    Thank you! After an hour (or more) of going in circles trying to follow Microsoft's "instructions" from one page to the next, you answered it in 5 minutes.

      My pleasure! Glad to have assisted. That is my goal, to essentially 'de-bunk' Microsofts long written tutorials and make them easy to follow.

    Thank you Matthews, Love the result and the simplicity of your video. Finally I can combine the "old" Microsoft server email account and the newly moved local email account under the same email. Will subscribe for sure.

      @@MatthewsTechHub Now I can intergrade Business Central better with Outlook, use the New Outlook, before it always logged in the old Outlook server not in use, Calendar is now sinking with home and work computer (did not before), I can use color labeling as Outlook IMAP account does not offer that and I can use Outlook email app in phone because before it jumped to the Outlook server. Other minor benefits have also helped. So again, thanks for making my working life easier :)

      @@MatthewsTechHub All the emails were sinked from the local provider, but I cannot use my Microsoft access to send and receive new emails. So this is just for one time sink? Now I have two email accesses for the same email. One that is from Microsoft server (that I don't use) and the other at a local provider and I use as IMAP to use with Microsoft (which I use now). But I want to use the Microsoft server so I can more easily use the Microsoft service as Business Central, New Outlook and more. Thank you.

    you miss out changing the nameserver to point to m365 for emails to go to M365 instead.

    Thanks for you vid!
    Do I need to set up the MX records before starting the migration from the old provider? Or can I switch to MS MX Records when it is completed?

    • @MatthewsTechHub
      @MatthewsTechHub  8 месяцев назад +1

      No problem hope it helped! You can switch the MX records after the migration has completed. Usually, I create an email account under a .onmicrosoft.com domain, then migrate the email and then once the migration has completed, setup your domain and then swap the domain for that account over to the domain you have added into the tenant.

    Does this work if we move emails from Zoho to Microsoft E-mail Server ?

    Thank you for this good video it helped a lot !. Q: i did encounter a strange thing when doing this for a customer. one of the account i migrated as you did in this video did not get all the sendt emails over.. last was from 2018 soo somehow it did not get it all. Inbox was okay and no problems. Do you have any suggestion for what could be the reason for this or if you have enqounter the same issue yourself ?

    • @MatthewsTechHub
      @MatthewsTechHub  2 месяца назад

      Thanks for your kind feedback.
      Quite possibly it could have been caused by the exchange cache mode setting which allows you to set how far back emails are to sync. Alternatively, I would suggest re-running a migration on the mailbox and seeing if it then pulls all of the later emails through for the sent folder.

      Allrighty then thanks for the reply. I guess i just going to export / import the sendt elements for this person .. Just so we can getvhis emails from 2018 - 2024 in the sendt emails . Thanks again for the reply :)

    • @MatthewsTechHub
      @MatthewsTechHub  2 месяца назад +1

      @@E4ace Yes so another way you can do it, if you have access to the user account directly you can export the sent items to a PST file and then re import into the account via Outlook. Check out my other video on my channel which covers how to do that.
      Happy to help!

      @@MatthewsTechHub a quick one on this, re running the migration. Would it not create duplicate emails for the ones already migrated successfully ?
