Ever hang a little swim bait off the back hook of a popper with a 2' leader? That's an old saltwater trick. The popper calls up the fish and they often eat the swim bait or fly. Some people use a popping cork, a bobber, with a jig or swim bait trailing under it and the fish hit the bobber sometimes. So a popper lure with a light bait hanging under it is the best way to do it. I don't think I've ever seen bass guys do it but when fish are schooling and chasing bait it should work.

The pop n' fly is deadly. I like to tie a small z man floating bait on a light wire hook on 20 lb braid leader off the back of the popper for this technique.
Always interesting to see whether they want to eat the fly or the popper!

@@collector_effectors I figured it should work for bass. That's a classic way to fish for saltwater trout, redfish, snook and other stuff on the Gulf Coast and around FL. I use a pretty loud popper in the saltwater but it's probably better to use a smaller one for bass.

The old rebel super pop r will catch em as good as any super high dollar popper 💯. Seems we just did a popper video like a week ago.. I love poppers tho so all good
