Think you might have mixed confused with mastered. Live gigs or recordings like this are always mixed so each instrument has the appropriate amount of gain/volume compared to all the others. I understand what you mean about that 'live' feel, somehow they have even captured it on the album, but whoever mixed and bounced down the audio for this has done a shite job
What are you on about you idiot! I never said that the album wasn't mixed before it was mastered. You made the argument that if I wanted the 'mixed' version that I should listen to the album. Live recordings ARE mixed, and this was obviously recorded in studio, via a MIXING desk, you twat. Don't put in your shitty 2 cents when you have no idea what you are talking about!

I've seen these guys live in the UK and the gig was only big enough to hold 200-300 people, it was the best gig I've ever been to. So intimate and they sound amazing

The passion and presentation. What we don't have anymore with the top charts. Falling in Reverse is another great band that has learned to adapt, introduce multiple genres in their songs, and perform on stage and can sound like the album recordings - like Highly Suspect is doing here. *BUDDY*

Kyle Fricks nah, being older does add to being a boomer but I’m mostly saying so for those archaic beliefs you hold as to what real music is. Music made on a computer is just as real as music made by musicians. When I talked about opening your eyes I meant that I hope you expand your musical horizons because they seem to be lacking.

Blammo D bridge pickup. medium ish gain and a blues driver pedal with high ish drive and tone. that's what I do nd I think it sounds pretty close
Ive been trying to get a sound like this. I crank a Supro Thunderbolt S6420, with a Blues Driver and an EarthQuaker Dunes. For the reverb pedal he uses in songs like the end of Lost or the beginning/end of Wolf, get either a Mr Black Supermoon or an Earthquaker Afterneath.

@@Crazelord91 I actually don't think it's the case. Not being a fanboy here, but johnny has always been into rap. If you don't believe me just go to highly suspect's youtube page. If you go deep down into their videos there's one that is a rap song made by johnny. The desire has always been there, it's only that now they can allow themselves the risk of releasing that kind of music. No problem if you don't like it, I'm not really into it myself, but one does realize when it's forced and when it's real.
Highly Suspect are a great band, but I am yet to find a live version of one of their songs where the sound guy hasn’t fucked up the mix. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE LINK ME A PERFORMANCE WHERE THE SOUND GUY UNDERSTANDS THEIR SOUND??

People talking shit about the sound mix. Ya know, I kinda like this semi-studio mix. It's not all polished up and some of that pure creativity and passion shines through the dirt. This is the recording of the song that I always come back to.

It's hard to find good rock music these days it's like it's there mixing rap and Rick but not real rock here we are again real rock music
they're a blend of a lot of things. You can hear bands like Sublime (esp in their earlier albums) and blues elements in their work.. among many others. Theyre true music fans without the genre elitism. They have Yung Thug and Gojira featured in the same album.. if that tells you anything.

His style is ridiculous
This sounds great! Clothing choice is ridiculously funny..😆 kinda dampens the songs presence imo over all I like the kinda stuff they do w/ guitar parts sounding like gears clanking or something as part of a larger machine maybe. The staccato parts add a sense of nihilistic dread..it’s awesome, interesting..well arranged. The new songs have diminished in quality though, unfortunately
songwriting at its best. Metaphorically rich. I think that may be the only downside of the song, the majority of the public isn't intelligent to have the comprehension of the depth of this. That and most people have their heads so far up their own asses they can't accept they've ever been the one in the wrong against someone else before. Everyone has fucked someone over before.. especially in a relationship
