      Hi another great video, just a quick question changing subject for second, what is the law on sleeping in a layby, i know truckers can, coz of their driving hours etc, but i read somewhere we cant stay over night in a layby? your advice please x

    There won't be many places in the world 🌎 nicer than the lakes..& Keswick is quite possibly as nice as anywhere you could ever wish to be..the views over Derwent water are incredible..👍

    I just love these quaint towns you are visiting . Abdolutely beautiful. I am constantly in awe of the beauty of the landscapes. And, you always find the best pastry shops! Loving the UK. Hope to get there some day.

    Absolutely Beautiful! The video reminds me of areas in Wisconsin and the foot hills in Montana. I really wish I could go to the UK. But I don't think I could drive there. I so agree about young people. I use to waitress starting at 6am and cooked till 2. Then spent 2nd shift in a factory. Now they don't know there is a 6am.

    Wow! Two to catch up on! Thank you. Just back from our trip in Ketchup. What have I learnt? That pee bottles are a must have. And that you are both pros at living in a camper van on your travels. It certainly isn’t easy and I was forever wondering where I’d put things 🫢😂. Still I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’ve learned a lot from watching your channel. Thank you Carol and Ken 😊

    Loved the vlog great scenery and shots. A nice relaxing treat to watch on Sunday evening after the Jubilee weekend. Went to the lakes a few years ago stayed in hotel in Windemere had a mini bus tour all around incorporating a visit to Beatrix Potters house. Thanks Guys. x

    We love Keswick. We ate in Bryson’s a few weeks back it was expensive but the food was good. Our favourite place to eat was LRB, Lake Road Brunch just by Hope Park, excellent food, very friendly service, very reasonably priced.

    Greetings from Australia, although I’m currently in the UK!
    How nostalgic to see the Castlerigg stone circle. I’ve visited there twice and hope to be back in the Lakes District in another month or so. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’m able to visit the pencil museum this time as it was closed due to flooding the last time I visited

    Wow. Thanks for the memories. So nice to see Keswick again and all the old haunts and areas we used to walk Blue as a pup. Loved the drone footage of the snow topped fells too. And boy, think you both deserved as you called it "a flop" and we hope it did the trick 🤔🐕🚙

    Last time I was in the Lake District was in 1978, stayed in Cumbria. I love those quirky little streets. Yum iced finger's 😋. You've been in the war's carol, bit like myself with our aches and pains. XX ❤️💙

      I’m afraid I am one of those nutters who goes up in all weather and in fact do more in winter than summer because dealing with the conditions is half the fun. Give me driving rain rather than flies any day!

    I once went camping in glenriding ,gilside farm camping site then attempted helvalen and failed lol my legs went and had to escorted down by two very nice gents lol happy memories tho .great video of keswick and carol some very nice photos 😀

    You will be amazed visit Norway or Sweden. Here its freedom to roam mostly everywhere outside towns. Up to two days you can stay anywhere camping, and if you go further into the wilderness you can stay as long as you like. We even have camping spots with free toilets and power. I think freedom of roam is the same in the UK, but only in scotland.

    Yeh, still trying to figure out Ken's white pepper, thinkin salt [the bad stuff]?? Lake District Beatrix Potter.Military Istallations from WW2 patrolled by the Home Guard, who patrolled the lakes as well. 4:42in Intrigueing boats. 16 tun, decent size rock. Seems like you had a rockin good times, in the Lake District. Always wanted to go there, prefer the drier English Summer there. Seems like its sped up driving but, the talking isn't. Trying to het away overnights now the weathers getting warmer here, bit dif in an Xtrail than the Iload. Nice goin m8s stay vertical Eh!

    Love your van but having said that I have a question. Why don’t you ever raise the roof. I understand that when it’s cold you don’t so that it stays warmer. But during the day when your inside and especially when cooking or tidying up or just staying inside relaxing or something, I think it’s much more comfortable to have it up.
    Oh yes, not to forget saying, loved the video 😄.

    Ken, here in America the COVID has got people that collected unemployment not going back to work because the assistance checks are more than their paychecks. I started work when I was 12 years old. I’m retired. Ow and 73 years old and was never without a job until I retired.
