ELVIS PRESLEY's Lethal Diet Uncovered
Elvis stayed up most of the night of August 15, 1977, because he was restless. Elvis went to the dentist between midnight, and 6:00 am to avoid the paparazzi. He then returned home to Graceland, played racquetball with friends and discussed marriage plans with his twenty-year-old Fiance Giner Alden. Around sunrise, Ginger went to bed, and Elvis was unable to sleep, so he ate one of his early morning snacks, which consisted of four scoops of ice cream and six chocolate chip cookies. After he ate, he went to bed; he got up a few hours later to go to the bathroom, where he suffered a heart attack on the toilet.
Elvis died from a heart attack at the age of 42, and people believe it was his drug habit combined with his high fat and calorie diet. Elvis tried to diet and lose weight on several occasions and took sedatives to sleep more and eat less, adhering to the sleeping beauty diet. In the 70s, a doctor put Elvis into a medically induced coma for weight loss. By the time of his death, Elvis was consuming 100 000 calories per day.
His Favorite Foods:
Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich
Now, this might seem like a quick snack that has the potential to be super healthy and equally as filling. Bananas are packed with potassium, for example, and peanut butter is chockfull of protein and fibre. Everyone knew Elvis loved the classic peanut butter and banana sandwich combo.
He wouldn't stop at just peanut butter and banana, though. Sometimes the King would throw a couple of slices of Bacon on there, as well. Then the entire thing would be fried in a pan coated with either butter or bacon fat. It was salty and sweet enough to make your heart stop.
Fool's Gold Loaf
Elvis was obsessed with Peanut Butter and Jelly. He took PBJs to an entirely different level. When it came to his specialized version of the childhood classic, no distance was too far to travel to get it. And we don't just mean, he'd go down to the kitchen and whip up a bite. He once flew his private jet from Graceland in Tennessee to Colorado to order the sandwich because it was just that good.
Party Meatballs
Elvis loved mini meatballs wrapped in Bacon, and he liked the Bacon crisp.
Fried Breakfasts
Elvis loved a massive fried breakfast consisting of Bacon, eggs, french toast and hash browns, half-baked rolls and sausage.
Hot Dogs with Sauerkraut
Elvis loved his hot dogs with Sauerkraut and got his private chef to sneak him some into the hospital. His chef snuck the food into the hospital by disguising them as clothing.
Soda
Elvis kept his fridge stocked with soda at all times, and he loved Pepsi, Nesbitt's Orange and Shasta Black Cherry.
Burnt Bacon Sandwich
Elvis's favourite sandwiches were burnt Bacon crumbled on top of the mayonnaise, canned black olives and chopped pecans.
BBQ Bologna
Elvis loved bologna and BBQ sauce, consisting of an entire pack of bologna with vinegar, lemon juice, red pepper and salt while cooking in the oven for an hour. After the first hour, Elvis would cover a slab with BBq sauce and cook it for another half hour.
Cheeseburgers
One of the last things Elvis chef Mary Jenkins Langston cooked for Elvis was a cheeseburger. He completely lost his appetite in the days before his death.
Coconut Cake
His mother's version of coconut cake held a special place in his heart.
Elvis would eat the dessert every night. The cake was packed with sugar, milk, and eggs. He always had shredded coconut in his pantry.

I honestly think (especially due to struggling with it for years several years ago) that Elvis had an undiagnosed binge eating disorder. So often he would stuff himself sick, then go on crash diets to lose some weight, only to rinse and repeat. Plus is addiction to drugs was shuddering.
Yes, he clearly had a food addiction.
Sad that many people went undiagnosed back then.

Well... It caught up with him. He was morbidly obese in the later years of his life. And it doesn't take much to be within that range.
He was only quiet slim considering what he used to eat per day he had a massive appetite for food it was only one of the few things he got enjoyment out of at the end of his life Elvis was only slim because he still consumed dexanphetimine rite to the very last day he was alive if hedidnt take that drug he would have been humongous just before he died I found that out many many years ago he took that drug to the very end of his life he started taking it in 1958

This is an interesting video, but I would like to add that it is physically impossible to eat 100,000 calories in a day. That’s way more food than even the best competitive eaters can handle. I’m guessing the real number was more like 10,000, which is still insane!

@@aena5995 yes they can bind u and destroy your intestines your liver and kidneys and make you gain weight...when our liver and kidneys dont function properly you can blow up...if you can ...try to cut back on the pain meds by using advil and start taking 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2 times a day to heal up ...just do it ...you'll thank me in a month because you'll feel great

I remember the day Elvis died. I was 4 years old. My dad was in the kitchen leaning on the counter with his hand on his aching back (he had a back injury) and looking very, very sad. He said “Well, Susie, the king is dead.” I remember the first thought that ran through my head was, WAIT...we don’t have a king...we have a president! He had to explain to me what he meant. My dad was a big Elvis fan.

His story is a sad one, he was surrounded by a bubble of people pleasers once he was famous. It helped him and it absolutely destroyed him. Only a person with a truly broken heart, would eat this way. How sad.

Elvis is my favorite entertainer of all time. Yes, he loved to eat and returned to the way he ate as a young man towards the end of his life. He was addicted to prescription drugs unfortunately. He was the most generous celebrity giving so much to charity and strangers, so many stories about his generosity; maybe you can do a video on that topic too. He absolutely adored his fans, would do anything for them. He was a special person, a true gift to humanity. RIP E!

I watched a British series called Autopsy, exploring celebrity deaths and their last few days. Apparently the deep fried sandwiches Elvis enjoyed came from his childhood in the south. A lot of the foods he grew up eating weren't particularly healthy! It was reported in this episode that the autopsy discovered that Elvis had an enlarged liver, probably because of his drug use. It wasn't due to alcohol - Elvis was said to be teetotal, due to alcoholism running in his family and he didn't like to see people who were intoxicated.
I had an enlarged liver from being overweight so I lost 60 pounds and my doc checked my liver again it was normal I don't do drugs
Dont take those shows too literally. Stress and trauma is what killed Elvis. This triggered substance abuse including hard core drugs, alcohol, nicotine, sleeping pills, and food. He couldn't even sleep at night claiming that he was being haunted by a spirit. He abused women and people so this in turn gave him guilt, paranoia, and anxiety hence worsening his dependency on drugs.
Elvis could drink his cousin Billy under the table.
You can have Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) without being an alcoholic. It's caused by unhealthy eating habits.
One correction, On Elvis’s last evening alive he played two songs for his friends. Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain and Unchained Melody. Neither are “gospel songs” as you stated in your video.

He seemed to live his life like he was still poor, like he would never again deny himself anything because being poor means feeling helpless,hopeless and fearful. At least that’s how I felt growing up poor.

my grandpa developed a habit from his childhood when food was scarcer, i would see him eat with such hurry that he would occasionally cough alot because of how fast he was going or put alot on his plate almost as if somebody was gonna take it away from him resulting in over eating, my grandma and i tried to remind him every once in awhile to take it slowly nobodys gonna take it away from you

I think he did this to feel something. He ate all that food because he felt alone. I heard a guy who used to work for Elvis at Palm Springs, California struggled with some sin issues. The story goes how Elvis asked his personal driver to drop him off sometimes in the forests and Elvis cried out to God or Jesus Christ and even sang some songs to God to feel something. Everyone does know Elvis did use to sing for Jesus Christ because he used to sing for the church choir. Call him crazy but the world failed Elvis to bring him peace and perhaps give him solitude which left him feel alone in this world.
Elvis is with Our Lord now. He said that the light people saw in him as a performer was just them seeing the light of God moving thru him as a vessel..

@@GrosvnerMcaffrey I get that, but there were so many beloved musicians that died at a very early age, and yet never got the same traction surrounding their deaths as Elvis did. The conspiracy around Elvis’s passing never made any sense to me.
I remember the shows that came on in the late 80s-early 90s that would reinact sightings of Elvis after his death. It was quite ridiculous-- there was one where he was at a diner and got scared of a camera flash and ran.
He had a congenital heart condition that ran on his mother's side and that has been well-documented. They did a genome profile on him and showed he would have had a heart attack even if he wasn't overweight and eating unhealthy. He also had a propensity towards glaucoma (which he had), migraines and joint issues (he had them too). So it wasn't all his diet and prescription drugs, but it precipitated his heart attack.
His mother, and five of her siblings died in their 40s.
migraines most likely caused by his sugar consumption. his glucose levels were probably sky high 24/7.
There’s a documentary “WHo killed Elvis”. He was taking mega doses of dangerous prescription drugs and his addiction to barbituants eventually stopped his brain & heart. He also had colon and other health issues. Very tragic. Priscilla and his inner circle tried to get him to go to rehab but he didn’t think the drugs were a problem since they were prescribed by a doctor. Now we know more and how dangerous they are.

Dental work without antibiotics can kill if the person has a heart defect. Any bacteria can go straight to the heart for those people and cause heart infection, heart failure or heart attack.

That's right I was a caregiver to a man with a heart condition and he had to take preventative antibiotics every time he got some done at the dentist.

Elvis was born and raised a Southern boy so his diet wasn't unusual. Gladys used to bake Elvis a cocunut cakes almost everyday. Another of his favorites was meatloaf, mashed potatoes with brown gravy on them with crowder peas and sliced tomatoes. He liked brown beans with potatoes, tomatoes and cornbread. Elvis loved breakfast and had to have his bacon, eggs and tomatoes. She said he always liked orange juice and coffee with breakfast. Nancy Rook said that he ate tomatoes with almost everything. He liked butter on his cheeseburgers. Sometimes Elvis liked bacon 🥓 on his peanut butter sandwich. Nancy Rook said that Elvis didn't eat a lot of bread his last couple of years. She said that he started eating crackers. He liked Pepsi and Shasta everyday.
PB + banana sandwich is one of my favorite things to eat, but I usually make a healthier version that isn't grilled in butter with bacon. I did make the real-deal Elvis version once and it was probably one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted.

They are exaggerating, he never ate all those calories. his maid and friends said he rarely ate peanut butter and banana sandwiches. His daughter and girlfriend said they never saw him eat it. These are internet rumors.

I tried the peanut butter and bacon sandwich years ago because it was published in a magazine. It was surprisingly good but way too rich for me. I was wondering at the time how he could stand it.
It’s easy to get used to eating those rich foods. I used to be addicted to fatty stuff. Now I can only eat very small amounts of it.

My father abandoned us and we lived on peanut butter and crackers for four months. I was 14, and gained 30 lb, and still don't know how since we were basically starving. Some people have good metabolisms I guess. Elvis was so beautiful inside and out, and so very talented.

What's so interesting to me is the fact my mother admitted to eating the peanut butter and banana sandwich the majority of the time she was pregnant with me. (Of course she ate other healthier things) but over all she said her pregnancy cravings lead her to eating this infamous sandwich. And second thing she got me into liking the fried pickles as an appetizer. There is a restaurant here where I live where they sell it as an appetizer and I was with my mom and sister and that was the 1st time I tried it. I easily became addicted, but that was the only time I e had it. The restaurant is constantly booked it's hard to get a reservation there. And my schedule doesn't allow me to really get in the kitchen much to make my own. But one of these days I will go and eat medium sized bowl once again. 🥰🤘🏾♥️💯🎊👍🏾
It wasnt so much his eating habit...Over years taking many prescription pills messed up body mechanism. It ruined his metabolism, then he took diet pills to lose weights like a vicious cycle. He firmly believed in pharmacy solution for daily routine, upper/downer/diet/stage stimulation/etc.

He died of a heart attack cuz of taking barbiturates. He was heavily into drugs it was very sad. I was thirteen in 1977 and remember when he passed.
I was born and raised in Mississippi, same state as Elvis, and I’m very familiar with most of those foods. Most are a common staple food here but they will pack on the pounds very quickly if that’s all you eat. That’s one reason why Mississippi is the fattest state in the USA.
