Keep this truck! No matter if you buy a newer or another. I miss my 01 and 06 Dakotas. Both were quad cab. I own a 2012 Ram now and have owned diesels, but I wish I bought my buds 1st Gen Dakota just like this! v8 manual 4x4 short bed. I'll find another one day
Nice truck I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota Sport Short V6 2WD auto. What you are pointing to @ 4:56 is for the overdrive switch for the automatic transmission/ power mirrors. If you do the math a 25 year old truck should have 300,000 miles. She looks amazing for the age.
I got a '94 Dakota too. Its a 318 with an automatic (wish it was stick but oh well). SLT trim, ext. cab, 238,595 original miles still runs great. She's a little beat up but its a solid little truck. Yours only having 190 on it should still have plenty of life left in it, those 318s run forever with regular maintenance
Great video man. Just wanted you to know, I have a ‘96 Dakota Sport 4x4 , 5.2 V-8, 4 speed automatic. 217,220 miles. My red paint doesn’t look as good as yours anymore but I love this truck!! Happy Motoring!
i have a 95 extended cab slt two tone with 318 and 4x4 with paint matching canopy, sadly automatic, and in pretty good condition other then a small dent behind the tail light and slight paint chipping on the two tone ,extremally solid vehicle. and great power when you need it. i love the Bluetooth setup mine also has it, same mic and everything. that cubby hole is for a electric mirror adjustment knob. i almost never see these trucks around ive had mine for 2 years and in the time i had it, ive seen maybe 6 of them take care of that truck its in excellent condition i don't see many nice as this
The landscaping company I used to work for back in the day had one of these early 90s Dakota V8s with the standard transmission, and that thing hauled ass. I seriously wish I could find one again like that but unfortunately their as rare as a unicorn with wings these days where I live. Great truck! I’d never sell if it was me.
Don’t ever sell that truck! Keep her clean and covered if parked for a while...a lot of miles but still worth $$ and the nostalgia factor along is off the charts!! WOW
Wow, I have an exact replica of this truck except its a 1996. Its 5.2. 5 speed, 4x4 single cab and red. 152k miles. Zero rust bumper to bumper. Beautiful truck, get the polished aluminum rims for it. I just added the Hughes intake for mine. Got rid of that giant kegger. Can see my distributor now!
@@DKfishin honestly it's a waste of 600 bucks for a hunk of aluminum. Looks nice though and revs quick. That's about it. Got an email? I'll send you a picture of mine.
I had a 94 Dakota and put Doug Thorley headers with their full 3in exhaust system and wow did it sound great and moved. I don't think Doug Thorley makes the full system exhaust that I mentioned but if you contacted them, I would think they still would be willing to fill your order. I believe it was supposed to add about 30hp and cost about $1000.00 back in the 90's.
What type of transmission is in it. I got same truck 1995 and just got a 4x4 1995/6 not sure with 318 with full package like electric windows and all. Plan on rebuilding both with manual trannys and all
Beauty truck bud! I’ve got a 94 v6 5spd with the extended cab, dogshit slow but fuck is she ever good on the bush. I’ve got a set of brand new 31” Goodyear duratracs and they’re unreal. Would definitely recommend em
Tyler B i still have a catalytic converter then i have a flow master super 40 muffler, and the pipe is only 2 and 1/4 inch and i might redo my exhaust system and do a dual exhaust and a bigger pipe
@@nateyosemite crankbait up the torsion bars with a big breaker bar or ratchet, it will lift the suspension and I just measured each front tires to the fender until they were both at the the measurement and the truck looked level, then took it straight to get aligned, 31x 10.50 tires will fit no problem with no rub
mine specifically can tow 5200lbs, but ones with different specifications can tow a little more, only suggest towing something like a boat with this truck
nice truck man, i have a 1996 dodge dakota slt 3.9, mine is in great condition aswell. you should add my instagram and i can send you some photos @suppress0r

That truck is awesome nothing will ever be made again in America like this you should hold on to that thing and keep it in the garage

I know I have the same truck you have and that holder that you have was supposed to be for your overdrive that got taken out
i have a '96 V6 Sport... I love it. wish it was a 4wd. thinking about lifting it 1-2 inches and throwing on some 31" in wheels. yours looks great!

Thomas Matejka nice, my family also has a 93 dakota 5 speed but it has the v6 and has 212k miles and still runs great
This is a gorgeous piece of machinery. I envy you. I'm in search of this particular vehicle as we speak
This is a real gem, please keep it safe
Man that is beautiful! I have had a 96 2wd for 14 years. It’s never let me down. You decide to sell I want it!
cool! and sorry but i plan on keeping it for life
i have a 1995 dakota i am rebuilding and i cant find ANY AFTERMARKET parts., PLEASE PLEASE email me i have ??? mailkellyfriend@gmail.com
I have a 97 Reg-Cab 4x4 318 and I'm jealous of how clean and damage free yours is!

I had a '91 v6 2wd club cab...RIP. loved that truck... it took anything I threw at it, I cant imagine what a v8 4x4 would do haha
Make some more videos on this truck!

Beautiful truck. I'd put $5k at that in a heartbeat if it's ever up for sale in about that condition.
I used to have this truck. Straight dual exhaust, lifted but automatic. Some girl took a left turn into me and totaled it. Wish I could find another
My dream truck. Take good care of it! ❤
Do a 0-60 video and a burnout!

That little cubby hole is where the overdrive button is on the automatics
Unicorn Truck honestly. Would be a blast.
Nice truck. How’s she holding up?
Like a beast, 215k on her now and no problems
@@DKfishin good solid truck
Yes, in my opinion the Dodge Dakota is the BEST mid size truck on planet earth.
Iv got two of them. A 1988 and a 1994....YA
Troca perron 💪🏾
was there any storage behind the seats? could you drop them down and store small things behind it?
You can fold the seat back and set stuff back there but there isn’t much room. The extended cabs have storage boxes under the small back seats
I have a cupl questions but first do you still have it?
Nice video I have a 1996 dodge dakota club cab ... I thinking about painting it
This is my favorite body style of the Dakota!
What's your exhaust setup, still have catalytic converter?
Sounds good! 👌
Tyler B i still have a catalytic converter then i have a flow master super 40 muffler, and the pipe is only 2 and 1/4 inch and i might redo my exhaust system and do a dual exhaust and a bigger pipe
Oh wow the stick shift!
dude this is blowing my mind, never seen a v8 4x4 with the 5 speed. Didn't even know they made em. Is it the ax-15?
David Phelps what’s the best way to find out? it might be
it’s either an ax-15 or a NV3550, from what i just read online i think it’s the nv3550
I have the same truck but mine is ext cab
Dang manuals are fun i wish mine was. You dont drive in 2wd like why do u have it in neutral
How many miles do you have on it today??
Does it have a spot where the rain gets in?
My uncle had a 96 Dodge Dakota with the 318 with the 5 speed but it was 2wd
Another thing that makes it rare is the fact that it's a single cab with the v8. most v8's were club cabs.
I've gotta 93 single cab with 318
Would you be interest in selling this truck?
How did you lift the front end I have the same dakota
Is yours 4 where drive?

What kinda gas mileage do you get?
Zachary Hughes like 15 city 20 hwy
Ok thanks
Is it for sell ?
Even in the detroit area these are hard to find
Justin Anger these are hard to find anywhere, i’m lucky i have one
How well do the dakotas tow?

looks good
Are you looking to seek this truck!?!?!?
My Dodge Dakota was made in 12_94
Do you want to sell ???
Only differences mind can carry four people even though it's still made for two
nice truck man, i have a 1996 dodge dakota slt 3.9, mine is in great condition aswell. you should add my instagram and i can send you some photos
