(*flashbacks*)
So glad to see you enjoy Library of Ruina!! It's such a fun game honestly. The gameplay loop is great and the story hooks always makes you want to keep going to the next node. Btw, the music is made by Studio EIM, who makes music for various Korean video games, such as MapleStory if you've ever played that, they've done a wonderful job with the soundtrack here. I'm also excited for your reactions to new music too : D and of course to everything that will happen in this game. A tip that I think the game never tells you since it was implemented pretty late in early access: if you have multiple pages that can overtake and clash with an enemy, you can switch between the pages with the tab button to choose which page you think will best take that clash. And as I see some other people mentioning, you can always switch to a new page if you don't like the action you're taking anymore, or cancel it outright with the right mouse button. Hod has the cutest voice right?? I love her so much 🥺
"These could be the protagonists of their own game, and they're about to fucking die" oh boi, i cant wait till you meet some of the later characters...
Something I was told to try and get at the early part of the game (that I completely forgot about to the point were it sort of became redundant) is Mar's key page, it's pretty gooood
Fun Fact: cannibalism is disadvantageous for humans because human bio mass contains diseases that other humans are implicitly vulnerable to. Therefore, although the particular diseases contracted via cannibalism differing, the method/ethos is surprisingly similar to STI transmission due to the directness and intensity of human-into-human contact.
Shy Look really is a sweary boy... girl... thing... Always love seeing reactions to that one text of their's during the suppression. Sadly most people miss it.
Im really enjoying this!! I feel like I'm learning whilst watching, don't get me wrong it's not like I'm gonna watch this and not play it myself. I am so psyched to do my own run of this game at a later date! But to the uninitiated, this really does help and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes! In the immortal words of the bridges, keep on keeping on!
But the way you can change the page you’ve selected by right clicking on the dice, you won’t lose the page or anything, this is especially useful later on so it’s good to learn now
To note, you are allowed to swap the card you intend to play. A card does not play until combat starts so reneging on a decision is always available unless the card is an "on use" or you've started combat. Also, fun fact, in early versions of LoR, your opponents used to also be able to take abno pages rather than guest specific emotion pages. This lead to a problem of the guests taking footfalls on Malkuth's floor and instantly dying upon the next combat via explosion. Obviously, this has since been changed, but it was very funny for the time it was possible. And, as expected, there are a lot of general invitations with some giving good rewards. Make sure to check any combinations of books that you think might work, "?" will appear when a new combination is formed that you have not seen before. It is to be expected for people to be gushing over Hod, for this video, it is known that people have had (figurative) heart attacks because of some of her lines.
General invitations are pretty important, they give some pretty good cards and many of them are key archetype pieces. I personally recommend you to use the wiki to make sure that you dont miss any, its pretty easy to miss some of them and there isnt really nothing in the game to guide with what books you need for each one
For starters keep up the good work! It's already nostalgic. I've played it in early access and never been so engaged. Every week or two a new patch would drop and you are ready to jump in straight away. It's so so so cool to see all abnormalities back in action but in a new way. Love their music choises and here it's even more great music than before, so good. It's all and even more than you would want\imagine for a next game after Lob Corp. They nailed it. Good thing that you will not encounter some really bad bugs that we had back in days (also nerfs). Not gonna lie i want to see you being destroyed in certain fights, while also see you overcoming them. So i hope you will enjoy the game as much as i did. Good luck.
Ah yes the 1-12 rolling a one the feels Also look of the day is my favorite abno pages. Its just a + 2 power for every dice as long as you can be patient and wait for the angry face
a note about block, it reduces damage taken even on clash loss, so if you dont think you can win against a strong card from an enemy it can be good to just try to mitigate some of the damage.
Did you read the abnormalities the abnormalities gimmicks? Forsaken Murder loses 4 dice power when under status effect, so his big attack is severely weakened. Good luck fighting the Alpeh Abnormalities without reading.
It's already sounds miserable as hell back in LobCorp. Strangely enough Angela knew about the world to tell the name of almost all aspect of The City and the outside in the true ending. In LoR: Syndicate? What's that about
@@anothenblue2630 Not really. Based on Angela's basically reciting what Benjamin is about to say to now memory wiped A, it essentially implies that living Benjamin has gone through saying the exact same line presumably what failing and resetting an iteration of Seed of Light scenario, thus Angela stopping him is an independent response from her. In fact, she has many independent action and response inside LobCo already even when it's during the scenario e.g. "Do you think this is scripted or not" line (Not like memory wiping Benjamin being a possible solution instead of outright killing him anyway) Also why would the true ending Angela would be scripted anyway when the script conclude after the Seed of Light scenario, the whole reason why she is able to take The Light for herself to begin with? Following is LoR spoiler of the series: Also, do you think I don't take issues of in LoR retcon "the script" to be a literal paper written by Ayin for Angela to recite instead of figuratively? Can you imagine Ayin written down those praises for A by him? I had trouble actually believing that. Especially when the game definitely trying to make Ayin look as bad as possible to make Angela look better in contrast.
@@loading0901 Benjamin was always meant to go back to LC and die to be converted into Hokma. What Angela tells him after she cuts him off is her own choice since it's not relevant, but the whole thing is otherwise a part of the script. What little independent lines she has don't really change much and true ending Angela isn't scripted, but if you're referring to her listing various terms, she never actually displays knowledge of what they are. She'd naturally hear these things mentioned by people, but she'd have no reason to know more. The script telling Angela to praise A would be weird, but she's not talking to A when she does that, she's talking to X, who would need encouragement to keep going. It's not like LoR needs to even try to make Ayin look bad, he's a terrible person and an idiot in LC too. The only new stuff is the scenario resetting if Angela doesn't put everyone into their personal hell, her different perception, Ayin's absolute disdain for her, abandonment and rejection are all present there.
@@anothenblue2630 Ayin being an idiot in LC is also whole another problem. Despite being a super evil genius somehow failed to think through obvious pitfall of his own plan e.g. Letting Angela be free too quickly, ripping off Carmen spine as first solution despite having cogito source available and at no point the game has mentioned supply shortage or any other circumstances making this move necessary. "Benjamin was meant to go back to LC and die..." and yeah that was a problem too, my question WHY is he needed to be killed when doesn't needed to???? What I am saying is the story of LC is fundamentally an impossibility if the characters are making reasonable choices within their characters and circumstances, which is such a rarity in these days media. It is a shame that PM wasted their story concept over it because I do ended up invested a bit to a degree. (Which is why I bothered to criticise it to begin with)
Yesod, Hod and Netzach all enter the scene, good to see the old crew return. P.S.: Reading? PM Fandom in shambles (or they would be if they could read)
1 in 118 ? i like those odds, still better than FGO ssr rates tip : you can right click the speed die to undo the move if you accidentally click on the wrong target/cards
Yo foreman, not sure if you’ll read but I think it’s important to know. If multiple librarians outspeed an enemy, the one you selected last is the one that clashes. Another thing to note for time is that you can press the spacebar instead of pressing the button up top.
Thinking on it, maybe the Invitation is a new Tool Abnormality with the way it works! 🤔 Would it be ZAYIN or TETH? And regarding the voice acting, I forgot just how well everyone's VA fits, especially Netzach! Roland trying to convince a tired Netzach to do his work is giving me flashbacks to all the group projects I've had to do in the past though, _ech..._ Lulu's cards are definitely good, they carried me through a lot of the early game! And certain floors, once they gain their Abnormality pages, are more suited to certain builds. (ie: Yesod and the Forsaken Murderer pages boosting Blunt damage.) While it's a good idea to take these into account, there's not *too* much of a rush to deckbuild around the Abnormalities until later in the game.
I haven't seen the video past the point you've reactivated the voices... BUT I hope you've re-watched the scenes of the begining (at least on your own accord) for the viewtiful voice acting you missed :b

1:21:05 ah yeah, shadow boxing Hod, that's my jam 😂
11:50 under "Begin Stageplay" there's number of floors available (how many floors you can use in this reception), some only give one and you wont be able to use more than one floor
1:51:15 be aware of the places diaogues take place (in up right corner), they might hint towards future interactions
1:53:21 i believe it's stepAnich
1:54:49 core supression?
I love her so much 🥺
Very good voice acting. The game letting you use the sephariah is really cool for sure and the game definitely allows for a lot of experimentation.
I answer the invitstion's notification call.
"These could be the protagonists of their own game, and they're about to fucking die"
oh boi, i cant wait till you meet some of the later characters...
I guess that if they are raw not cooked
Shy Look really is a sweary boy... girl... thing...
Always love seeing reactions to that one text of their's during the suppression. Sadly most people miss it.
Im really enjoying this!! I feel like I'm learning whilst watching, don't get me wrong it's not like I'm gonna watch this and not play it myself. I am so psyched to do my own run of this game at a later date! But to the uninitiated, this really does help and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes! In the immortal words of the bridges, keep on keeping on!
But the way you can change the page you’ve selected by right clicking on the dice, you won’t lose the page or anything, this is especially useful later on so it’s good to learn now
Commenting to support, but I'm saving watching this for tomorrow when I'm at work.
I read the subtitles with foreman voice in my head
Same, I can't get it off now
To note, you are allowed to swap the card you intend to play.
He’s not checking comments due to spoilers. If you wanna help, best bet is the discord.
@@friendist9323 I am aware
General invitations are pretty important, they give some pretty good cards and many of them are key archetype pieces.
I personally recommend you to use the wiki to make sure that you dont miss any, its pretty easy to miss some of them and there isnt really nothing in the game to guide with what books you need for each one
All that is needed is for me to just once mishear a phrase as "weak to piss" to never be able to take the word pierce seriously ever again
Ruina just as I get off work, today is a good day
5:18 yeah, thsts Ruina in a nutshell really.
Normally a stupidly huge sword would be a gift from the father.
You can replay any battle to farm the key pages btw, if not, there's a mod that gives you infinite pages so you dont have to farm them.
Good luck.
“The desperation when they see the roulette spins”
Roland come to the Library in the search of the legendary ham ham pam pam sandwich
You can move the camera using the mid mouse button and scroll for zoom in or out
Ah yes the 1-12 rolling a one the feels
Also look of the day is my favorite abno pages. Its just a + 2 power for every dice as long as you can be patient and wait for the angry face
a note about block, it reduces damage taken even on clash loss, so if you dont think you can win against a strong card from an enemy it can be good to just try to mitigate some of the damage.
Damn... Bob was so close...
1:00:13 oh, can we reserve spots for our nuggets if we get picked early? or was this just for putting in mini foreman, lemon, and yui?
Sadly it was just for me, Lemon and Yui (and those two were booked months in advance)
IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK
21:52 thank you!
5:18 Every guest in this game lmao
Did you read the abnormalities the abnormalities gimmicks? Forsaken Murder loses 4 dice power when under status effect, so his big attack is severely weakened. Good luck fighting the Alpeh Abnormalities without reading.
Now that you've finished cannard and got into urban myth will you do the book reading of cannard books video?
Haven't started doing it yet but I plan to do it at some point
aw man Bob almost made it haha. I liked him in lob corp
you might start to realize why LobCorp so desperate to change the world now huh?
It's already sounds miserable as hell back in LobCorp. Strangely enough Angela knew about the world to tell the name of almost all aspect of The City and the outside in the true ending.
In LoR: Syndicate? What's that about
@@loading0901 because she was reading from a script. Everything down to calling Benjamin a rat was in the script.
"Do you think this is scripted or not" line (Not like memory wiping Benjamin being a possible solution instead of outright killing him anyway)
Also why would the true ending Angela would be scripted anyway when the script conclude after the Seed of Light scenario, the whole reason why she is able to take The Light for herself to begin with?
Following is LoR spoiler of the series:
Also, do you think I don't take issues of in LoR retcon "the script" to be a literal paper written by Ayin for Angela to recite instead of figuratively?
Oh boy here we go
1 in 118 ? i like those odds, still better than FGO ssr rates
tip : you can right click the speed die to undo the move if you accidentally click on the wrong target/cards
1:37:12 I never knew shy look sweared so hard lol
They angwy 030
Yo foreman, not sure if you’ll read but I think it’s important to know.
If multiple librarians outspeed an enemy, the one you selected last is the one that clashes.
Another thing to note for time is that you can press the spacebar instead of pressing the button up top.
Unfortunately there are episodes already recorded where I still don't know that but I'll keep it mind for the future, thanks!
Ahhhh why did they have the make the really hot one a cannibal. Granted some might be into that.
Thinking on it, maybe the Invitation is a new Tool Abnormality with the way it works! 🤔 Would it be ZAYIN or TETH?
And regarding the voice acting, I forgot just how well everyone's VA fits, especially Netzach! Roland trying to convince a tired Netzach to do his work is giving me flashbacks to all the group projects I've had to do in the past though, _ech..._
Lulu's cards are definitely good, they carried me through a lot of the early game! And certain floors, once they gain their Abnormality pages, are more suited to certain builds. (ie: Yesod and the Forsaken Murderer pages boosting Blunt damage.) While it's a good idea to take these into account, there's not *too* much of a rush to deckbuild around the Abnormalities until later in the game.
muting any of the game's sound tabs makes them get set to 20 visually when you reload the game, they still dont play the sounds, but they do go to 20
That's LobCorp for you.
Oh wait, it's the sequel.
Still applies from time to time.
Reminder to read Wonderlabs :)
I love the VA but I do watch these at work so if you could do a quick skim of what is said in English after it would be appreciated ^^
Lets GOOOO! 🎉
Nice
in a reception you can use the 1 2 and 3 keys to toggle enemy targeting visibility, ally targeting visibility, and clash visibility respectively
Unfortunately I didn't read this in time for part 3 but I will apply it in the future, thanks!
@@ForemanPlaysStuff pog! Glad to offer any gameplay tips i can, ruina is a bit opaque about its ui and features
The title gives me fetus PTSD
Book time 👍
joder q buen VA tienen los personakes

I haven't seen the video past the point you've reactivated the voices... BUT I hope you've re-watched the scenes of the begining (at least on your own accord) for the viewtiful voice acting you missed :b
ah dang whats the song here called? dont recall listening to it when i heard the complete ost
What time does it play?
I know this is a year out but please someone tell me he goes back to reading the text? This series is one I plan to watch as I am working and I am going to miss the whole story...I can't read what's happened and I don't understand the language. As cool as it sounds it sadly takes away from the experience.
Sadly the rest of it is the same as this one, general opinion at the time was overwhelmingly in favour of letting the VAs do the reading.
(People did like my Lenny voice though)
@ForemanPlaysStuff suggestion if there ever happens to be another game like this with VA's in a different language. Let the VA on but quickly read the text after for those of us who don't understand the language can still listen to the story. I love your series and loved watching you play Lobotomy corporation! Sadly I will need to find someone who reads the text outloud since I work while watching these and cannot constantly read the text for myself and don't wanna miss the whole story. I'll still have to watch your playthrough at some point though. 💙
It may be too late to implement that idea for Limbus but I'll keep it in mind for the future, hope you find a good one!
@@ForemanPlaysStuff oh for sure LOL Just a suggestion for future stuff if it ever happens to come up again.
Thanks for answering though! xD I do appreciate it

But you used the term "proc" correctly? lol
Also, you probably already recorded the next part, but during stageplays there are three VERY useful buttons in the top right.
"Proc" as a term actually means something else, but we all use it to mean that we've caused something to occur
But it actually means something else, it's a very lengthy definition...
Just finished binging your lobotomy corporation series, loved it and your commentary, however putting the VA on for this one has killed this series for me, as I’m dyslexic so can’t read the text fast enough and I don’t speak Japanese, I completely get the decision and even though it’s hurt my experience I’m glad it’s improved the experience of others, I’m genuinely sorry I can’t watch this series and give you the much deserved views
