I just finished the Part Of Your World trilogy off your recommendation and I loved them all! Now I'm on the next Abby Jimenez trilogy!!!
Just finished too, soo good! I personally liked the first book the best but all good.
@@dianamedley3456same here! I didn’t think the first book would be my favourite out of all!
Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors, I can't wait to read her newest trilogy! I hope you're reading The Friend Zone trilogy next, those books had me swearing by her writing and totally pulled me out of my reading slump.
Which order do i read it in? I just read yours truly
@@jewelcaro6545 part of your world is the first book and yours truly was the second. The order doesn’t matter too much because it’s just character cameos in each book. Each story is completely different.
i used to not like reading but after watching jess for sooooo many years now I love it.
funny story is my fave from the month (my fave from emily henry!) 🥰 also i laughed out loud with the picture of the dog you used for just for the summer, so true
hahaha yesss 🤣 ive heard good things about funny story!! I'll add it thank you!!
The 7 year slip is my current read and I loveeee it! It has to do with romance and time travel. 10/10 so far!
loved this book SO much
I just read A Novel Love Story, Ashley Poston's newest book, and I absolutely loved it!! It was my first book by her and I highly recommend. Seven Year Slip is on my tbr, I've heard great things about it.
Here are some of my recent favorites!
- The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
- The Help by Kathryn Stockett
- The Martian by Andy Weir
I’m reading The Nightingale next and am hoping it lives up to the hype everyone gives it. Kind of scared by the size of it 😂.
@@kayleigh_104 yes lol I found it at the library and second-guessed myself but it is such a good read and sooooo worth it
The Nightingale is amazing- one of my favorites! However, it is SO heavy. Just forewarning
I’ve definitely heard great things about it. Excited to finally read one of Kristin Hannah’s books.
I have recently really gotten into reading; something about it this time round, it’s so relaxing and allows my mind to escape to another reality.. into another world 🥰 I really struggle with reading aloud or in my mind, it’s almost like I can’t process words correctly and sometimes it upsets me so I take a break from reading but recently, I just got into audible.. and oh my gosh, it’s a game changer for me; I put on my airpods and listen as I read along and it’s helped so much, I’ve already got about 10 books ready in line for my next read 🤍 sending so much love jess xx
I love watching these reading recaps but it results with my tbr list growing more and more LOL
You would love when in Rome by Sarah Adams! It has a small town country boy + big city girl trope too, I just finished it and it is so good 😊
YES and the other one "practice makes perfect" too!
@@kcwilbu oh my gosh I’ve been so excited to read it!!
I also read Take back your family just two weeks ago, i'm so giddy about this! this is my review on goodreads about it: "This is one of the best books I've read about families (and not only) so far, I don't have children, but it's such a great preparation, for someone who doesn't have their own family AND for someone who does. It gives profound insights into living intentionally, the difference between the family oriented around consumption vs the family oriented around contribution. The book is filled with practical habits that can transform family life and the importance of a team as a family, and asking the WHYs, the hard questions no one really asks for their own family, but we all do in our job areas, church, missions, businesses, and so on. How come we've fallen so much in an area that was meant to thrive? "If we don't deal with the why, we will continue to act like zombies living a reality we don't want but aren't even aware of." "This matters because whatever story we believe, we become." "
jess, i really think you should try "to sir, with love" by lauren layne!! it gives all the 2000s romcom vibes and so so cute
I finished “Book Lovers” probably 2/3 weeks ago and LOVED IT! The ending was just so sweet, but it was too spicy for me 😅
Love your content ❤
I truly trust and appreciate your choices. It’s nice to take a break from researching wholesome book titles 📚 💗.
I’m currently reading The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren and am enjoying it. I read The Summer of Broken Rules before and also really enjoyed it 4/5 stars. 💗
I also read all three books from Abby Jimenez, my favorite was Yours Truly but i adore Alexis and Daniels story as well. I’m currently reading The Nightingale with my sister 💛
hey! i have been watching you and gabe from the very beginning. i love that you have this channel now, you NEED to read the magnolia park series, it’s so good.
I read part of your world recently too. I really loved it. Now I’m reading yours truly
I’m about to start part of your world bc of you!! I am currently read small little things and I recommend it to everyone! I just started two days ago and I’m a little over halfway.
LOVE that you also do not enjoy reading spicy books. It is so hard to find good book recs when everyone really just seems to be reading for the spice. It is so nice knowing I can trust your recs and I have found some of my favorite books from your videos! 🤍
Me encanta como Jess pronuncia "Jimenez" ❤
I read my first Riley Sager book this month and I'm so gutted why I haven't read his stuffs earlier bcs it's so good omg. I read 'Final Girls' by the way and I'm so excited to read more of his books!!
and I'm currently reading four books lol
1. The Plot (Jean Hanff Korelitz) - A physical book
2. The Portrait of a Lady (Henry James) - An ebook if I don't have my physical book with me
3. 미래과거시제 (배명훈) - Another ebook if I'm in the mood to use my brain so I can improve my Korean reading skill lol
4. True Crime Story (Joseph Knox) - An audiobook for commuting to and from work
I LOVED BOOK LOVERS! So excited to see what you think! Just read it from the 6-9 of July!
i love how you included the aesthetic for each book🥺🤍 you should start a book club oneday🙏🏼
Summer Romance surprised me so much, the book truly touched my heart, can’t recommend it enough!!
Yes!! Take back your family is THW BEST!!!
The Part of your world trilogy is on my summer tbr! 🥰
for mysteries my favorite is a good girls guide to murder! the trilogy is incredible, highly recommend!!!
my current read is caraval, a fantasy book and it's been good so far. oh, and the aesthetics of just for the summer are sooo accurate, especially the dog 😅
i just love how cozy and intimate this channel feels! it makes me want to go to a coffee shop and grab my book with me ❤ (love the color of your hoodie btw!!!)
You should read Sarah Adams’ books When in Rome and Practice Makes Perfect! They are very similar to Abby Jimenez’s books but follow the girl who is a celebrity singer and a baker in a small country town. I really feel like you will love them 💕💕
a small town boy and big city girl trope i’d recommend are juniper hill by devney perry, when in rome by sarah adams and the simple wild by k.a tucker ❤️
I got book recommendations from various friends this month so my goal is to read all of their recommendations: they are
Invisible Monsters - Chuck Pahlaniuk
First Lie Wins- Ashley Elston
The Husbands Secret- Liane Moriarty
The Time Travelers Wife- Audrey Niffenegger
We Were Liars- E. Lockhart
The Drowning Woman- Robyn Harding
Read yours truly because of you and it was amazing. Going to end up reading in the same order as you!!
I actually pictured you as Emma when I was reading Just For The Summer!! And I can now totally picture Gabe as Justin!!
Always waiting for your videos with your months read! 🧡🧡
Just For The Summer sounds so good. I really want to read that series now. If you’re looking for another summer read to add to your TBR, I’d highly recommend Every Summer After by Carley Fortune. It has some similarities to Love and Other Words, but I just read Every Summer After in June and it’s my new favorite book of all time! There are a few spicy scenes that you’d have to skip over, but the rest of the book is so good and one I know I’ll read again and again.
Yess! So excited to see your opinion on this books, they’ve been in my TBR 😊
In June I read the Dirty Little Scandals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. VERY similar in pace and style of The Inheritance Games, so you might like that! Also Beach Read is my favorite of Emily Henry if you’re looking to start another 🥰
Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott is a book l definitly recommend! It recounts the adventures of four sisters. I enjoy the authors description of the different characters a lot, because it is so relatable and authentic.
Also thank you for the video☺
Hey Jess, really like this booktube channel! I think you said that the podcast was your dream, so it would be great of you picked it up again on your channel. It would be so interesting, you could do some girl talks, have your mum/sis on, your friends/ collabs with other youtubers. You could do it once a month, it would ve great! Do consider if you can! ❤
I recently really loved books by Juliana Smith, where the series follows Wells sibling. Every story has a different trope and there isn't much spicy scenes. They are an easy read so i think you would like them☺️
You make me feel better about not reading 10 books a week! Love this content and love to see you having fun with it!!!
I Just finished book lovers and am 30 % into summer romance and I am LOVING it so much!!
I was just reading ‘The Women’ by Kristen Hannah and I just had to recommend it to you! Anything Kristen Hannah is so beautiful and emotional. Also highly highly recommend ‘The Nightingale’
the merch looks soooooo good!
Trying to get back into reading through Jess's recommendations ❤
Gosh, I'm so glad to see this video on my feed. 🤍
Heyy jess!! I read the whole part of your world trilogy thanks to you! great books but the first two were the best for meee
I think you’d like the housemaid series by Frieda McFadden, I’m on book 3 and the twists and storyline are great
oh yes I've only read book 1 but want to keep reading!!!
are books 2 and 3 different enough from the first!?
@@morejessconte yeah they are different stories but the same person, but they still have twists and turns and are really enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend reading rather than listening to them
I LOVED just for the summer too!! I really connected with and related to the main character
Hey Jess, you’ll love the book / audiobook of Birds in Flight by Anni Taylor. It’s a murder mystery of a missing American woman in Australia!
I just finished home is where the bodies are and it was so good! Now I'm reading one by one by Freida McFadden which is one of my fav authors. Book lovers is on my tbr list. Can't wait!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND you read "How to age dis-gracefully" by clare Pooley. I feel like you would love it. It's one of those books I could not put down and was SUPER funny
oooh thank you ill look it up!! 🥰
I just finished The Perfect Couple by Elon Hilderbrand and I LOVED it. For a murder mystery that still had summer vibes. It definitely had me guessing the whole time. Though the ending was a little bit of a let down.
that trilogy reminds me of "anna and the french kiss" trilogy!
Jess, you should try Jenny Han's "The Summer I turned pretty" it's a 3 books story but soooooo goooddddddd ❤
Have you read any Robin Gunns books? The Christy Miller series holds such a special place in my heart! I read them when I was 13, the original series is geared more for preteen/teens but she does have a college and married series. They’re such sweet books, I can’t wait to introduce them and read them with my daughter. She turns one tomorrow!!!
She has another series, the Glenbrooke series which is more for women. She’s a Christian author so you don’t have to worry about any spicy chapters lol
I just read the night she disappeared I really liked it!
you should read hotel nantucket by elin hilderbrand! such a fun, summery vibe!
omg even I read 'part of your world' last week! reading yours truly rn!
This was amazing!! Having Jess on booktube is the best thing that's happened in 2024!! Also, your hair looks amazing in this video, could please tell me what cut you asked for at the hair salon and what you're using to keep it so healthy. Thank you 😊.
There's an excellent book called 'The Shack' by William Paul Young about a man who spends a weekend with God after his young daughter is kidnapped and unalived. Not religious myself, but I loved how he and God reconnected and how he is taught/encouraged to see things a different way.
There's also a movie with the same name if you want to watch that and get a taster of what the book is about (the book is better, as always).
Glad you're enjoying Abby Jimenez books. She's a top author for me!!! I've read both of her trilogies each have their own heavy topic/storyline and she executed them to perfection.
Worst wingman is a tiny novella by her too released last year can't wait to tackle it and sadly I'll be officially done with all her books😭😭😭
OMG I just found out you have this channel!! So excited to binge watch your videos
pleaaaaase read Fourth wing!!! it’s sooo good and addictive!!
Probably late in the game, but I'm currently reading the song of achilles. I also just finished the reappearance of rachel price!
I’m currently reading crown of midnight by sarah j. maas. It’s technically the second book in the throne of glass series, but I’m reading it third since I read the prequel first. I’m really enjoying it so far!
Can I just say I highly recommend the caraval trilogy for a bit of fantasy lovers? It is so good!
Ahh Jess!! I love this so much and I love your videos so much! You are such an inspiration to me and I love your book vlogs so much. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day and I can’t wait for baby to arrive 💕
I love books by Mary Higgins Clark the queen of suspense. I would recommend “ Where Are You Now?”
I’m currently reading Tress of the Emerald Sea and I’m a little more than halfway through and I love it! It’s for fans of Princess Bride which is my favorite movie. I’m taking a break from thrillers for the moment and trying my hand with some light fun fantasy. I’m wanting to check out Emily Henry & Abby Jimenez soon!
The couple at number 9!
You have to read love in tandem!!!! My favorite romance story it’s so cute
I’m reading beach read by Emily Henry! I love her books 😊
I haven't read anything for Abby Jimenez, but everyone seems to love her books so maybe I should check them out 🤔 Nice video, Jess. It's really nice to hear you talk about books❤
Jess, I just finished Reckless, the second book in the Powerless trilogy. If you are wanting to try another fantasy read I think you will LOVE Powerless by Lauren Roberts. The world is very interesting but easy to understand. The romance/relationships are a big focus and no spice at all! The banter is 10/10. Highly recommend!!☺️
Can you put The Simple Wild by K. A. Tucker on your reading list?? It’s one of my favorite books!
I second this! One of my all time favorite books and the only book that’s made me cry!
check out the cleaned up romance collection to help you skip spice!!
you'd love ''when in Rome'' by Sarah Adams if you love the small-town boy, big city girl trope! I don't know if you've read it but if not, I would recommend!
ahhhh i’m so happy now to see you post
I’m reading funny story by Emily Henry , I read two of her other books sooo good
omg the merch!! 😍😍
Just finished One True Loves, loved it!
Yay new upload 😊 lovely video 💛
I couldn’t get into part of your world but loved yours truly! 🤞🏽 might give the 3rd a try! I recommend the infinity between us by n.s Perkins! I think you’ll like it!
I think you should read the 'A Good Girls Guide to Murder' series by Holly Jackson. I feel you'll really enjoy it, because it's murder mystery vibes ❤
I love Lisa Jewell but really did not enjoy the family upstairs and the family remains, like you said, there’s too many povs whilst switching time periods, it was a hard read to get through 😂
Interesting though because I loved the night she disappeared!
10/10 recommend you add this to your TBR!!!! ❤
Do I know you? by Emily Wibberly
Okay this is probably not your style of book but I love this series so I thought I'd suggest it - the Space trilogy by CS Lewis, it starts with the book "Out of the Silent Planet". I love that series so if you want to try something different you should do it :)
I finished the selection series this month and read none of this is true by Lisa jewel which I LOVED. Going to read a nonfiction called practicing the way!
I'm currently reading Mind Shift by Erin McManus it non-fiction but it's very good
I cant remember if you've read any of her books but I feel you may love Frieda McFadden books! Obviously the Housemaid books (especially the first) is great and One By One is a great one so long as you dont mind the theme of it.
I have been waitingggg for this video 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you for doing these videos!! I really enjoy them!! You should def read Nov. 9th
When are you releasing the merch? 🥰 I love the brown hoodie!
Hi Jess. I would recommend you reading Kulti by Marianna Zapata. It takes some time to get into it but the banter is amazing and there's only spice at the end of the book😅
you should listen to After I Do by Taylor JR
So excited for your baby boy, Can’t wait to see Kiah be a big sister, and Gabe Be a boy dad hehe. My Girlfriend Just finished The Other Boleyn Girl, & she loved it. I’m in the middle of reading The Half Of it A Memoir By Madison Beer it’s sooo good
Every video makes me feel like I’m hanging with my cool older sister! AHHH
Currently reading this summer will be different by Carley Fortune❤️🌴🌊
the oak tree merch!
Have you read “The dead romantics” such a beautiful rom com. Beautiful writing:)
