Question, i have an 03 Toyota corolla, and when we start up, we can hear a gurgling or rubbing sound or like the timing chain is rubbing. I cant quite explain the sound. It only does it at idle when in gear and low RPM. Im wondering if its an issue with the timing chain tensioner. Could that cause the symptom im trying to describe? After watching this, not sure its something Id try to tackle myself. What would an estimate be (rough guess) to have that taken care of? IF its not the timing chain or tensioner, what else do you think it could be?
if the noise is coming from inside of the area definitely some timing components are failing, some times the guides brake also if the vvt timing gear goes bad it will make noise, the thing is when the components get so old any thing can fail n it is better to replace every thing, yes a bad tensioner will cause noise, cost will depend if parts from dealer or after market

Why did you take the intake and exhaust header off on this video but not on your previous one?
hi thanks for sharing, I had to replace exhaust manifold gasket n intake manifold gasket
