pre-requisites
1) Admin console access of Webmail client and Microsoft Office 365.
2) The username and password for each email user in a Webmail client.
3) The username and password for each email user in Microsoft office 365 (for testing purposes if the emails are migrated successfully.
Major steps.
A) For webmail client:
1) Email users need to be created.
2) With emails inside it (to be migrated)
B) For Office 365:
1) Create similar email users.
2) create email migration task configurations.
3) Update the MX records of Office 365.

MX record is the core DNS record for emails sending and receiving while TXT and CNAME are used mainly for domain ownership verification and email security records hosting in Email solution world.

You give a domain name and then verify its ownership and you will find your domain name added to your Office 365.

With this migration, can you some email accounts still on cpanel and others on Microsoft 365. Basically, you have the two running.

Yes, that can be done using the split delivery mechanism. Using this mechanism you can have some email address using CPANEL and some address using office 365 with the same domain name.
