Chatterbaits seem like they'd be awesome in the saltwater, and some people have luck with them. So far I caught a redfish with one, but I haven't tried them a whole lot. I got a couple dye pens for soft plastics to try your tips on saltwater fish. I'll definitely be playing with them in the spring.

I wacky rig trick worms at least as often as I do stick baits maybe more.

Great tip! I have also used it as a chatterbait trailer, cut to size, to match the chatterbait.

Ya but these A's are bed fishing with FF witch is more damaging to fish population. The deeper beds were some what protected especially on windy days. Not any more.

For us here in the Ozarks, what conditions does this out produce a Rockcrawler/wart? Or is this better for shallower dirtier fisheries?

Randy it would be a lot of fun to take you out fishin in the saltwater. It would be fascinating to me to see how your bass skills work, and I bet you'd be a flounder slayer.

Salt Strong has a color for their soft plastics called "optimus lime" and their "tweaker" baits should be good for bass. They have some paddletails in that color too. But theirs is 2 tone with a white belly. They look pretty awesome. I caught trout and redfish with them last fall when they came out.

Great tip. I’ve used several bright colors of the Trick worm but not that one. Got to try it. You’re right. Never see anyone throwing that color.

There are no rocky banks or main lake secondary points in the lake I fish. North east Texas - deepest water is 10 feet. Tannic water with visibility of 1 - 2 feet. Sandy bottom. Overrun with grass in the summer. Lots of lakes like this in this area. Can you address this?

A lot of us can tell you from our experience- fishing up wind and down.. there are times when you fish down wind- turn around, fish upwind, and start catching- has happened many times.. no such thing as "always" or" never" in fishing....

That orange chatter I liked Jan-March seemed like had luck in dirtier water. But maybe it’s just bc I held it and threw it 5/6 hours a day That was a few years ago I don’t seem to catch them on it as good now. So many people use them now that could be it. Not sure

Hey Randy when I was younger I lived in Massachusetts that's when I caught the big bass when it was dark and cloudy gloomy days. Because most of the lakes were crystal clear water. Good video bud God bless.

I live on a three-spring fed 8-acre lake with the deepest running 22 feet, here in Northern Florida. Year round 72 degrees water output from the springs. You cannot not catch Largemouth Bass. The lake is also full of Crappies, and they are tough to catch. All the Bass everyone who fishes the lake caught are released unharmed back into the lake.

The gravel dog isn’t bad either.

Ive found this time of year on main lake Long Flat Red Clay points and gravel points. Work great at holding schools in mornings and evenings. I fish Tablerock mostly.
