Warhammer as a franchise has existed for nearly 40 years now beginning as a simple tabletop wargame, pre-dating and inspiring modern classics like WoW, Starcraft, DOOM (the original 1993 one), and Gears of War among other things. And this is what happens when you have fans that genuinely love and care for a franchise that's been going strong for decades. Also space marines are so tanky and badass that while most games like gears have you rely heavily on cover, in this game you ARE the cover. That's what happens when you're an 8ft tall killing machine that has 2 hearts, 3 lungs, the ability to gain memories by eating the dead, the ability to spit acid, the ability to instantly close wounds, alongside other horrifying abilities.
Titus is the main character paly as in the first game. As your heard the second game takes place 100 years later Spac Marines can live far longer than normal humans, in warhammer 40k lore the oldest active living space marine is Dante he's 1000 years old. Oh fun fact in the lore Space Marines are trained as children 9 to 12 years old boys. They are put through indoctrination, brutal horrifying trails and training. TQhen genetically enhanced to become super soldiers, after they are given their power armor that enhances their already enhanced strength and speed. Their whole purpose in life as a Space Marine is to kill the enemies of humanity and to fight and died for their Emperor.
@@ShadowTheNPC your welcome Warhammer 40k also inspired a few franchises like Halo, Gears of War and Starcraft. Gears of war for soldiers on heavy armor and chainsaw weapons. Halo's Spartan-IIs super soldiers like Master Chief was took inspiration from the Space Marines/Astartes of Warhammer 40k. Example. Spartan-IIs are trained as children then genetically enhanced to become super soldiers in power armor, made to become the defenders of humanity. Space Marines of 40k are trained as children then genetically enhanced to become super soldiers in power armor, made to be the defenders of humanity. Helldivers even takes quite a bit of inspiration from Warhammer 40k especially it's enemies.
I agree on customization usually not getting any love and its probably due to development time. Injustice 2 set a very high standard for loot and mix and matching but the mortal kombat devs went backwards🤦😭
@@phant0mpanda injustice 2 pissed me off with having 100 gear pieces called different things but looked the exact same, idk if that game truly set a high standard really, but decent example
@@ShadowTheNPC I meant more of the combination, all the legendaries were different and there were plenty you could mix and match, but I will agree that every other gear rank had clones😭
@@phant0mpanda oh absolutely, I remember how exciting that made the game going into it, I still have yet to get the staff of Grayson btw which is like the rarest ability in the game I swear
