“Take a bath productions” YT channel has a video on replacing the rear drive cable on a Husqvarna mower. It’s not this model but the video WAS still a bit helpful. I followed this video until it didn’t match my mower. I’m a female and not very mechanically inclined but I figured it out and got my cable installed. To change the cable on this one, you need to remove the wheels and adjust height to the lowest setting, so you can get to 2 of the screws that are holding the plastic pieces that are underneath the base. There’s 1 screw on each side, 2 under the grass catcher flap and 2 on top of the base behind the engine. Empty the fuel tank! I didn’t and I had a mess. Flip the mower on its right side and remove the blade and then the 2 plastic pieces. That exposes the belt, pulley and where the new cable will go. As far as disassembly goes, this is where I stopped. I have small hands so I was able to get the new cable installed in that cramped space. I’m not sure if you were to disassemble anything more, if that would be easier. I personally didn’t want to take a chance on taking something else apart and not be able to figure out how to put it back together. Lol I did take a pic of where the cable attaches before I removed anything just as a reminder of where the spring is attached and its position and where the cable attaches. It’s been a while since you asked this channel your question so you possibly have your cable installed already. If not, I hope this helps.
Just saw this video in my feed. Excellent. I wonder if there is a way to adjust the throttle cable. When I go to power down/off, the cable won't go all the way. I have to remove the air filter and push against the idle linkage to kill the engine.
I have the same lawnmower. I have no problem starting it up, when I first started it. My problem is after it is running for awhile, when I stop for a moment .,When it’s been running for awhile. It will not start back up easy. I change the spark plug, ignition coil and filter. But it’s still doing the same thing. I even adjusted the starting cable
Why didn't you put starting fluid in the carb to start off with? Change the gas. If it starts and turns off quickly it's the carb. If puting starting fluid in the carb and the lawnmower does nothing its your spark.
Did you ever fix it? I found the same mower in the trash as well, mine was in far better shape but i did need to replace the magneto and now it runs but as soon as i turn it off it floods and i cant start it again until i drain the fuel from the cylinder and muffler and carb. Im assuming i need to get car rebuild kit but im sure its just the rubber nipple on the float needle that is worn out.
yes we did and its currently for sale locally for 350$ we found it on the side of the road cleaned and restored it now we will pocket 320$ after everything is said and done its like free money
i have the same motor on one of my mowers and i cant get this thing started for anything..it seems like its flooded wiht oil i drained all the oil out it has a new carberator but still wont start. spark plug looks new i gues sits going to take extra to get it started this ones not as simple as cleaning the carberator
For me the problem was the wire insulation was missing on the kill switch wire which attaches to the ignition coil. A mouse ate off the insulation. If you follow the wire from the spark plug up to the engine you'll see a small rectangular black box. There is a small wire coming off of the black box. That's the kill switch.
@@joecenturion ill keep it in mind for next time i find one like this..i ended up selling it as is ..its frustrating getting one im unable to diagnose..it doesnt happen often this is just a backyard hobby for me but ive gotten pretty good at it i fix most than i dont maybe a handful i havent been able to fix..its not wiorth spending so much money around ehre peopel arent willing or wanting to pay even 100 bucks for a working one ..this is a good mower but to them id say then go buy one in the store for 4-500.
I Put a brand new carburetor in along with a new spark plug and new gsoline, still no start, checkd the pull cord and the electrical relay, all seemed ok...no start still ??????????????
spray starting fluid in the carb 2sec shot, pull 7-8 times or more if it won't start check the kill switch cable spring on the back of the engine pull down the lever on the handle and with your foot push the spring towards the cable then try to start
Put in a new carb using this video as a tutorial-no more surging, mower runs like new. Thanks!!!!
Any chance you can makeva video on how to fix the self-propel not working on this exact model?

That’s what we did champ new vids out often
I hate the music
This was extremely helpful. Thanks
Great in depth video…Thank You!
I agree with @willi6880. Can you please do a video on how to replace the drive cable on this mower?
Very detailed. Great job.
Great video. Please consider stopping using music. In my opinion, it’s very annoying while watching your video!
Outstanding video. Thanks.
Awesome and thanks!

Great video but the music was horrible.

Used guitar strings make the best port cleaners!

I.laughed wondering the same

What are the names/part numbers for those two springs? I can’t figure it out by the manual. It’s no help, but mine are loose.
Thanks
What oil does it take
Rare model one bolt on the coil !!
Thanks we noticed it was uncommon, yesterday we had a hedge trimmer that was registered as a weed wacker. sub if you can, thanks
The last bolt he removed from the cover bolts through the other side of the coil.

Remove the background music, it take away from what you’re saying.

check the insulation on the kill switch as I explained to "Sonny C".
spray starting fluid in the carb 2sec shot, pull 7-8 times or more if it won't start
check the kill switch cable spring on the back of the engine pull down the lever on the handle and with your foot push the spring towards the cable then try to start
You didn't diagnosed it properly. Lol
You think lol
