After visiting NASA's Food Laboratory in Houston and trying their burger, Motz is determined to cook a better version for astronauts. Using his deep knowledge about the regional American hamburger, as well as a scientific approach to overcome the challenges of making food for space, will his freeze-dried burger pass the Neil deGrasse Tyson taste-test? This is exactly how I felt on his JRE episode
Neil speaks about what is, was, and will be within the context of what is knowable and unknowable. He also touches on personal truth vs objective truth. He acknowledges of personal truths within the context of the individual and their drives. Being open to being wrong and learning new things would definitely be important if you were to have him as a guest. At some point learning new things becomes a fatiguing so perhaps that may be the point at which he might get the boot.😂

George is the one person that I can count on to understand that a grill is hot but still not respect that a grill is hot.

God I cannot get enough of motz interacting with celebs, the ending had me actually laugh out loud.
I genuinely enjoyed the moments where you could tell that Neil was like 'Oh hey I hadn't thought of that'. He gets that 'oh' or 'woah' or 'wow' or whatever and you can tell he's genuinely excited for the exchange of ideas. He has some bad habits, but the guy really likes learning. George was George, and much like a simple burger, that is *exactly* as it should be.
What bad habits?
@@byzantineaura Neil tends to "Correct" things that really don't need correcting. Like the Smash vs Mash thing in this video. Occasionally he gets far too insistent about it, and it rubs people the wrong way.
He's not wrong, but it's something where he doesn't need to be correct about it.
For a guy that really likes learning, he sure doesn't know how to take a compliment about being good at it.
Neil tends to think he knows the best words that should come out in the best order of everyone's mouth

We need more Neil & George content
Loved this episode, one thing I love watching Neil is he actually listens and considers peoples thoughts/ questions even if he knows it is not possible. Neil will explain how / why it won't work but then will go on to think of it if said reason was not in the way. He is also good at bridging many ideas / topics into what he knows and taking knowledge and putting forth ideas from what he knows back to the original idea/ topic.
He really encourages people into exploring beyond what they know while still keeping them grounded to the laws of nature, it also helps that he becomes interested in what the person is saying to him.
@georgemotz first off thank you for spreading the love of all burgers to everyone! I'm a burger chef and have a deep love for this amazing culinary creation. And thank you for having the man who taught me about the universe than any teacher throughout my education (and made it fun every time❤) next time you head upstate lmk and I'd be honored to have you in the restaurant you mutton chopped stud!!!!
