Honestly, I don’t understand a lot of this mod stuff, I’m not familiar enough with LEGO piece types, the ways to build things or the original sets, but I love seeing how you’ve been able to customize these sets to make them more like you wanted.
watching these really captures the fun of lego for me. having followed several review channels that discuss the sets as they're instructed to be built often makes me forget that the fun of the brand is the fact that more often, we don't keep them the same as how the instructions tell us to build them.
True , we should have gotten more Mammoth minifigures. Apparently there was supposed to be a Mammoth battle pack for the 2015 Chima wave , according to a video made by Just2good but it got cancelled sadly.
Wow I never knew that the Mammoths were robbed they deserve that battle pack

I’m so glad you’re making these. Chima is one of my favorite themes as well. Like, I was OBSESSED with it a few years ago.

@@legobioniclemocmaker4553 Great question. My favorite set is probably the King Crominus Rescue (especially after I modded it a bit), and my favorite wave is the very first one - winter 2013. I think it was a great kickoff for the series.

These mods absolutely have inspired me. I used to be very intimidated by system Mocs, but I’ve decided to start with mods and learn from there!
You make pieces that you use for something for smoothing into a really good mix of texture and detail
I can’t believe I hadn’t realized this until now, but this thing is like an AT-AT, with that having been inspired by elephants!

It's been awhile since I've modified a Lego set, so I can definitely say that your videos lately have inspired me to look into ones I enjoy and beef them up, or ones I didn't enjoy as much and improve them. Most of the time I work from scratch but that takes three times as long to get a concept and make it sturdy. Even though this one is a light modification, it does feel necessary, and there are some cool building techniques in here like the underbelly. Thank you for sharing
While I eventually came around to Ninjago, Chima was one theme I never got into before it was retired. I always loved how this set looked though, and now I regret not picking some of them up back then.

I always pictured the Ice Stompers as the Chima version of Star Wars ATATs. Big and intimidating to strike fear in the enemy.
Nice Mod. The Ice Mammoth Stomper is the only Mammoth set i dont have, but the upgrades that were made make it look better. Suck that there were only 3 Mammoths!

I haven’t touched my legos or bionicles in a decade but after watching your videos I’ve been pulling them back out and using them again I forgot how fun it was I’m sad I missed out on all the Chima stuff lol

The mammoths are a great theme
I made mine a bit taller and gave it opening closing wall-doors on both sides that completely cover the inside between the rib cage.
I’m really enjoying this series
not to sound demanding, but I think it would be a cool thing if you made MOCs of Planet Ripple stuff. But I completely understand why you wouldn't want to mix the two. And the stuff you have done in the past that I wasn't expecting has usually been most interesting. So you do you, because you know best.
It's moreso just the amount of pieces I'd have to buy and the amount of extra money and time it'd take to design anything substantial.

Nice video and mod. Chima was never my thing because it happened during my Lego dark ages. After 08 joint fiasco with bionicles I didnt follow or buy legos before 2013. That year I went full on to buying spree and bought most genwun bionicle sets from mata nui years.

I get that this is a slight mod, but I would love to see a full re-vamp of the set. Building it from scratch.
I mean.... I would do that if it just wasn't a good set, but the base set is pretty well designed. It just felt unfinished.

@@NickonPlanetRipple well for example, the main cannon could use some aesthetic modifications and the front of the vehicle feels a little lacking. With creativity and skill, who knows how cool the final product will look!

Why not put memots in the feets like as if they are frozen and kept in the case that it gets destroyed
Fun fact chima had 6 waves and not 5 meaning 3 year series and not 2 and a half year the last wave had sets 70225,70226,70227.
But... it had two for the first story, one wave for the bugs, then two for fire and ice.
I'm gonna dissapoint you my friend but no 2 waves for original 1hy2013,2hy2013 1 wave for bugs 1hy2014 3 waves for fire and ice 2hy2014,1hy2015,2hy2015 the last 3 sets that are in my last comment were featured in summer wave of 2015 not the winter wave 2015 and i also wanna tell you that in 2015 2 episodes of chima were only the ep. 40 & 41. In episode 40 & 41 included 2015 sets till episode 39 only 2014 sets. In the catalogs was made this way that in first catalog 2015 these sets werent and in summer catalog 2015 these 3 sets were new for summer wave. Brickset agrees with me. Great revamps by the way.

Yes first one in summer of 2014, second one in winter 2015 and the THIRD one in summer of 2015. The summer wave had 70225 bear mech (the brown one), 70226 mammoth ... castle? And 70227 cragger's helicopter summer wave had these 3 sets. In winter catalog of 2015 these sets weren't show and in summer catalog of 2015 these 3 sets were shown and there was written in white n red colors new for summer 2015. By the way brickset agrees with me on this one. With these 3 sets being part of summer wave so 2 waves for classic (2013), 1 wave for bugs (winter 2014), 3 waves of fire and ice (summer 2014,2015) 2+1+3=6 waves 2 waves =1 year 6 waves=3 years
Not my favorite one, but still great.
With the limitations the official builders have,they cant match mocs. I think lego should just try making the best platforms and expand the part collection and let mocers do the rest.

Can't you put a minifig in each foot? They could be their allies that haven't awakened yet and are still frozen in ice. They need to collect more chi to awake them, and carry them with them in the feet of the walker to deploy them as soon as more chi has been obtained.
There just wasn't enough space, with how huge the Mammoth's heads are.
