Mum had always just told us Dads friend introduced them and left it at that. At Christmas , Dad was reminiscing and sharing stories and told us the long version. I was blown away ! Not only because it is such a neat story but i had NO idea, my sweet gentle Mother was former military ! I knew Dad and several Uncles were but not my Mum. Mad respect instantly increased by 10.

Sounds very similar to me and my hubby, we had mutual friends who took us to a nightclub with them, and the rest they say is history! I knew the first time we kissed, I'd end up marrying him. That was 37yrs ago. We've been married 33yrs have 2 grown-up sons and two grandchildren. Through some tough times health wise, he has always been by my side, and I don't regret a single thing. There's something about the 80's! My husband and I met in 82, dated for about two weeks when he broke up with me on Valentine's Day!!! But! We always stayed in touch! And in 86, we got back together, and got married in 88, when our son was 18 months old, and our daughter was three. And we were married for 30 years, until his death in '19. And we were high school sweethearts, too! So yea, there is something definitely about the 80's!!!!!!
