That "Raven Missfortune's Keep" that is behind the Storm Cruiser looks incredible, can't wait to see it !
Same!
Oh I've seen it and it's a beauty
@@MyBrickOpinions, are you coming back to make videos ?
I thiught i was the only one to see that it looked like an official chima set
Same!
Lego in the 1970s: We don't make fighting vehicle sets because we don't want kids playing war
Lego in the 2010s: *DESTROY EVERYTHING*
Indeed
Every chima mod I see from Nick makes me miss the theme more
True jibby
Same here!
...just saying, Nick, if you ever did anything with that Chima AU I would totally read/watch it. And the mod is something else - this thing is monstrous! All its trans-red parts making a statement of intent, especially the concentration of them on the blasters at the front. It is GOING to blast you. You are GETTING disintegrated. Psyclone's take on the thing didn't look very aquatic, but with a few crocodilian touches? Yeah, I can see this thing on the water. Equally deadly on land, sea and air, a true war machine. It doesn't matter where you go to hide or what terrain you try to use - the Storm Cruiser will hunt you down, and snuff out your life like a match in a gale.
Also I am biting my nails waiting for a spotlight on that Raven Misfortune's Keep. Can't wait for the next mod!
Man, it feels like you can mod pretty much any original-themed vehicle into a much more interesting Chima version. Keep it up! I am super excited for that Raven Misfortune's Keep!
I like how when it’s landed in flight mode it matches the low to the ground look of actual crocodiles
Lego chima car monster allgator
This thing has a serious Metal Gear vibe, I love it!
A weapon to surpass Mixel Gear.
Wow not only did he take a build with a singular similar element (yet quite an obvious one) and make it a croc vehicle but made a purpose for its existence
I would love a video or some other form of media to tell the story you're putting together. Though i think sprinkling it in within other chima mods would be more fun. Adding to the mystery and letting us viewers fill the gaps with our own imagination
Great mod and can't wait to see more!
Wow, didn't know that Atlantis mech sub was originally intended to be a power liner set!
Awesome MOD, as always
Honestly, this makes me really happy to see my favorite lego theme get some treatment, some more recognition. I've always felt like Chima just kinda fell to the side, and I'm always glad to see people appreciating it, and having fun with it.
This was a fun conversion, I always loved that Chima and notably the croc tribe brought so much olive green to the table. I need to MOC with it more. Thanks for sharing the comparison as well to the Ultra Agents counterpart!
i just still can't get over the fact that lego made a frickin metal gear. mod is quality work as always.
Fitting from a guy whose username is "The Fuzzy Ocelot".
Also, since is is a LEGO theme, it's technically a *Mixel* Gear.
Petition to call Rawzom's Keep "The Nevermore?"
This is so cool. I never realized how easily it could be modified into a Croc vehicle. Your AU sounds awesome!
Honestly hope to see a video covering this Chima au, I always loved to aesthetic of the universe and it's tribes
*Don't think I didn't notice the Vine thud SFX when the Storm Cruiser landed.*
Wait, I'm not the only one who rewrote the Chima storyline to have Lagravis end up being the final boss that needs to be taken down by Cragger and Laval?
Completely serious here. I ended up getting the Lion Chi Temple at a toy reseller, sealed, and the moment I saw Lagravis' minifigure I immediately began to imagine how the war would play out. The Lions, high and mighty, see the Crocs wanting more power as 'upsetting the balance' and moralize to them. Cragger, the childhood friend of Laval, sees his tribe suffering from lack of Chi and tries to negotiate, but Lagravis refuses on the justification that "We Lions know best." The opening strike sees the Lions take out the Croc King and Queen, leaving only a broken hearted and deseprate Cragger to take command and lead the charge. Later, Lagravis reveals the Lions have used Eagle technology to build a massive weapon using Golden Chi that would reduce the Crocs to nothing. And as Cragger attempts to break in to stop it, Lagravis orders his execution to swiftly end the war. Only for Laval, his friend, to leap forward and save Cragger, defecting to protect his friend that his people so coldly have thrown aside. Laval, Eris, Cragger, Gorzan, Razar and Worriz band together to form a Toa team-esque alliance to put an end to the war and show that each tribe deserves to share their power and technology. Ending in Laval and Cragger being all that's left and having one last Chi-fueled fight with Lagravis, proving their friendship can overcome their cultural barriers and unify.
That diatribe aside, I had the exact same thought when I first saw that set. I wasn't into Chima at the time, but I did think the olive green was odd. It's so cool to see it realized, I might buy a second copy myself and go for a similar concept!
No joke, the lions are fascist as hell.
"-And why, 'cause... 'cause we're better than everyone else?"
"We are their betters, my son. It is your birthright as a lion, our responsibility as lions to watch over the other tribes. Without our guidance, they'd've destroyed this world long ago with their insatiable lust for chi. You have failed to protect them from themselves!"
"Well, I don't accept that birthright, dad!"
"Then you doom all of Chima! My poor, foolish son. You still have so much growing up to do!"
@@NickonPlanetRipple I think Chima somewhat gimped itself with aiming its story towards a younger audience. The setting of Chima gives you so much to play around in the idea of birthright and responsibilities, what it means to lead and what it means to follow. I wish the show had been willing to tackle more mature subject matters.
While somewhat more dark, I always imagined that moment being at Cragger's execution. One massive way to demonstrate their superiority. And Laval steps in at the last moment to save his friend and basically kickstart the story into a brand new direction. Letting Laval see firsthand what the Lion's 'burden' has brought onto his friend's people, what he war has been doing to them. So much potential was there... but the show was aimed towards kids and that was far too dramatic.
@@yhyh8990 Dude... we just made some headcanon stuff for fun and you're basically going "No, don't do that."
@@yhyh8990 Look, we're having fun with the premise. Lego may not want to touch the repercussions of one animal tribe being anointed by the animal Gods to decide who gets chi and how much, but that's a situation ASKING for conflict. Like, REAL conflict, not just "brainwashing plant" fake conflict. Other tribes being reasonably jealous, some lions taking advantage of this position to further lord it over other species, that's juicy shit. I'm not asking for GoT, just something more on the level of Bionicle (also made for kids).
That's so cool. I'm using the diversity of Ninjago to recreate some of the sets that I wanted as a kid but never got or sets that I've lost to time.
this is a very natural fit, it always felt croc adjacent in its original context
Well done! Also great timing for me! I was too broke to afford any Chima sets when they came out. I just bought a lot from Ebay and am building them for the very first time!
Wait a sec, did I just see the Misfortune's Keep modded for the ravens?
I'm a simple man, Nick posts new mod video, I hit like button
This was the mod i waited for the most. The second i saw in the past videos i fell in love with the idea. Even inspired me to convert some of my sets into other themes too
From Ultra Agent's TV Tropes page:
- "The graphic and model designers of the Hurricane Heist set are fans of Metal Gear and it shows. Not only does Pysclone's Humongous Mecha resemble the Metal Gear mechs, but the HUD on the windshield is clearly modeled after the Metal Gear Solid codec screen and even has the listed frequency 140.15, which is Meryl's frequency in the Metal Gear Solid games. Even better, the series' creator, Hideo Kojima is a huge fan of LEGO, so this is their way of complimenting him!'
This means Crooler's Storm Cruiser, and its original version pre-modding, is a Metal Gear! Or in LEGO terms, a *Mixel* Gear.
DAMN thats amazing i love every single of your chima Mods so far
All those mods you've made in the background look fantastic! Can't wait to see more of them :D
I love your Chima mode! Keep up the good work!
I saw that Raven vehicle and I can't wait to see your mod video on it, also love how you're taking the time to make sure every tribe gets their own BIG vehicle
HoLy MoBiUs Did anyone else see that insane Raven flyer in the background!!! It's the Misfortune's Keep!
A weapon to surpass metal gear
I love these videos so much, they have actually inspired me to mod some of my own sets (so far have modded a few Ninjago sets!)
I love the AU it’s so interesting
This mod is definitely something else man now I miss china even more
I though Chima was cool when it originally came out, but you rekindled my love for it. I even recently built some Chima MOCs with spare parts I had.
You know, I believe it was Crooler who designed and built the Heli-croc-tor (the osprey like vehicle on the command ship), so seeing this feels like this is her Magnum Opus design.
Yesss! Another mod! So excited!
This looks like an official lego set 👍
And also who's up for a Beast Wars and a Lego Chima crossover 😁
Couple of future mods in the background, i notice.
I always loved the chima sets, but your mods are, what makes wish that chima was still around
That Raven Misfortune’s keep looks amazing it makes me wanna do a wolf Customization of something like the Ninja DBX or jungle raider
Awesome dude
totally awesome.....masterpiece Nick thanks
Wow that is so cool!
I have an idea where Chi is given more environmental rather than Drug undertones,
you could use that for your AU.
btw My Fav was the Wolf tribe.
The vine boom sfx was the final piece that tied this vid together
Good job 👍🏼
Love your videos
looks great!
I love the ravens pirate ship in the back round I need to make that
Sometimes I see that set and think the crocs never had that, this is a cool mod
I've been thinking about going even harder and actually creating a hyena tribe for Chima, and I've been thinking about modding this so I can make them an air vehicle with a menacing look.
Good moc
I would love to see some raven tribe moc. Especially a ground vehicle. I could imagine a truck.
If the crocs continue this flying trend we'll have pterosaurs soon
I too was very confused when the original set came out😅
I would be looking at Ultra Agents sets and be like "why is this Chima set here? Oh, wait..."
I think a lot of power miners builds could work as good templates for rhino builds
Sick asf
Great mod wait what am I saying all your mods are great and who knows what’s to come in the future maybe it will be galaxy squad, maybe another bionicle who knows that one gingerbread house set that came on Christmas anything can happen
Yo that's epic
Awesome crosstheme moc. Is that a Raven's version of the Misfortunes Keep behind the Storm Cruiser?
Hello Nick! Did you hear about big project of Chima community (from Discord) . This project called “Dragon Dilogy” this project will be like a book , but this project have concepts , references of characters, minifigures, real custom minifigures , and more. This project have sets too ... I want post link to g-drive here , but I don’t know about RUclips...
Here - link to google drive with content of big Chima project drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1DEmRJcFWm31kKKw88Vz6tsO54VOCP4KB
Cool
Crool?
ripple gains an entirely new meaning when you consider the unlimited potential of xrp blockchain tech applied to proof of work lego innovations.
Huh?
Why did i laugh at the vine boom sound
I made a saber tooth Tiger vehicle baser on the Turbo Shredder from Ninjago for Strainor
It kind of looks like a modified Metal Gear Ray from Metal Gear Rising: Revengance.
What if the sky pirates from ninjago were the next villains of nexo knights
Can you put that raven vehicle (in a background 1:44) that use for transport in your next LEGO mods?
Pog
Too bad we didn't get some sort of weasel/ferret tribe. Closest we came was a single skunk. Rat tribe would've been wicked awesome too.
A Hippo tribe would be scary af.
@@NickonPlanetRipple Yeah, I could see them driving some big treaded tanks or some kind of amphibious trucks or something since hippos are pretty tough animals. That would've been cool.
@@Autisticguywithacamera They'd need some kind of chomping function, like Hungry Hungry Hippos.
@@NickonPlanetRipple LOL, that sounds like it would have been awesome.
If I had to guess your favorite LEGO theme (other than bionicle) is Chima.
plzzzzzz make a instruction booklet for this i wanna buy it so badly
I see a misfortune's keep converted into raven airship
0:25 vine boom
hey nick when are you going to show us the ravens misfortunes keep?
Yeah the coc tribe is distinct
New lore, from Nick?
Nicks Mods + Planet ripple when?
New vídeo!!!
Hey Nick, I know you're busy with your projects but I'm trying to find the clip of when you talked about your planet ripple mocs. Thank you
I never made Planet Ripple mocs...?
@@NickonPlanetRipple really? Last week I was sick and watching all your vids helping me keep my mind of it, I swear you got the new mining mech and swapped parts out to look like Mino's Mech. Sorry for the loss of time. Excited to see more of what you make.
If you could add you're own tribe into the world of Chima, what would it be?
I already answered this comment on another video.
0:27 VINE BOOM?!
Uh nick...I was kinda kidding when I said that you should use the vine boom sound, it's kind of a meme....
I know.
Was that a vine thud sound effect?
Hang on! I thought this was an old upload! Why didn't RUclips notify me? That's weird
Damnit, youtube...
Never...
*sigh *
Never thought I would hear a vine boom sound effect in one of Nick's videos. Welp.
I threw it in just to be mean.
@@NickonPlanetRipple xD
Is that misfortune's keep has a raven viechle?
Metal Gear Ray.
Then everything charged when the fire nation attacked
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick when will the next monkey kid episode come out
Nick can you make a comic miniseries of your Chima AU? Please please please?
Not without Mozarting myself.
0:27 Did you really just use the Vine boom sound effect?
Yes.
@@NickonPlanetRipple I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
1:18
what's next?
Vine boom
Imma keep it real with you chief.
I aint giving you 5$ to see a less than 5 minutes moc videos early
Of course not. That $5 pays for other videos, discord, art streams, etc.
Please Lego Chima car monster allgator
