I have rosacea and have been using the COSRX 96% Snail Mucin essence daily for about 8 months now and my face has improved tremendously to the point where I feel normal without foundation and that speaks volumes. Other than steroidal based creams this is the most effective product on the rosacea that I personally have ever used. I love it and will continue using it!

I bought both of cosrx snail mucin products. Personally, I like the cream better. I actually layer it under the neutrogena hydroboost and then apply my sunscreen over it once it dries. The result....glass skin. My skin is so hydrated and dewy looking all day. I did notice since I incorporated the snail mucin cream into my routine that my skin isn't as inflammed, faded some pigmentation, and helped with overall texture.

Yes, I'm using this essence for like 2 years already. I had pimples on my face all the years, had dry dull skin. Any cream I tried failed me. After reading reviews I learned that korean products are very good & gave it a try. For the first 2 weeks I didn’t really see much of a difference but at least it controlled my acne for the first time. Then after a month I saw a dramatic effect on my skin. My acne scarring all cleared, skin complexion improved a lot & people started complementing me. They think I got prettier than before. I only use this essence, no creme or anything at all. But I do think if u use it with a good moisturiser, it will work a lot better. This is a must for any person who thinks nothing works for them & suffering from acne
I swear by this. It faded dark spots in a single day. Usually my skin takes a while to fade hyperpigmentation from acne. So not only does it serve as a humectant but it also treated dark spots. Definition of value.
You might've experienced good results after a single use but it's unlikely that this (or any skincare product, really) could fade hyperpigmentation in ONE day. There is no miracle product that can work so quickly.
I have been using this for a few weeks now and it’s great! My skin is a hot mess and it is so much clearer and less red using this. I use it on damp skin after a shower in the evening, followed by the cereve resurfacing retinol serum and then by the cereve moisturizing cream in the tub and my skin looks better than it has in years. In the morning I wash with cool water only and use vitamin c serum and sunscreen over that. Thank you Dr. Dray for all of your wonderful information in your videos!

I added this essence to my morning routine and love the result. It does not pill like other hydrating serums I’ve tried. I pair it with the ordinary moisturizer mentioned.
For my skin, this snail mucin works significantly better than any hyaluronic acid formula I have tried. My skin is noticeably more hydrated and the wrinkles are minimized.

Spearmint pills have helped control my hormonal breakouts a lot! I recently started taking 2 a day and haven't gotten any significant chin\jaw breakouts, even during my last few periods. It's worth a shot.

Dr Dray can you make a video on Mugwort and it's benefits! Snail mucin was so hyped in kbeauty but it feels like Mugwort has taken its place! People are raving about it! Many brands have come up with 100% Mugwort essence, mask, cream etc.
If you're interested in mugwort I would highly recommend you try "I'm from"s mugwort range. The benefits are soothing and hydration for a natural glow. Great to use if you have sensitive skin or a bad reaction to a product 🙂
I used the Cosrx snail mucin for over a year. As you mentioned, it is a great hydrator and didn't irritate my already sensitive skin (retin-a user here). I stopped using it a couple months ago because I didn't really see the point in using it since I already use the Hydroboost in combination with a PHA Cica serum in the morning and a heavy ceramide moisturizer. I would recommend the snail serum to those who are curious and want to use it in a simple skincare routine. Side note: Dr. Dray your skin on the bridge of your nose is on point! A dupe for polished alabaster!

I have acne. Since incorporating snail mucin into my routine, I have personally noticed decreased number of inflamed acne lesions and faster healing time of inflamed acne that does erupt. The shorter healing time has also significantly improved how dark the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation spot gets after the pimple is gone. So far, I've tried the CosRx essence and Mizon all-in-one snail repair cream.
I've been using this for two weeks under my CeraVe PM and sunscreen in the morning. Other than the The Ordinary's Marine Hyaluronics, it's one of the best hydrators I've used. I'm glad I finally tried it and even more happy that cruelty to snails isn't involved. ❤️

@@starr2870 I’d recommend only using it at night , but you can use it twice a day if you want it’s just not necessary in order to get the benefits from the product. The product is an essence which goes on after washing your face and before your moisturizer. If you’re using a toner and or serum with the product put on the toner first after washing your face then this product on then the serum then a moisturizer.
Hi, this comment has nothing to do with this video. It’s a suggestion. Could you do a video about skincare for healthcare workers during this Covid-19 situation? I shower both before and after work and wash my hands constantly (obviously). Others may have different routines but the concept is the same, our skin is taking a beating that cannot be avoided. Im using lots of Cerave cream and moisturizing hair products. Can you suggest a head to toe routine to help repair the damage to our skin and hair?
Agreed . I love my Cerave and Gold Bond but I need another solution. I’ve started doing Neutrogena Hand Cream with gloves on at night but the benefits of that will only last so long at work. Jamie L Would it help to lay a small piece of gauze between your skin and the mask so it doesn’t irritate your face as much? I know you have to maintain a seal with the N95 but I was hoping there might be a way to put a barrier between your skin and the mask. If you see someone from your facility’s wound care team, they may have a good suggestion about what to use.
Ive been using Snail 96 from CosRX for almost 6 months, and I started seeing results on how hidrated my sking was getting after 2 months. I used ot together with the AHA/BHA clarifyen toner. On the 3rd month I added the BHA Returning sking Emulsion, Mela 14 white ampoulle, and the ultimate nourishing Rice over night mask from cosRX Line. My skin has gotten so much better as far as humectation, hidration and smoothness. Although my tiny fine line from the forehead has not disappeared. Also I had like a rash type of acne, that faded off after I stopped eating bread, pastries, and milk. For the first time my sking feels as smooth as a baby.

I noticed that when I use this before an active, like vitamin c serum or niacinamide or retinol, I don't get any irritations. Of course seal everything up with a moisturizer, then sunblock during the day.

I jumped on the Cosrx Snail 92 All in one Cream wagon. Still using it 2-3 nights a week. I do feel it provides good hydration and has a soothing effect. I am still using the Cosrx Overnight Rice Mask once week as well. I really like Cosrx simple ingredients.
Hadalabo Oil Cleanse. PC Perfectly Balanced Cleanser. COSrx Snail 96 Essence. Tretinoin. Purito Centella Recovery Cream (Fragranced, ugh, but it works so well and it's a very light scent).
I like the Cosrx snail. I use it primarily in the winter when it's super dry here in Calgary. Then in the summer I switch over to the Essence toner by Pyungkang Yul. It's not as sticky

You just explained why I stopped using Neutrogenas hydro boost gel cream! I felt like it did nothing for me and found cetaphils moisturizing lotion better but now I use Soon Jung 2x intensive barrier and it’s lit asf. I finished up a bottle of this essence! I thought it wasn't doing anything to my skin but after I stopped using it, I felt my skin was not as hydrated as it was when I used the essence! My moisturizer didn't get absorbed that well too! I think it is great for hydrating (not moisturising) dry skin! I love the consistency and how it feels on my skin! And for the snail cream, dry skinned people, please don't use it as the final moisturizer, it will not moisturize your skin enough! The areas around my mouth felt quite dry after using it! 💜🐌
Luigi Love I have the same thoughts abt this product. I’m on my 2nd bottle but already stocking 3 lol I thought its just a hydrating product and no more than that. However, when I run out of it and while waiting for restock, I noticed my skin went down hill lol The healing function of this product is the reason why I keep coming back to this.
To be honest I'm not a fan of hyaluronic acid... I find it makes my skin feel tight which I don't like... however my sister had the Cosrx advanced snail 96 mucin power essence and let me try it, and it was seriously the most hydrating and smoothing product for my skin than made it feel insanely soft. So for me this is nothing like hyaluronic acid and I can tell the difference between them.
@@michaelj1729 To be fair hyaluronic acid by itself doesn't "lock" anything. It simply attracts moisture. If you live in a dry climate, HA will pull moisture out of your skin to the surface where it evaporates. HA is amazing for people living in moist climate. But those who live in a dry climate need a petrolatum cream as an occlusive to prevent the moisture loss.
I went from using Laroche Posay salicylic acid face wash, Neutrogena hydro boost gel, Neutrogena combo skin moisturizer, and Differin to watching a sh*t ton of videos and completely changing it up to about 20 new products I've been experimenting with. I have no idea which products are doing what or working, but I know they're working! My skin has transformed completely.
Yuck! And what exactly happens to them when you put salt on them? Seems like they disappear. Kids did that when I was a kid, wonder who taught them that?
I have already used 1.5 bottles of it, i have an acne prone skin and keep on getting breakouts time and again. This essence is good for hydration under moisturizer. It calms down the skin and does not irritate my skin or break me out. Otherwise, i didn't see any other change but I still love this product and will continue to use it.

it's an essence but i basically use it as a hydrating serum before moisturizer, on a very good day this essence is all i need to keep my skin hydrated without feeling greasy, love it!
I have a dermatologist for acne problems, but she lacks pro activity. Whenever I ask a question I get a yes or no. Thanks to Dr Dray Chanel. I have found some great products through her videos; such the hada labo’s HA lotion, the cerave FPS 30 sunscreen ( which peel sometimes, not always) and gives a nice skin kind of like I have a bit foundation on.
I used to use a Peruvian snail secretion gel no longer available I know snail is great on acne scars.i recently found this line I bought cleanser, all in one cream and this serum and in just one use I noticed a huge difference in my skin looks so much better excited to continue using.

This is one of my Favorite products! I use it everyday:) I actually got a pretty severe chemical burn on my arm while working and I’ve been applying it as my burns are in the more scanned over phase and I do believe it’s helping the healing process.
I've been using this product for the past 6 months. I generally use it at bedtime with other products since it is a little tacky. It's got a great slip to it and even though I can't see obvious changes in my skin with this products, I can appreciate its' benefits (as I do use retinols, vit C and acids), I think it makes a great compliment to my holy grail regimen. And it's very affordable here in Canada.

I had an issue with the packaging of the cream version of this product, the insides of the lid was peeling off -.- but overall I liked what it does to my skin, it's hydrated and glowing, never gave me a breakout. A holy grail, indeed.

This is a great essence! I've always used a more water based essence and was kinda sceptical about this one, only because of the consistency. But I was surprised! Its light, goes great under other products, and great under makeup. Y'all should try it out if your looking for a boost in your skincare routine!!😁🤟🏾
I think you would like the rovectin skin essentials activating treatment lotion 😀 it has seven hyaluronic acids, glycerin, panthenol, and niacinamide! personally it helps my skin stay hydrated under my moisturizer 😊
I havent been using this for long but I see immediate effect on my dry skin. Its the only thing I added on my routine and I get the glass skin effect after and even after waking up. Im glad I am more consistent with it now. So affordable too!🥰

Meaning it doesn't provide any moisturization of its own but rather tries to hold onto the already present moisture for as long as possible. 3rd bottle? So one lasted you for 4 months? But up to now i keep this on hand. If i use the cosrx dual essence (niacinamide + snail), then i skip this bc its similar but only lower snail concentration. But i like the added niacinamide. Sorry hard to explain bc i use and test different products now. Bottomline this is always handy esp if i need extra protection esp when i use actives and retinoids. Ive also tried it on some beauty devices. As far as moisturizer, its a must for me as the last step bc i hv maturing dry skin.

I use the Peach Slices snail rescue wash off mask 4-5 mornings a week. I put it on first thing, do some morning things and then hop in the shower and wash it off. It's really helped calm down the redness in my skin and it's a nice, refreshing ritual. I really like it. I'm on my second jar.
i layered 3-4 pumps of cosrx snail mucin with 3 drops of hada labo moisturizer everyday, day and night for about two weeks and started seeing good results. i’ve had acnes for a very long time and i hope this duo could finally cleared it up
@@chesiresays yes i immediately use 2 pumps only, i was wrong it was too slimy aswell and i don’t think it absorbs well into my skin with that amount of product :’)
I use Mizon Snail Repair BB Cream, a Korean foundation with snail secretion filtrate. All I’ve noticed is that it tends to apply very smoothly and is very dewy, and that I credit both to the snail. It’s a nice product (fragrance free of course). I like it better than the handful of foundations and bb creams I’ve tried because of its finish and its color match for me. If anyone is interested in it, though, I’d give you one caution: you’d better have a powder you like for this. I don’t find myself needing to powder it throughout the day or anything, but because it’s so dewy, a little powder is a must, or you’ll look like you’re going for glass skin. But even if you want the glass skin look, I’d recommend using a little powder and then some finishing spray afterwards, because if you don’t, it’s not quite as resilient to transference as would be ideal. It won’t come right off with a single tap or anything, but a bit of powder and spray (less is more) absolutely does make this more durable.
I'm super depressed. Like clinically depressed. That means most days I struggle to even wash my face in the morning or night, sometimes for days kn end. The only way I've been able to keep my skin relatively acne clear and healthy is whenever I wash my face, I use this essence as a follow up and I kid you not, for someone so depressed this essence has looked after my skin during this time~ highly recommend! I tried a sample of the Tensage Daily Serum ($136/1 oz). I have sensitive skin and today there is vitamin C in this snail mucin serum. I had redness and irritation, plus the bad-smelling fragrance (not vitamin C smell) was off-putting. Also tried the Tensage Soothing Cream Moisturizer sample ($70.50/1 oz). It has fragrance which is fresh and subtle. The moisturizer does not have vitamin c but does have Boswellia extract. My skin felt velvety, but it still has an added fragrance. Good to know about COSRX.
I love this snail essence from COSRX, it helped me a lot with my skin texture and I feel difference when I stop use it. On the other hand the snail cream is horrible, the texture reminds me of a certain type of glue.

I used to just put petroleum jelly over the snail mucin at night. It the mornings, I was just moisturizing with sunscreen. My skin was really great during that time

Yes, I'm using this essence for like 2 years already. I had pimples on my face all the years, had dry dull skin. Any cream I tried failed me. After reading reviews I learned that korean products are very good & gave it a try. For the first 2 weeks I didn’t really see much of a difference but at least it controlled my acne for the first time. Then after a month I saw a dramatic effect on my skin. My acne scarring all cleared, skin complexion improved a lot & people started complementing me. They think I got prettier than before. I only use this essence, no creme or anything at all. But I do think if u use it with a good moisturiser, it will work a lot better. This is a must for any person who thinks nothing works for them & suffering from acne

I swear by this. It faded dark spots in a single day. Usually my skin takes a while to fade hyperpigmentation from acne. So not only does it serve as a humectant but it also treated dark spots. Definition of value.
You might've experienced good results after a single use but it's unlikely that this (or any skincare product, really) could fade hyperpigmentation in ONE day. There is no miracle product that can work so quickly.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and it’s great! My skin is a hot mess and it is so much clearer and less red using this. I use it on damp skin after a shower in the evening, followed by the cereve resurfacing retinol serum and then by the cereve moisturizing cream in the tub and my skin looks better than it has in years. In the morning I wash with cool water only and use vitamin c serum and sunscreen over that. Thank you Dr. Dray for all of your wonderful information in your videos!

I used the Cosrx snail mucin for over a year. As you mentioned, it is a great hydrator and didn't irritate my already sensitive skin (retin-a user here). I stopped using it a couple months ago because I didn't really see the point in using it since I already use the Hydroboost in combination with a PHA Cica serum in the morning and a heavy ceramide moisturizer. I would recommend the snail serum to those who are curious and want to use it in a simple skincare routine. Side note: Dr. Dray your skin on the bridge of your nose is on point! A dupe for polished alabaster!

I have acne. Since incorporating snail mucin into my routine, I have personally noticed decreased number of inflamed acne lesions and faster healing time of inflamed acne that does erupt. The shorter healing time has also significantly improved how dark the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation spot gets after the pimple is gone. So far, I've tried the CosRx essence and Mizon all-in-one snail repair cream.

I've been using this for two weeks under my CeraVe PM and sunscreen in the morning. Other than the The Ordinary's Marine Hyaluronics, it's one of the best hydrators I've used. I'm glad I finally tried it and even more happy that cruelty to snails isn't involved. ❤️

@@starr2870 I’d recommend only using it at night , but you can use it twice a day if you want it’s just not necessary in order to get the benefits from the product. The product is an essence which goes on after washing your face and before your moisturizer. If you’re using a toner and or serum with the product put on the toner first after washing your face then this product on then the serum then a moisturizer.
Hi, this comment has nothing to do with this video. It’s a suggestion. Could you do a video about skincare for healthcare workers during this Covid-19 situation? I shower both before and after work and wash my hands constantly (obviously). Others may have different routines but the concept is the same, our skin is taking a beating that cannot be avoided. Jamie L Would it help to lay a small piece of gauze between your skin and the mask so it doesn’t irritate your face as much? I know you have to maintain a seal with the N95 but I was hoping there might be a way to put a barrier between your skin and the mask. If you see someone from your facility’s wound care team, they may have a good suggestion about what to use.
Ive been using Snail 96 from CosRX for almost 6 months, and I started seeing results on how hidrated my sking was getting after 2 months. I used ot together with the AHA/BHA clarifyen toner. On the 3rd month I added the BHA Returning sking Emulsion, Mela 14 white ampoulle, and the ultimate nourishing Rice over night mask from cosRX Line. My skin has gotten so much better as far as humectation, hidration and smoothness. Although my tiny fine line from the forehead has not disappeared. Also I had like a rash type of acne, that faded off after I stopped eating bread, pastries, and milk. For the first time my sking feels as smooth as a baby.

I've tried that but I find Benton's snail essence works better for my oily combo skin. Benton is also a Korean skincare brand.
I'm a minimalist so wouldn't have bought this product but my daughter gave me a bottle and I do really like it! Very hydrating esp. around my eyes.
I noticed that when I use this before an active, like vitamin c serum or niacinamide or retinol, I don't get any irritations. Of course seal everything up with a moisturizer, then sunblock during the day.

I jumped on the Cosrx Snail 92 All in one Cream wagon. Still using it 2-3 nights a week. I do feel it provides good hydration and has a soothing effect. I am still using the Cosrx Overnight Rice Mask once week as well. I really like Cosrx simple ingredients.
Hadalabo Oil Cleanse. PC Perfectly Balanced Cleanser. COSrx Snail 96 Essence. Tretinoin. Purito Centella Recovery Cream (Fragranced, ugh, but it works so well and it's a very light scent).

I like the Cosrx snail. I use it primarily in the winter when it's super dry here in Calgary. Then in the summer I switch over to the Essence toner by Pyungkang Yul. It's not as sticky

You just explained why I stopped using Neutrogenas hydro boost gel cream! I felt like it did nothing for me and found cetaphils moisturizing lotion better but now I use Soon Jung 2x intensive barrier and it’s lit asf. I finished up a bottle of this essence! I thought it wasn't doing anything to my skin but after I stopped using it, I felt my skin was not as hydrated as it was when I used the essence! My moisturizer didn't get absorbed that well too! I think it is great for hydrating (not moisturising) dry skin! I love the consistency and how it feels on my skin! And for the snail cream, dry skinned people, please don't use it as the final moisturizer, it will not moisturize your skin enough! The areas around my mouth felt quite dry after using it! 💜🐌

To be honest I'm not a fan of hyaluronic acid... I find it makes my skin feel tight which I don't like... however my sister had the Cosrx advanced snail 96 mucin power essence and let me try it, and it was seriously the most hydrating and smoothing product for my skin than made it feel insanely soft. So for me this is nothing like hyaluronic acid and I can tell the difference between them.

@@dogs3355 you should apply hyaluronic acid when ur skin is damp or semi wet so it can take in the moisture and lock it in ur skin.
@@michaelj1729 To be fair hyaluronic acid by itself doesn't "lock" anything. It simply attracts moisture. If you live in a dry climate, HA will pull moisture out of your skin to the surface where it evaporates. HA is amazing for people living in moist climate. But those who live in a dry climate need a petrolatum cream as an occlusive to prevent the moisture loss.
You might be using it wrong, apply it while the skin is damp then put moisturizer on top of it.

I have already used 1.5 bottles of it, i have an acne prone skin and keep on getting breakouts time and again. This essence is good for hydration under moisturizer. It calms down the skin and does not irritate my skin or break me out. Otherwise, i didn't see any other change but I still love this product and will continue to use it.

I have a dermatologist for acne problems, but she lacks pro activity. Whenever I ask a question I get a yes or no. Thanks to Dr Dray Chanel. I have found some great products through her videos; such the hada labo’s HA lotion, the cerave FPS 30 sunscreen ( which peel sometimes, not always) and gives a nice skin kind of like I have a bit foundation on.

I've been using this product for the past 6 months. I generally use it at bedtime with other products since it is a little tacky. It's got a great slip to it and even though I can't see obvious changes in my skin with this products, I can appreciate its' benefits (as I do use retinols, vit C and acids), I think it makes a great compliment to my holy grail regimen. And it's very affordable here in Canada.

I had an issue with the packaging of the cream version of this product, the insides of the lid was peeling off -.- but overall I liked what it does to my skin, it's hydrated and glowing, never gave me a breakout. A holy grail, indeed.

This is a great essence! I've always used a more water based essence and was kinda sceptical about this one, only because of the consistency. But I was surprised! I havent been using this for long but I see immediate effect on my dry skin. Its the only thing I added on my routine and I get the glass skin effect after and even after waking up. Im glad I am more consistent with it now. So affordable too!🥰

@@marsh.skinandmakeup If you feel like it locks everything in then you are prolly using an occlusive type moisturizer. Meaning it doesn't provide any moisturization of its own but rather tries to hold onto the already present moisture for as long as possible.

But up to now i keep this on hand. If i use the cosrx dual essence (niacinamide + snail), then i skip this bc its similar but only lower snail concentration. But i like the added niacinamide. Sorry hard to explain bc i use and test different products now. Bottomline this is always handy esp if i need extra protection esp when i use actives and retinoids. Ive also tried it on some beauty devices. As far as moisturizer, its a must for me as the last step bc i hv maturing dry skin.

I use the Peach Slices snail rescue wash off mask 4-5 mornings a week. I put it on first thing, do some morning things and then hop in the shower and wash it off. It's really helped calm down the redness in my skin and it's a nice, refreshing ritual. I really like it. I'm on my second jar.

I use Mizon Snail Repair BB Cream, a Korean foundation with snail secretion filtrate. All I’ve noticed is that it tends to apply very smoothly and is very dewy, and that I credit both to the snail. It’s a nice product (fragrance free of course). I like it better than the handful of foundations and bb creams I’ve tried because of its finish and its color match for me. If anyone is interested in it, though, I’d give you one caution: you’d better have a powder you like for this. I don’t find myself needing to powder it throughout the day or anything, but because it’s so dewy, a little powder is a must, or you’ll look like you’re going for glass skin. But even if you want the glass skin look, I’d recommend using a little powder and then some finishing spray afterwards, because if you don’t, it’s not quite as resilient to transference as would be ideal. It won’t come right off with a single tap or anything, but a bit of powder and spray (less is more) absolutely does make this more durable.

I'm super depressed. Like clinically depressed. That means most days I struggle to even wash my face in the morning or night, sometimes for days kn end. The only way I've been able to keep my skin relatively acne clear and healthy is whenever I wash my face, I use this essence as a follow up and I kid you not, for someone so depressed this essence has looked after my skin during this time~ highly recommend! I tried a sample of the Tensage Daily Serum ($136/1 oz). I have sensitive skin and today there is vitamin C in this snail mucin serum. I had redness and irritation, plus the bad-smelling fragrance (not vitamin C smell) was off-putting. Also tried the Tensage Soothing Cream Moisturizer sample ($70.50/1 oz). It has fragrance which is fresh and subtle. The moisturizer does not have vitamin c but does have Boswellia extract. My skin felt velvety, but it still has an added fragrance. Good to know about COSRX.
I love this snail essence from COSRX, it helped me a lot with my skin texture and I feel difference when I stop use it. On the other hand the snail cream is horrible, the texture reminds me of a certain type of glue.
