My bachelor degree is not of CS / Informatics but some kind of Earth Science related Engineering. I'm planning to get to CS post graduate program at NUS. Try my best to learn some basic CS subjects like DSA, OOP, source control, etc. I hope I'm on the right path.

I’ve been watching nus business school students, they party all the time, this guy has a boring life, then I realized I am comp sci student and It’s 1 am, just finished studying, I have a web programming class at 8 am. Fml
I’m not fully aware of what the degree is like for software engineering, but taking a look at the modules they seem very similar to a CS degree with a software engineering specialization. It’s probably almost the same content with slightly less rigor since it’s a part time degree. If you’re not sure whether the degree is right for you or you simply want a small headstart I would highly recommend taking CS50 by Harvard online. It’s completely free and gives you a taste of what CS / software engineering is like.
B-tech SWE is more industry oriented and not so much theory compared to traditional Comp Sci especially since it is offered by NUS ISS. Even if modules might be similar, teaching style is different since ISS is very industry oriented
@@desireetan147 Hi! Ive made a lot of posts on reddit asking and what ive learnt is: 1. It depends on the course you are applying for 2. It depends if you are applying locally or as an overseas applicant (apparently for local, people have gotten into law with 38/39 which lower than expected. However, as an overseas applicant, ppl said you need 40+ regardless of which course to have a decent chance)
@@95kths77 hi omgg thank you so much for the info!! I’m actually Singaporean but I’ve never studied locally here before so would I be considered a local or international applicant? Sorry if it’s a stupid question hahaha 😅

I can relate your life! Fighting for the OOP and discrete math hahaha
How bad is discrete math?
@dark seid well actually discrete math is not bad, but you need to think beyond the box and an extra logical reasoning to solve it. goodluck!
I suck at math so I can't major in cs right?
@elric sedric you still can apply for cs! math is not the only one aspect in cs, dont worry:)
Decent video, more exposure in shower scene would be good. Overall 8/10
I agree, maybe a next video idea?
