be easy people. lol. this is a prototype, and like any other prototypes, mistakes and imperfections are IMPORTANT and NEED to be made. even billion dollar companies with actual factories cannot make a perfect product in one swing. it takes MONTHS, if not YEARS. what is to be expected from someone like me, who practically HAND made everything in less than two weeks? come on.. let's be a bit realistic. =) cheers!!!
To those who disliked this video fuck you cunts jp is the kind of modder who brings the pc to the mainstream. For something that was done the first time its very impressive - not only that but also under time constraints. So again to those who disliked this video fuck all of you
here is a tip never grind the head off a rivet as it will no longer have any force other than just friction, as the idea of a rivet is to use the head and the mandrel head to clamp the materials together.
That desk was a BIG project, very difficult to condense into a short time frame. It must have been a LOT of hard work, especially given the challenges and unknowns. What a massive loop. Looks like you did a great job for the lucky new owner. Best wishes for the channel and the future.
Thanks JP for all the videos that u have made so far... It helped me a lot to start modifying my own pc...and now it looks great..and my friends do like it. also they have asked me to mod their pc too..... I really didn't knew about pc modding, but after I have seen your videos, its been a great experience modding.
dont mind other people said....im proud being a filipino because of the things u"ve done in the mainstream of being a modder.....keep up the good work Sir JP.....hope someday i"ve became a modder like you...cheers!!!!!!
Too bad. I'd like to see what you could have done with unlimited time and supplies. These videos are inspiring. I've been modding my case slowly over the last little while. Keep it up. You do good work. 😊
Absolutely outstanding creation!! You truly are inspirational and as soon as I get the funds and resources I'm building a desk PC!! I could watch your builds all day long (luckily RUclips allows for this!) Keep up the good work :D
Overall it was good. The acrylic top panel was really a good idea, personally. It's good especially for gamers or people that likes to bash their mouse or keyboard on the table when they get frustrated. Not bad for a first time build from scratch project. But if it was me, I would use paint primer and add paint it after. That way it will look smoother and feel smoother. Could ise a little more aesthetics though. With a large amount of suppliers I'm sure it could've been a more brilliant output. But, like I said , overall it was a great project. I always wanted to build one of those.
So the mobo is mounted to the acrylic, and the acrylic is mounted to MDF standoffs. How exactly is it grounding electrically? Please tell me it's not just the 24 pin connector. I see a few people pointed out some of my other concerns, like storage, radiators, IO accessibility, stacking of loop connectors, no liquid gasket on the custom tap plate, but as it's "not finished" I assume that all will be sorted out. Using the bondo to fill in the gaps was a good call, and it was interesting to see the work that it took to leak check a loop of that size. Is there anything that you would do differently in your next table build based on what you learned this time around? How did you strengthen the legs and lower support?
It will be grounded by the 8-pin PSU, the PCI-E for the GFX, and the 24-pin motherboard wire. Grounding is no real issue, as every wire feeding it power, supply an equal wire for ground.
Great work for having never done this before. With more practice you could be awesome making cases and desks. Keep up the good work. Don't let the negative comments discourage you. Many of those people have never done custom work before and so they don't understand the amount of time, patience, skill and resources that go into such work.
really cool build bro, but wont the thing dust in after like 2 days of use? there are no filters and you might get your fingers stuck in the fan since there are no grills /:
nice build but i would change the reservoir mounts. idk why i hate those plastic ones but maybe take a look at the singularity computer reservoir mounts
This is one of my biggest Dreams to do gaming desks that are Case 4 your Tech too. But i am a Wood Craftsman... I Wish there will be a day i can start building a beatyful wooden gaming desk.
Hope you documented any troubles you had...I'm sure this won't be your last scratch build. Maybe invest in a fittings kit like Singularity Computers has also.
Wished it was symmetrical by putting the motherboard in the middle long section and use one radiator and reservoir on either side and cover the rest with fans, that would have been the best layout and the tubing would have been symmetrical as well....
didnt see the desk pc actually runnin man!! that was awesome job but i would like to see how the cable managment was and where did you put the power button etc
Hey JP! Loved the video and great work on the desk and keeping to the deadline. I hope that if I'm ever back in the middle east its for something fantastic like this! =-) Now back to my own desk project...
Really nice build, but if i were you, i would have left the acrylic you were mouting the MOBO without painting and used some LED at the bottom of it. cuz all the LED lights are from the fan side and its pretty dark on the mobos side, since there's no fan at all. (sorry for the bad english).
Yay, Portuguese always save a mate when needed. Im Proud to be Portuguese, Nice project, never is easy to make for scratch specially a desk pc. Keep up I hope that will not or last scratch build because you brilliant working with acrylic and think you can do pretty unique stuff. regards
Hello ! great build , could we have access to all the dimension of each part of the desk ? I find your work stunning and i would like to inspire my desk from your !
One thing I would have done different would have been using nuts and bolts instead of pop rivets. I know it would have cost more but that would have been it. Looks good though, I like it.

Stunty Gaming tempered glass was goingnto arrive a week after i left. i dont think im that dumb to use acrylic on a clear table top for everyday use.
JPModified more smiling = more subs, but your videos Are realy good

I like the design of this desk. Different to every other desk out there. Well done.
Too bad. I'd like to see what you could have done with unlimited time and supplies. These videos are inspiring. I've been modding my case slowly over the last little while. Keep it up. You do good work. 😊
