Just installed mine. But had to mount it sideways to clear the back door. I needed an eyelet and used a piece of the old cable. Yes Lippert! Two more feet! Zip ties and ring connector! Third hole didn’t match up but it seems pretty solid. 70 F who can do just about anything. Thanks!!❤
Agreed on the extra length!
On the mounting bolts - I’d personally turn it so that you can mount all three - those bolts are the only thing holding up the trailer and the engineers put three in for a reason.
Turning just the jack head is a much better option than only using two mounting holes.

But if I had to choose between turning the jack with only 2 holes or having it be in the way with all three- without a doubt I’d have it in the way and all three mounting bolts

Can you wire into the battery instead?
Yeah I don't see why not - its just one more thing to hook onto the battery terminals though.
I’ll have to show this to my son, for some reason the tailgates on the Dodge can’t be lowered, maybe he can just turn his jack
Quite possible! If it won't work with his equipment another option might be to get a longer shank for the hitch.
