    Mate this was brilliant. Thank you so much. I would love if MigWiz did users as a package, Email including Documents as a single project.

      Yes I agree, that would be a great addition. You can achieve that with the licensing model, but you are right that they need separate projects. I can find out about the roadmap. Feel free to email me at mark@thecloudgeezer.com anytime.

    It's a brilliant video. However, it's missing one mission-critical step: how to set up the BitTitan app to use Modern Authentication. BitTitan doesn't work without Azure App and requires ModernAuthClientIdImport and ModernAuthTenantIdImport properties population in the Project's Advanced Options - Support

      Thanks for the comment, glad that you like the video. For the step you said is missing, looking at the video I found that bit at 34:50. However, is that the item you were meaning? If there is something else then I am more than happy to update/change/fix the video. I really do appreciate these sort of comments, keeps me on my toes! Great video, is there a follow up video on what you do with the Google suite after migration? Just....delete it?

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  2 месяца назад

      Not a bad idea for a follow up video, but yes, just go and delete it once you are done.

    Hello, Is this tool better that the native tool to move from Google Suite to M365?

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  Год назад +1

      Hi. That is a very good question. Tools are there to make life a lot easier as they automate a lot of things that you would otherwise do manually. They can also give more control over the migration directly in a console. If you are setting up a migration then handing it off to other staff to execute then I would recommend a toolset to be involved. If however, you like the idea of free and are willing to invest the extra time into performing the migration then the native tool set will work great for you. Basically you need to weigh up the extra time and effort you will spend, versus the monetary cost of using a tool. Hope that helps. Mark.

    Excellent video! Very helpful! Do you have a video or suggested site on how to best setup our M365 environment against SPAM? We have been getting a ton of junk/spam and even one of our contacts got a spoof TEXT pretending to be our CEO.
    Please help! Do I need to turn anything back on?

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, absolutely I can help with that. My suggestion is to look at the security center in your M365 tenant. Then in policies/rules you can find the inbound anti-spam filter. Turn the setting from '7' (Default') down to either 5 or 6 and monitor it after that. It can take a few hours to take effect but you should so a better result then. Also in the policy are the settings about whether it goes to Junk Email or Quarantine so check that out too. Email me at mark@thecloudgeezer.com if you need to go deeper with your actual setup and we can talk privately. Mark.

    Can you confirm what Azure license we need to follow these steps? I'm unable to add a policy for conditional access. my user license is business standard, so unsure if I'm not properly licensed in order to use MigrationWiz

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  Год назад

      Yes you are correct, the Business Standard doesn't allow you to use Conditional Access Policies. You need at least Business Premium or an E3/E5 license to do that. You could however turn off the Security Defaults around MFA while you perform the migration and put them back once done. This has it's own security risks so consider all the options before going ahead with anything. I am happy to assist 1:1 if you drop me an email at mark@thecloudgeezer.com

    Any clue on this error ? MIGRATION ERRORS
    Your migration failed while checking source credentials. [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials (Failure)
    Source Server 6 days ago

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  Год назад

      That would generally mean that the steps for the pre-reqs on the Google side haven't completed fully. This can often be with the service account and the JSON file that was loaded in. First step I would suggest is to reset the password on the source account and re-apply it into MigWiz. I know that sounds like a 'reboot it' response but often that fixes it. Otherwise, check out the API's and make sure that every one of them has been enabled in the Google Console. Email me at mark@thecloudgeezer.com if you want to send me any screenshots and go a bit deeper. Happy to help out. Mark.

    The polocies to remove 2FA from Azure doesnt show up in Azure? Can anyone help

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  Год назад

      You would need to remove the Security Defaults in the Azure AD Properties in order to use the BT service account. This setting is becoming enforced in M365 tenants and there will soon not be a way to disable it. Once this happens you would need to place a Conditional Access policy inside Azure AD, specifically excluding the Service Account.

    and how can i migrate also the personal drives of the user of google to office365? i must do another project??

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  Год назад

      Yes, exactly. The Mailbox move project is purely that and you need to run a Document Migration project in the console. If you purchased the UMB license from BitTitan then the project would be covered under that. If not, then there are some other 'free' options for transferring Google Drive to OneDrive. Email me at mark@thecloudgeezer.com and I can give you all the relevant links etc.

    Hi I get this error message can you please help me to fix "Your migration failed while checking destination credentials. The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  23 дня назад

      That will be because you may have setup a Client Secret in the UI for the destination endpoint, but haven't configured the management scope etc. I have recently put out a new video explaining this new process. There is also a new help centre article that goes through it. Have a look at this one - ruclips.net/video/kT2tUheERBY/видео.html and the link to the article in there too. Hope that helps out.

      Hi Patrick. My apologies, they come from the BItTitan help desk article that I refer to at the beginning of that section. The scope is the same for every migration so it is just a straight paste from their page.

    • @thecloudgeezer
      @thecloudgeezer  Год назад +1

      Hi. Sure thing. The scopes you need on the GSuite side are:
      mail.google.com/, www.google.com/m8/feeds, www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonly, www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly, www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.group.readonly, www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.user.readonly, www.googleapis.com/auth/drive, sites.google.com/feeds/, www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.settings.sharing, www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.settings.basic,www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.other.readonly
      In case you needed it, the Redirect URI in the App Registration (Azure) is " urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob "
      Let me know if you need anything else.
