It's so ridiculous how much better this show is compared to any other MTG "playing" show. The angles are the best. The sardonic to endearing commentary is the best. Love this idea. He can keep them at the same power level, so no one has a crazy advantage. Also, would love if they just get the decks blind the day of.
@@David_Stevens the only reason I wouldn’t like blind is that it might lengthen gameplay while they’re trying to figure out how the decks play out and what cards are in
@@saiconjr Fun game play will trump time no matter what. When one player has a insane power level compared to the table, the entire video is just over for most people.

@@markbrierley6367 you are absolutely correct. I missed that part. I was watching this at work while on my lunch so I didn't have full attention to the episode lol 😆

Hey guys. I have a mid-range power deck, no infinites, a unique commander that hasnt been played on this show in 20 seasons, i’d love to see my deck featured in an end-of-season like this. How do i get in touch with the guys to submit my deck.
ive been looking for gameplay with riku of two reflections because i have been thinking of building a a spellslinger/clone deck around him. by chance has the crew ever used him in an episode before?
Spoiler When i saw the lineup I was sure that Torsten was gonna win. The deck is so hard to disrupt because if you build it correctly you will always get 5-7 cards from the ETB thus you can run 25 ramp-creatures and not play any draw at all. It is so resilient!
What a great Season. If Jeremy has a Second bounce land. He could a drawn the entire deck and maybe found trample and would deserve another point for draw his deck.
I love how much crap jon got in this video. I was thinking the last game they'll catch it.. all the way to the end but as always love the content. I think you all should take some notes from Corey and go full on degenerate deck builds.
Jeremy seems to have a propensity for screwing over Corey and it really showed this game. He basically had a king maker situation and chose to screw over Corey instead of trying to get Stephen down a bit. Basically let Stephen win the season sadly. Oh well, on to the next Season!
But math shows if Jon doesn't die first, Stephen and Jeremy can't win the season. If you look at the points at the end, Stephen and Jeremy have to kill jon first and then Corey, otherwise the points end with one of the either jon or corey winning for sure. So the one point lead IS actually a good reason to go after him.
I have a question. If a fan was gonna make a deck list, would you guys play that deck in a show? I mean I have a few brain child decks and I would love to see what someone with the bigger brain for this stuff would know what to add
I have a neat idea you guys could put the amount of points you have gained or losed from the episode above your life total just a recommendation though
I missed the Qasali at the end. I had tunnel vision on using the Eternal Witness in my hand to get back Silverback Elder and casting another creature to kill it, but then I kept drawing good stuff and didn't have mana for it.
It doesnt look fun to play with corey. Every game his turns take 10 mins of playing 100 cards in a mostly for fun format. I get that every one can play how ever he likes but it just doesnt look fun to have to tryhard every game
This was a very fun episode. Stephen stumbling and Corey solotairing on that one turn were the only gameplay downsides, but they were minor. Congrats on the season win Stephen! Who's this music for at this point? Nearly all the feedback in the comments has been negative. Cursed Mirror doesn't have it's mana ability if you make it a clone when it enters the battlefield. Even if it did it would have summoning sickness.
It's funny how more closely they're reading the cards because of what happened with Feldon last week. Edit: I wrongly confused Lae'zel's effect to function the same way as Doubling Season, but it doesn't restrict adding counters to only effects. Jon understood the interaction with Lae'zel correctly.
Actually this is both right and wrong. The commander does not say the word "effect" on it while doubling season does. Doubling season is very uniquely worded so that it doesn't work with pluses, but cards like Jon's commander and the khaldehiem vorinclex DO work with pluses. So they did play that correctly. It's very weird in the switching of wording on wizards part and I wish they would find some amount of consistency.
Fun fact. I found out my konrad deck with the God draws can infect the whole table out turn 5. Has nothing to do with this episode, I'm just telling everyone

100% this. No hate to other creators, but this is the only group I can watch besides CGBs new group.

I don't think cursed mirror stays a mana rock on the turn it enters if you have it come in as a copy of a creature. But I could be wrong.
You're correct, while cursed mirror is copying a creature, it loses the mana ability unless the creature has one obviously
The cursed mirror says he may have it enter as a creature, he didn't have it copy a creature. It is a mana rock at that point.

That's not how that works. You have to finish the ability before resolving new abilities.
Is there a link somewhere to a page that plays out their point system? I've been trying to figure it out for a hot minute 😅
There isn't, but if you look back to a Justin Parnell season they usually post a screen at the top of the episode.
How/where do I submit fan deck lists?
Message the director or one of the players on the socials
I really miss the old Halloween special event you guys would do playing against the Zombie Horde deck, wish that would make a special appearance

How do you submit a fan request?
How do I put a deck request in? Social media, email, I don't know what to do.

Why him?
@SCG Commander I'm not sure if it's 30 or 40 seconds, but Stephen searched his deck for more than 30 seconds twice FYI :)
How does one turn in a fan requested deck?

Smoke signal
