Nope. As someone who does 16-8 or 18-6, you can fast and gain weight. Trust me bro 😂. It's been done. But I would definitely recommend intermittent fasting, it's very easy because it works with all different diets. I know people who did IT without telling their family (didn't want to expose kids to it for fear of creating food problems), they skip breakfast and have two meals with them. Getting past the 10-12hrs no food mark is hard but once you pass it, Intermittent fasting is very unobtrusive.
No no no no, I fast about 18-20 hrs I do not have this mindset, you can’t eat whatever you want. There are some meals that are the portion of a burger that are 2000 cal taste like heaven on a plate. 14 hrs? you can’t eat anything, yes you have more fuck ups from day to day, but eating anything that mind set is setting up failure.

That’s some good advice. I think for weight loss, a keto or keto-ish eating habit is the way to go. Some good meats, cheeses and veggies, won’t miss. A beef soup (caldo de rez) with some yam and cabbage in it always hits for me so I have tons of it. Or some ground turkey with onions, tomatoes, bell pepper and a can of kidney beans does it, too. There’s a lot of good food you can prepare that make the absence of sugars, and carbs not really make too much of a difference. Zero breads or processed sugars will get you on the healthy side, fast.
I was a vegetarian for my whole life. But not a healthy one.. all my meals were carb heavy. I started eating meat last year. I still love eating carb heavy.. Thank you so much for this 1 carb suggestion. I’m going to apply it. 😁👍

Coming from a mexican family it is common to see 3 different carbs and sometimes 4 in your plate. I try to educate my parents to cut back some especially on the tortilla and add more veggies.

A bit of chemistry. Beans are legumes combined with structure of rice they make a complete protein--and a protein that's absorbed in a fashion that can effectively manage blood sugar. So, just drop the tortilla or drop the chicken. Just fyi.

Oh I did that today at chipotle, two weeks ago I got the new brisket and doubled it with the shredded beef and did all of the rice, beans and tortilla. It was so good, I only do it once a week though

I can confirm. I unintentionally fasted recently and although I was really hungry and feeling weak, mentally I felt clearer then I've ever been.

I have always been thin and I do this. I don’t diet or count calories but I eat a certain way that keeps me in shape.😊
I eat McDonald’s every. Single. Day. and I stay at 155lbs at 184cm’s of height because I only eat twice including breakfast because I smoke ciggies
