It's so nice to see Chima getting some attention years after its cancelation. The theme, especially, this season, was especially special to me as a kid. These MOCs are amazing Nick, I love making Mods myself, keep up the good work!
Agreed. Chima had so much potential, and after rewatching the first episode, I felt that another theme like this will never exist again. Chima was different: it was violent, cool, and in the end, tried to do what other themes didn't. Unfortunately, the story is very dark, so I don't really see LEGO trying to make another anthropomorphic animal theme like this. RIP, Chima. You are missed.
I really love your idea for the tribes representing their ecosystems but here me out on this one the atlantis merfolk can represent the ocean tribes and hell you can even add the snakes and cobras to the outlands since they'd fit into that whole Australian outlands theme, overall a great video cant wait to see more of these

If you're talking about NINJAGO serpets... Being honest, the aesthetics just don't work. NINJAGO characters have a different artstyle and aesthetic than CHIMA, and the fact that they're different themes doesn't help it either. Maybe I'm very biased because I hold grudges agaisnt NINJAGO

Love this coming form a Australian I did like most of the dark tribes but I wanted to make my own the magpie tribe a type of pirate see the large battle of Mount Vohra they attack to take over I use a lot from the 2016 ninjago sky pirates and mad the magpie with a raven head and body with white heads and or a wing

Now that you mentioned a Chima AU, god, I wish to see so much more of that! The ammount of ideas that can come from that is huge, I even got to write stories myself playing with the mysteries and whatever could happen in Chima. For real, anything Chima these years is welcome. It's finally getting the love it deserves, and that's awesome.

The thing I love so much about these mocs is that they feel like real Lego sets that you could see being sold on the shelves. Those are easily my favorite kinds of mocs

Wow! I LOVE the spiders ultra speedor/bike!
also these kind of vehicle are (kinda) canno! we know that the crawlers had difficulty operating their speedorz in the outlands (mostly due to their inexperience) but shadowind made a bike from 2 speedor wheels much like your bikes to traverse the outlands and to be faster.
I just love your chima mods so much so that it inspired me to make mods of my own for a special project keep up the good work

I know you wanted cohesion, have you thought about seeing if the brown exo force arms would look better using the new backpack piece? It would provide a good stand in for a daddy long legs spider? Just an idea I had off the top of my head. Love these mods!

Personally they are my favourite, can't decide between scorpions and spiders,
Also I just love giant brick build bugs galaxy squad is one of my favourite space themes because of the bugs
Uxar is my favourite construction figure
So I got to love the scorpion and spider trips it also make me sad there weren't any ultra builds
Like imagine a spider with long arms on there back and spindly arms and legs connected to a foot, using a ccbs shell to look like that's just the end of the leg twisted around. hands with articulated fingers able to be twisted into a spine
Easily able to thrown over and just look like a spider with out a thorax

To be fair, many of the dialects & accents for the British Isles and Australia have nuances that make it tough for us Americans to really pin down; also, your turn as Duncan for the George Carlin tribute in Sodor The Modern Years was a valiant effort
At first, I got back into Lego last year by wanting to build my own Lego mech. All of a sudden, I run into your MOC videos, and now I want to build my own small Lego army with machines and vehicles with cohesive colors! What also blows my mind about most of your MOCs is that most are color and part conversions of existing sets; meaning it's really easy to find instructions for how to build them online! This is really helpful for someone like me, who's wondering what to do with a bunch of spare parts from his old collection and has not much experience building with pre-made parts.
Also, what are your thoughts on the Lego 90 Years of Play set? I got it recently and I love the Bionicle figure even though I'm overwhelmed by its parts count, but I also remembered you did Lego Rewind videos on many different themes through its history.

This is SICK funny enough i had a simular thought of modding that Kai bike into a spider one a few months ago (the 2012 Version tough because i liked the bulk) but now where i see it here i do think this Bikes skeleton works much better than the older Version... I also have my eye on some of those Exo Force jungle sets. The Spider lair isnt a very good set, but there is a Elves Castle i think that works well (the black and green one) it even has a beauty salon for the Spider Queen.
I don't know if the sizes would be off, but maybe you could use the bar holder with clip piece to attach the spider legs. They might be shorter and stick out less.

Im not rly into the Lego scene but Ngl seeing those unicorn minifig heads weve gotten recently had been rly tempting me to try n make a chima unicorn tribe with all regal aesthetics and mlp lookin colors

could the Hydro Bounty from ninjago work as an Eagle heavy transport or heavy bomber? there's just something about it that just screams eagle to me.

I think you should mod the new same golden dragon jet because it has a play feature kind of like that bike that you used to turn it into the spider bike Or you can make it a object for bats and it's like pulling out their wings

My suggestion for shorter articulated spider legs: the piece that's just a bar connector and clip, instead of the robot arm. It gets the same movement, but is shorter and lacks the curve. Lego makes it in reddish brown and black for definite, idk about dark brown.
Edit: Part 11090, so that's clear.
That's what I tried first. It didn't help that much...

I personally thought to mod Coles Dirt Bike for the spiders instead of mammoths. I saw the front tread on my display during Online class and thought "You know, that reminds me of the spider tank with its back treads" and turned off my cam, threw an excuse in the chat, and then drew up a diagram. I ordered a second Dirt Bike, turned the front mounted guns into back legs, Did the same for the front, replaced the side flaps with more legs, Swapped colours, added a chi crystal, and then whipped up a driver. I call that spider Spungalo.

I have an idea for another way to do the spider legs: Use the same setup that uses that 4-clip minifig backpack, but replace the robot arms with the newer bar holder with a clip piece, as Bricklink calls it. Piece 11090, if we go by serial number. Could be used as a middle ground between the smaller setup with the 1x4 with studs on all sides but the bottom and the larger setup with the robot arms.
That was the first thing I tried.

I couldn't think of a way to make it work aesthetically.

It's a shame they didn't go for more fantascial animals like the phonixes later on, seeing combinations like centaurs or dangerous beats like hydras turned into China creatures.

I collect some Transformers, but mostly the 2000s ones. Energon, Cybertron, that kinda thing. I did get some Siege figures, but I've since sold most of them.

Not sure. The sabers already have a perfect vehicle that size, and the ice bears are a little all over the place.
