeeaaaaal shame if he got ringed out very early. :)

Johnny Lozado Which means that Krillin wouldn't be around for the Saiyan Saga, so the Z-Fighters (including Gohan) would get slaughtered. Even if they somehow survived, the fact that Krillin wouldn't be in the Namek saga either means that Goku would never go Super Saiyan, so Frieza would win that battle and Namek would explode.
I actually though of a small arc for Yamcha where he simply breaks. Not beign able to withstand all the humiliation all the time and tries to prove... something to everyone, going as far as to challenge Vegeta to a match, not for Bulma, but for his reputation. You know... he's still Yamcha, jokes will always be there, but I want the guy to be more than JUST a joke
I'm glad someone has respect for the character. Hopefully a future DLC for Xenoverse 2 will feature him in the ToP being mysteriously brought there. Then again, when/or if Super returns, they will feature Yamcha in a real fights, considering that Super has done some retcons.
+Matheus Vasiliauskas Soares: except for Master Roshi (whom the creators have found more use of than either Krillin or Tien (especially in the manga version of the ToP). The one thing i liked about the early saga's of DBZ is at least they made the humans try to be relevant (like Krillin getting his Potential Unlocked by Guru or Tien, Yamcha, and Chaiotzu training on King Kai's Planet and fighting against the Ginyu Force). Even thought it's a non-canon video game, at least the Xenoverse series made Earthling Time Patrollers far more powerful to the point of taking on the likes of Frieza, Broly, Mira, Hit, Zamasu/Goku Black, Beerus, Whis, and even Jiren.

I wish they developed super saiyan god more. SSB is supposed to be the SSJ version of SSG but once the first arc was over, training for blue didn't involve any transformations to SSG. They never even showed whether or not Vegeta could use SSG?!
actually Goku went SSJ God a few times in the tournament, explaining that wile it was weaker then SSJ Blue, it used up less energy wile still letting him tap into some of the SSJ Blue power ...or something to that effect, I forget his exact explanason

I feel like jiren shouldn’t have had a backstory at all. Not knowing where he came from or what happened that influenced jiren’s raw power made him all the more intimidating. He’s like the joker. The joker doesn’t really have an origin story, and yet he’s one of the most iconic villains in history. And it makes Heath Ledger’s joker all the more intimidating, especially considering he tells multiple stories about the origins of his scars. Just think: Hit was considered gokus rival for quite some time, yet no one complained that he didn’t have a backstory. He was just a badass. Jirens backstory more or less put the character on a downward slope after that. He was made to seem more human, and less a super intimidating hunk of space alien booty, which is what makes a good antagonist
Problem there is The Joker actually has a personality, unlike Jiren. The Joker is such a fascinating, unpredictable and funny character you don't care about his backstory. Jiren is a boring, monotone strong man, and seeing him dominate everyone easily (until plothax) got boring.
My brothers didn't mind having Frieza, but thought that Majin Buu should've stayed and replaced Tien Shinhan (due to Tien's lackluster performance in the Universal Survival Saga).
TheNMan64 I still say that he would have been too OP for a story to work around. Because the ability to regenerate from anything. Ability to absorb and assimilate moves to his own and instantly perfect them, on top of him being able to Kirby people off of the fighting stage.
I love my head cannon for 17's family. Because it's an anime universe, he married Launch, had a kid, learned her sneezing thing was passed down, and decided adopting was the better choice.
believe it or not I like Yamcha (i feel that he doesn't deserve the memes) and Tien gained my respect after seeing him fight in the movie version of Resurrection F. It's like compared the the other characters/Z-fFghters, these two are like the underdogs at times (like they're there in case an extra fighter is needed).
The absence of the adventures of the Kids during the TOP is when I learned how little the DB team cares about world and or character building unless it strictly relies on the plot. Like, Gotenks will never be relevant unless the plot required him to get in probably Ultimate Gohan’s level in an unreasonable amount of time until they never use them again.

He was stronger than Roshi at the Saiyan Saga, and kept up with Tien during the Freiza arc... He would have at least been formidable. Tien should have done better. I understand the series was forced to conclude, but as a result of that, there was so many missed opportunities
Rimey in the beginning I assumed Jiren's power was to be more powerful than whatever he fought. So a weak fighter would still be beaten but the obvious power would be less. Like he's flat 10% more powerful than his opponent. Which against Goku, means a lot, but vs Yamcha it is almost nothing. And that would be the dark secret, Topo and the others keep low level things away from Jiran because they are more dangerous.
ooooohhhh that honestly would have been a good twist cause honestly look every person jiren fought he was only like 10% better when jiren got hit with that sneak attack by 17 I thinks its because his body sensed someone weaker than goku or vegeta coming up and the reason he cant deal with tag teams is because 1 person is always weaker than the other and his power will rise and drop to compensate but it will cost him which is why he was gtting beat by goku and vegeta his only hope was to learn their pattern but vegeta and goku don't fight together so they don't have a pattern which even if they did they would have beat jirencause whis knows just how powerful they are they are infact unbeatable together
Considering that canonically in Super, Yamcha was the first one to actually land a blow on Beerus. Not Goku in all his forms, it was Yamcha. So this could be a callback, which was never mentioned at all in the show and actually have comedic potential in the right direction for Yamcha.
Still a few things the next series can do to shake things up some. -Humans acquire god ki. This can give them a massive power boost to put them on a a level near the saiyans, give those of us that like characters like Yamcha and Tien a few moments, and it could give us an interesting look at Gohan if human physiology behaves differently with God Ki than a race who are known to transform to get stronger. It even opens up a conflict with universe 6, where they discover the reason the earth was destroyed over there was because of humans acquiring god ki and warring with each other over it causing the planet to bust. -Marron and 17's son discovering something about how their cyborg parents affected them. Maybe the nanomachines that made them into cyborgs are self-replicating and can infect and replace the cells of the children making them cyborgs from birth? Considering 17 and 18 don't age (at least at the same rate) then that could be an interesting situation. -Explain Super Saiyan Rage? Maybe allow Gohan to acquire it? Heck maybe Trunks feels redundant in his timeline and decides to move to the current one? -Shake up the god status. Have some kind of a roshambo situation going where there is another being out there that could be defeated by mortals but is so powerful against angels and gods that they could brush of Zeno attempting to erase them.
@MasakoX Actually instead of Roshi, Yamcha should have gotten the random power up, revealing he has secretly been training. After all his entire history of dragon ball z is motivation enough for him to have been doing the training. Especially since the Yamcha Fandom has exploaded from the strongest Yamcha to the dragon ball fighterz reasoning. Yamcha could have developed several new attacks and at least be somewhere around Krillian's usefulness.
In the bonus panel of the Universe Survival manga, it shows Yamcha holding a bat in his U7 baseball outfit talking to Puar - Yamcha telling his best friend that he still trains as a martial artist in case of an emergency.
Nowon & DPool Productions One scapped plot point thag would've made things very interesting was Majin Piccolo. Toriyama still had plans of having Piccolo relevant even in the Buu arc.

There quite a bit you can talk about when it comes to Z. From the Buu Arc alone, we got Super Sayian 3, Fusion Dance, Potara, Gohan. All of these were plot devices that led to nothing or just become an anti-climax. My big gripe with the Buu Arc really is that it seem it was going to let the new generation take the mantle, or play a important role at least, but that never really happen. It's a plot thread that went nowhere because they ended up relying on the dead to save the day.
Honestly the biggest problem with two Zenos in the ToP was that it didn't affect the arc in any way. Since both Zenos were just spectators the entire time their presence doesn't actually affect anything that happened, so the exact same events and outcome would've occured even if Future Zeno wasn't present. So far, two Zenos have amounted to nothing that one Zeno can't do, so a future arc really needs to revolve around that dilemma.
DBS had over 130 episodes to resolve itself. There are no excuses for its low quality, in most aspects. Broly at least turned out good despite clearly missing scenes and the BotG film was a solid way to restart DB. I´ll give Toei that.
I still cry over Yamcha to this day. I know they made him into a joke in Z, but he tried still. Super made him appeal to the full blown memes, and there's nothing wrong with that.... But DAMN did they did him dirty how they treated him in the tournament of power stuff.
I'm making a Dragonball fan manga set in an alternate version of Super and the first volume is set during the hiatus of the Granolah Saga. Its about my Oc and the next gen of Z fighters who are actually teenagers and young adults, taking the reigns as earths protectors, as well as some of the other classical characters, while Goku and Vegeta do their own thing. The villian is Bojack and the manga is based on some of the ideas Masako presented in his Bojack in Super video as well as some of my own ideas and thoughts. Just putting it out there because eventually I'm going to turn it into a motion comic.
This one’s more of a “wasted potential” category, but Nigrisshi from Universe 3 looks more similar to Anilaza in design than anyone else on his team, almost as if he were the base form. Him being casually knocked off the stage by Cabba was kinda disappointing. I think Nigrisshi could’ve been the one to transform into Anilaza by having a power to indirectly absorb energy (similar to Goku’s Spirit Bomb, but instead takes the energy by force). He could use this ability on the other fighters in the arena throughout the tournament, including Jiren. The rest of the whole Anilaza battle could’ve played out as normal up until the giant energy ball is launched that intends to destroy the arena. Rather than stand by and watch, Toppo, Dyspo and Jiren decide to help Universe 7 in defeating Nigrisshi, eliminating Universe 3 and keeping the arena intact. In my opinion, I don’t see how Dr. Paparoni could’ve given Koichiarator such an enormous boost in power to become Anilaza. At the very least, he could’ve responsible for activating the fusion of those three robots into one just before being knocked off the arena by someone.
I personally think universes 13 - 18 were a really cool story arc with some colossal potential Not to mention the sadala arc :0 Loved the video tho, keep up the good work 👍
You find out Zeno is actually just a kid playing with his toys alla super smash bros. the reason the plot changes and characterization changes so much episoe to episode is different friends/relatives are playing with the toys that day.
Gohan probably will be really cocky of his new power and let his guard down just like when he got his ultimate/mystic form to fight against super buu. I mean gohan probably not the right person to get the god form i guess. But still i would love to see gohan in god form too.
I think it would be better if it was "What if Vegeta got the Super Saiyan God power first?" instead of Gohan. At that point, he would probably go overconfident like in the Buu Saga.
He'd be extremely weak comparably even though he had his potential unleashed still, it's clear he wasn't training so he would of been weaker than Goku or Vegeta when they went all out against Beerus. Also Vegeta would probably be stronger than Goku but I feel he'd lose harder because he tries too hard and would tire out like in the ToP where he faced Jiren, Goku shows more endurance and adaptation within a fight showing even when he pushed into himself ssg without anymore strength to stop Beerus' planet burst attack.

I agree with Masako. I would have liked to see at least a bit of Trunks, Goten and Marron on the island. I was also curious about what 17's family looked like, maybe show a bit of Marron interacting with her cousin(s).
Yamcha is the strongest human, nobody can tell me otherwise. He's also the most interesting, with a lot of character depth and human character traits such as letting insecurity get in the way of his true potential. I believe that if he was in the TOP and people took him seriously, that insecurity would slowly go away and allow him to fight to his true potential. A tournament where you aren't allowed to fly would be great for Yamcha, considering he's purely martial arts based. Sorry for my vent😄
Remember back in the old dbz games like budokai2 the skill breakthrough? That would allow you to use all moves of said charter without having to select said skills before battle? Ultimate Gohans like that, it's his breakthrough form. He got lazy and his body lost its "flare" he got weaker and calmer. When he pushed his ssj2 form against piccolo he had to literally remember the feeling of the break through and do just that break through... Hope this makes sense to you masako

Yamcha was my favorite character from the start. He had ambition, he had relationship problems, he had self doubt but in the midst of everything he still charged forward even if it meant losing his life. He’s a very complex character given very little to do. I wish Toriyama would have expanded more on him. But I’m glad he didn’t because seeing a complex character arch in digital animation opposed to cel just wouldn’t do it justice.
I just wanted Goku to learn something as a character. Like maybe watching Universes be destroyed for the sake of the thing he loves most might make him actually question his whole identity as a person. But there were no actual consequences to the tournament and every things hunky dory and no ones learned a thing.
Instead of 17 coming out of the rubble. It should have been a Tien clone holding on to four rocks separating with his 4 witches technique. This was the real Tien, and Tien only pretended to be knocked out. He took advantage of this when everyone was blinded by Krillin's super Solar flare, and he hid in the audience the entire time from there. While it might be against the rules to fly naturally, it said nothing about *clones*. >_> I know, I just wanted Tien to do SOMETHING. I would have loved if the ToP had Goku get thrown out as one of the first, and they could have talked about Goku's "tournament curse" where he generally doesn't win despite having the skills, and had the other characters have to scrape by without him. Yamcha should have had to save the world while the others were gone, and they left Yamcha behind for this *very* reason. Not because he was unworthy, but because they still needed a protector while everyone else was gone. The children should have had an episode of fighting aliens together. Jiren was pumping iron while waiting for his favorite abridged series to release another episode... It took that long. Hey, if there's godtube, why not? Because crazy ideas are what this show is about.
You forgot one plot point wich is minor but interresting to say the least: Buu's Reasons to train. I know at the end of Z Buu was fat again, but muscullar Buu was smart, strong and interresting. He wanted to train to have more fun and now it's undone? I mean come on! Buu didn't get much to do in Super I know, but... him wanting to train is a sign of an interresting plot point. Mr Satan clearly taught him well since he outsmarted Goku. (not hard to do, but still we're talking about someone more SIMPLE then GOKU) Buu wanting to train could be interresting especially as time goes on. Heck he could see Goku and Vegeta fight and say... i want to fight like that too. It could mean he wants to f ight more and get stronger as well. Buu would become an actual skilled fighter and if you think about that.. that would be interresting to see. Sure we need an antagonist or something with the stakes high enough that Buu wants to join the fight. But since Super ain't over... and who knows.... maybe we can see the start of the Majin race somehow... I just want to see Buu fight more.

Also, there's something that always really bugged me about the whole Monaka conspiracy: In Episode 29, Beerus mentions Monaka's name to the gang; however, later, after we get introduced to him and it's revealed he was actually a weakling the entire time, HE IS STILL REFERRED TO AS MONAKA. Which means that either a) Beerus forced him to refer to himself by the name Monaka instead of his actual name, or b) Coincidentally, the one guy Beerus found happened to have the name Monaka. There's also the possibility that Beerus knew him beforehand and has employed his services before, but...why? When? How? This is an inconstancy that was never addressed, and I will forever wonder if Beerus actually fought a warrior named Monaka and just found a guy with the same name. Oh Super...if only you were competently written...
Definetly. Storyline for yamcha maybe him somehow 1 upping vegeta for bulma or yamcha him being the last guy in the top or even a love Interest kinda like how tien should've had one with yurin.
I have to agree with you on Yamcha,, Tien, and Krillen. I wasn't too upset with Krillen being eliminated first. What I would have liked to have seen was him standing his ground against Frost. I feel as though that would shown more growth in his character. Especially since in the Resurrection F arc he found himself in a place where he was afraid after all the powerful enemies he faced.I don't necessarily like the fact that they have made Yamcha a joke either. I thought he was a pretty cool at first but they constantly kept turning him into more of a doofus as the series went on. It's honestly getting repetitive and it would be nice to see him do more training and fighting in the future. I'm getting sick and tired of him being a loser.As much as I hate them limiting Tien as well, I felt as though as a character there is not much more that can be done with him. I would have liked to have seen him eliminate more people instead of just the one person.Oh and Vegeta should have been the one to kill Freeza!

That would be unsettling. Even with a lack of zenkai from not getting wholly whooped as often you’d be combining the enhanced power and power gain of a saiyan with the skill and technique of a very tactile fighter.
i liked yamcha. i thought he was a nice character. not to strong but was at a nice pace where he can show how strong the enemies were by beating the minions.
Why was Vegeta allowed to wear armour in the tournaments? And why does he wear it during training - wouldn't it just lessen the affect of the training?? I always preferred his Buu saga look, and it made sense since he was joining a tourney, he wouldn't be allowed armour. Don't see why in Super they used the Android saga outfit so much. I would've also liked to have seen a non-armoured version of the suit Bulma made for his God-training. Oh and why didn't Piccolo magic Gohan an outfit in the RoF movie/arc like he has done many times before? I wish they would give Gohan a different outfit. Either something similar to Piccolo or something unique. The Turtle schoool outfit always felt out of place on him. Yeah, I know these aren't scrapped plot points but they're inconsistencies that always bugged me.

It would be such a great callback and pay off to the running gag of him wanting to be on the team, as well as all the tournaments arch of the past. How funny would it be if a Yamucha, person who never got pass the semifinals of the earth tournament, all of a sudden wins the inter-universal tournament of power. You would think that Yamcha could've been asked to join, since he was talking to Gohan. Also there were small Yamcha bits while Goku was gathering team members and when everyone assembled, the writers chose to having him behind the Capsule Corp. building instead of approaching the team.

I wish they had done more with Goku's darker actions at the start of the Universal Survival arc. They were shaping him up to be something like a villain, and the fact that he was very unapologetic with everything he did to set the wheels in motion is forgotten way too easily.

Goku REALLY loves to fight. The problem here is that as Goku becomes more and more powerful, the less and less of a challenge everyone else in his universe is to him. Not to mention he doesn't stick to fighting someone as powerful or more in arms reach(Vegeta, Gohan, Beerus, Whis, training don't count) and keeps moving on from worthy opponent to worthy opponent(in Super for example he went from Hit to Mustached Pride Trooper ,whose name I forgot, to Jiren and now this mystery Saiyan). There was still room for improvement for Goku to get stronger and to defeat these guys because I'm sure they improved too. Goku got so excited at the concept of other Universes housing powerful fighters, fighting just one doesn't cut it anymore, he needs to fight them all. This is like an all you can eat buffet to him. It would be a reeeeaaaaal shame if he got ringed out very early. :)
My dream DB story is Goku's desire to fight really strong guys turns him into the ultimate villan that everyone has to band together to pacify

The one thing i liked about the early saga's of DBZ is at least they made the humans try to be relevant (like Krillin getting his Potential Unlocked by Guru or Tien, Yamcha, and Chaiotzu training on King Kai's Planet and fighting against the Ginyu Force).

I feel like jiren shouldn’t have had a backstory at all. Not knowing where he came from or what happened that influenced jiren’s raw power made him all the more intimidating. He’s like the joker. The joker doesn’t really have an origin story, and yet he’s one of the most iconic villains in history. And it makes Heath Ledger’s joker all the more intimidating, especially considering he tells multiple stories about the origins of his scars. Just think: Hit was considered gokus rival for quite some time, yet no one complained that he didn’t have a backstory. He was just a badass. Jirens backstory more or less put the character on a downward slope after that. He was made to seem more human, and less a super intimidating hunk of space alien booty, which is what makes a good antagonist
Problem there is The Joker actually has a personality, unlike Jiren. The Joker is such a fascinating, unpredictable and funny character you don't care about his backstory. Jiren is a boring, monotone strong man, and seeing him dominate everyone easily (until plothax) got boring.

The absence of the adventures of the Kids during the TOP is when I learned how little the DB team cares about world and or character building unless it strictly relies on the plot. Like, Gotenks will never be relevant unless the plot required him to get in probably Ultimate Gohan’s level in an unreasonable amount of time until they never use them again.
I wanted Yamcha in the TOP. He could have fought a super strong siabaman; defeat it and have it be in the Yamcha death pose.

What bothered me the most about Yamcha is that they foreshadowed him trying to get into the TOP. I was REALLY hoping to see him in it. He was stronger than Roshi at the Saiyan Saga, and kept up with Tien during the Freiza arc... He would have at least been formidable.

What if yamcha went to the tournament and it turned out that he was the only character able to land a blow on Jiren BECAUSE of his low power?
Rimey in the beginning I assumed Jiren's power was to be more powerful than whatever he fought. So a weak fighter would still be beaten but the obvious power would be less. Like he's flat 10% more powerful than his opponent. Which against Goku, means a lot, but vs Yamcha it is almost nothing. And that would be the dark secret, Topo and the others keep low level things away from Jiran because they are more dangerous.

ooooohhhh that honestly would have been a good twist cause honestly look every person jiren fought he was only like 10% better when jiren got hit with that sneak attack by 17 I thinks its because his body sensed someone weaker than goku or vegeta coming up and the reason he cant deal with tag teams is because 1 person is always weaker than the other and his power will rise and drop to compensate but it will cost him which is why he was gtting beat by goku and vegeta his only hope was to learn their pattern but vegeta and goku don't fight together so they don't have a pattern which even if they did they would have beat jirencause whis knows just how powerful they are they are infact unbeatable together
Considering that canonically in Super, Yamcha was the first one to actually land a blow on Beerus. Not Goku in all his forms, it was Yamcha. So this could be a callback, which was never mentioned at all in the show and actually have comedic potential in the right direction for Yamcha.
Jiren would've accidentally killed Yamcha with just a glare, and been disqualified.
Still a few things the next series can do to shake things up some.
-Humans acquire god ki. This can give them a massive power boost to put them on a a level near the saiyans, give those of us that like characters like Yamcha and Tien a few moments, and it could give us an interesting look at Gohan if human physiology behaves differently with God Ki than a race who are known to transform to get stronger. It even opens up a conflict with universe 6, where they discover the reason the earth was destroyed over there was because of humans acquiring god ki and warring with each other over it causing the planet to bust.
-Marron and 17's son discovering something about how their cyborg parents affected them. Maybe the nanomachines that made them into cyborgs are self-replicating and can infect and replace the cells of the children making them cyborgs from birth? Considering 17 and 18 don't age (at least at the same rate) then that could be an interesting situation.
-Explain Super Saiyan Rage? Maybe allow Gohan to acquire it? Heck maybe Trunks feels redundant in his timeline and decides to move to the current one?
-Shake up the god status. Have some kind of a roshambo situation going where there is another being out there that could be defeated by mortals but is so powerful against angels and gods that they could brush of Zeno attempting to erase them.
@MasakoX Actually instead of Roshi, Yamcha should have gotten the random power up, revealing he has secretly been training. After all his entire history of dragon ball z is motivation enough for him to have been doing the training. Especially since the Yamcha Fandom has exploaded from the strongest Yamcha to the dragon ball fighterz reasoning. Yamcha could have developed several new attacks and at least be somewhere around Krillian's usefulness.
In the bonus panel of the Universe Survival manga, it shows Yamcha holding a bat in his U7 baseball outfit talking to Puar - Yamcha telling his best friend that he still trains as a martial artist in case of an emergency.

There quite a bit you can talk about when it comes to Z. From the Buu Arc alone, we got Super Sayian 3, Fusion Dance, Potara, Gohan. All of these were plot devices that led to nothing or just become an anti-climax. My big gripe with the Buu Arc really is that it seem it was going to let the new generation take the mantle, or play a important role at least, but that never really happen. It's a plot thread that went nowhere because they ended up relying on the dead to save the day.
Honestly the biggest problem with two Zenos in the ToP was that it didn't affect the arc in any way. Since both Zenos were just spectators the entire time their presence doesn't actually affect anything that happened, so the exact same events and outcome would've occured even if Future Zeno wasn't present. So far, two Zenos have amounted to nothing that one Zeno can't do, so a future arc really needs to revolve around that dilemma.

I'm making a Dragonball fan manga set in an alternate version of Super and the first volume is set during the hiatus of the Granolah Saga. Its about my Oc and the next gen of Z fighters who are actually teenagers and young adults, taking the reigns as earths protectors, as well as some of the other classical characters, while Goku and Vegeta do their own thing. The villian is Bojack and the manga is based on some of the ideas Masako presented in his Bojack in Super video as well as some of my own ideas and thoughts. Just putting it out there because eventually I'm going to turn it into a motion comic.

This one’s more of a “wasted potential” category, but Nigrisshi from Universe 3 looks more similar to Anilaza in design than anyone else on his team, almost as if he were the base form. Him being casually knocked off the stage by Cabba was kinda disappointing.
I think Nigrisshi could’ve been the one to transform into Anilaza by having a power to indirectly absorb energy (similar to Goku’s Spirit Bomb, but instead takes the energy by force). He could use this ability on the other fighters in the arena throughout the tournament, including Jiren. The rest of the whole Anilaza battle could’ve played out as normal up until the giant energy ball is launched that intends to destroy the arena. Rather than stand by and watch, Toppo, Dyspo and Jiren decide to help Universe 7 in defeating Nigrisshi, eliminating Universe 3 and keeping the arena intact.
In my opinion, I don’t see how Dr. Paparoni could’ve given Koichiarator such an enormous boost in power to become Anilaza. At the very least, he could’ve responsible for activating the fusion of those three robots into one just before being knocked off the arena by someone.

You find out Zeno is actually just a kid playing with his toys alla super smash bros. the reason the plot changes and characterization changes so much episoe to episode is different friends/relatives are playing with the toys that day.
What if Gohan became Super Saiyan God against Beerus instead of Goku?
Fernando Mendoza Gohan would not have given an answer like Goku and would not have been satisfied leading to Beerus blowing up the Earth.
Gohan probably will be really cocky of his new power and let his guard down just like when he got his ultimate/mystic form to fight against super buu. I mean gohan probably not the right person to get the god form i guess. But still i would love to see gohan in god form too.

I think it would be better if it was "What if Vegeta got the Super Saiyan God power first?" instead of Gohan. At that point, he would probably go overconfident like in the Buu Saga.
He'd be extremely weak comparably even though he had his potential unleashed still, it's clear he wasn't training so he would of been weaker than Goku or Vegeta when they went all out against Beerus. Also Vegeta would probably be stronger than Goku but I feel he'd lose harder because he tries too hard and would tire out like in the ToP where he faced Jiren, Goku shows more endurance and adaptation within a fight showing even when he pushed into himself ssg without anymore strength to stop Beerus' planet burst attack.

I agree with Masako. I would have liked to see at least a bit of Trunks, Goten and Marron on the island. I was also curious about what 17's family looked like, maybe show a bit of Marron interacting with her cousin(s).

Yamcha is the strongest human, nobody can tell me otherwise. He's also the most interesting, with a lot of character depth and human character traits such as letting insecurity get in the way of his true potential. I believe that if he was in the TOP and people took him seriously, that insecurity would slowly go away and allow him to fight to his true potential. A tournament where you aren't allowed to fly would be great for Yamcha, considering he's purely martial arts based. Sorry for my vent😄

Remember back in the old dbz games like budokai2 the skill breakthrough? That would allow you to use all moves of said charter without having to select said skills before battle?

Yamcha was my favorite character from the start. He had ambition, he had relationship problems, he had self doubt but in the midst of everything he still charged forward even if it meant losing his life. He’s a very complex character given very little to do. I wish Toriyama would have expanded more on him. But I’m glad he didn’t because seeing a complex character arch in digital animation opposed to cel just wouldn’t do it justice.

I just wanted Goku to learn something as a character. Like maybe watching Universes be destroyed for the sake of the thing he loves most might make him actually question his whole identity as a person. But there were no actual consequences to the tournament and every things hunky dory and no ones learned a thing.
Hit vegeta rematch was WASTED
Instead of 17 coming out of the rubble. It should have been a Tien clone holding on to four rocks separating with his 4 witches technique. This was the real Tien, and Tien only pretended to be knocked out. He took advantage of this when everyone was blinded by Krillin's super Solar flare, and he hid in the audience the entire time from there. While it might be against the rules to fly naturally, it said nothing about *clones*. >_> I know, I just wanted Tien to do SOMETHING.
I would have loved if the ToP had Goku get thrown out as one of the first, and they could have talked about Goku's "tournament curse" where he generally doesn't win despite having the skills, and had the other characters have to scrape by without him.
Yamcha should have had to save the world while the others were gone, and they left Yamcha behind for this *very* reason. Not because he was unworthy, but because they still needed a protector while everyone else was gone.
The children should have had an episode of fighting aliens together.

You forgot one plot point wich is minor but interresting to say the least: Buu's Reasons to train.
I know at the end of Z Buu was fat again, but muscullar Buu was smart, strong and interresting. He wanted to train to have more fun and now it's undone?
I mean come on!
Buu didn't get much to do in Super I know, but... him wanting to train is a sign of an interresting plot point. Mr Satan clearly taught him well since he outsmarted Goku. (not hard to do, but still we're talking about someone more SIMPLE then GOKU)
Buu wanting to train could be interresting especially as time goes on. Heck he could see Goku and Vegeta fight and say... i want to fight like that too.
It could mean he wants to f ight more and get stronger as well. Buu would become an actual skilled fighter and if you think about that.. that would be interresting to see.
Sure we need an antagonist or something with the stakes high enough that Buu wants to join the fight.
But since Super ain't over... and who knows.... maybe we can see the start of the Majin race somehow...
I just want to see Buu fight more.

Also, there's something that always really bugged me about the whole Monaka conspiracy: In Episode 29, Beerus mentions Monaka's name to the gang; however, later, after we get introduced to him and it's revealed he was actually a weakling the entire time, HE IS STILL REFERRED TO AS MONAKA. Which means that either a) Beerus forced him to refer to himself by the name Monaka instead of his actual name, or b) Coincidentally, the one guy Beerus found happened to have the name Monaka. There's also the possibility that Beerus knew him beforehand and has employed his services before, but...why? When? How? This is an inconstancy that was never addressed, and I will forever wonder if Beerus actually fought a warrior named Monaka and just found a guy with the same name.

I have to agree with you on Yamcha,, Tien, and Krillen. I wasn't too upset with Krillen being eliminated first. What I would have liked to have seen was him standing his ground against Frost. I feel as though that would shown more growth in his character. Especially since in the Resurrection F arc he found himself in a place where he was afraid after all the powerful enemies he faced.I don't necessarily like the fact that they have made Yamcha a joke either. I thought he was a pretty cool at first but they constantly kept turning him into more of a doofus as the series went on. It's honestly getting repetitive and it would be nice to see him do more training and fighting in the future. I'm getting sick and tired of him being a loser.As much as I hate them limiting Tien as well, I felt as though as a character there is not much more that can be done with him. I would have liked to have seen him eliminate more people instead of just the one person.Oh and Vegeta should have been the one to kill Freeza!

That would be unsettling. Even with a lack of zenkai from not getting wholly whooped as often you’d be combining the enhanced power and power gain of a saiyan with the skill and technique of a very tactile fighter.

i liked yamcha. i thought he was a nice character. not to strong but was at a nice pace where he can show how strong the enemies were by beating the minions.

Why was Vegeta allowed to wear armour in the tournaments? And why does he wear it during training - wouldn't it just lessen the affect of the training??
I always preferred his Buu saga look, and it made sense since he was joining a tourney, he wouldn't be allowed armour. Don't see why in Super they used the Android saga outfit so much. I would've also liked to have seen a non-armoured version of the suit Bulma made for his God-training.
Oh and why didn't Piccolo magic Gohan an outfit in the RoF movie/arc like he has done many times before?
I wish they would give Gohan a different outfit. Either something similar to Piccolo or something unique. The Turtle schoool outfit always felt out of place on him.
