Hello... thank you for a very informative video Do we need to open user accounts in the new tenant before migrating to the new tenant? Or does it create itself while transporting?
Hello... thank you for a very informative video... very helpful. I have two questions: 1) What about guest accounts... external users? I'm guessing they would need an account in the target tenant in order to do the mapping; 2) how are 'private' Team channels migrated?
15:30 - unless I'm mistaken, it seems like you have a 50/50 chance in matching up the displayname in the tenant? In your demo with Adele, what if her displayname was "Vance, Adele" in the target which potentially it could be since it didn't find a '"Adele Vance". Would it then create a 2nd account in the target Tenant of 'Adele Vance" and now you have two Adele's in the target? I need clarification on that please. Danke from USA! I have a migration coming up and trying to fully understand the toolset. Tschuss!
Thank you for this video. What permissions have you used for AD1 and AD58 tenant? Is it Global Administrator? or the permissions are automatically fetched?
Does the Quest tool has the sync capability, I'm trying the homedrive to onedrive migration and needs sync? when doing the MS teams migration the meeting links created in the source tenant not working in the destination tenant because of the UPN changes, does quest has a solution for this issue in MS teams migration ?
1) we don't recommend running a sync job between file servers and OneDrive. Nevertheless you could run a scheduled migration job with our Tool Metalogix Essentials for Office 365. 2) In Quest OnDemand Migration Email portal, there is a feature called 'meeting link migration', you may want to try that one.

Would this work for some users splitting one their current tenant to another O365 tenant? What permissions would we need on the parent company side if we can’t have access to migrate their users and SharePoint sites?
yes, you can split and select users of course. To add source and target tenant, you need global admin rights. Later this user can delegate to a Teams, OneDrive, Exchange or SharePoint Migration User.
