@@romygutierrez7873 The point is these "game" "journalists" can't even play worth shit and have less than zero clue about how the game they're supposed to have reviewed actually works. And then he goes on about how close-range guns are pointless... while in reality the Melta Rifle and Multimelta are two of the most busted guns in the entire game.
Honestly, people complaining about canned animations don’t realize that for each perfect parry and execution the animation is different based on the kind of enemy, weapon, etc. Imo it just makes the combat feel more smooth, because the hack and slash is broken up occasionally with an awesome cinematic move that just makes you feel cool (which is exactly what a game about being a space marine should feel like)

To me, the entire review sounded like it was written by someone who isn’t really a gamer, just a "journalist" who occasionally plays games. They likely have zero knowledge of the WH40k universe and little experience with third-person shooters. It seems they expected the game to have 2 or 3 very simple mechanics spoon-fed to every player during the tutorial. This game has a variety of mechanics that aren’t explained outright. For instance, you can parry or block attacks that don’t have a cinematic indicator (blue/orange), such as normal attacks from Majoris/Extremis-level enemies. Yes, you can even do this during the campaign. I replayed it with a friend, and he was surprised at how much better I was at melee combat than him. This also works with smaller enemies like the Tyranids. If you "block" even a minor (Minoris) enemy during its attack animation, it knocks back all nearby enemies. I’ve seen players at level 25, playing on ruthless difficulty, who hadn’t realized this because the tutorial doesn’t spell out every small detail. And yes, you can’t expect a different finisher animation for the 10,000th enemy you kill during the campaign, but the reviewer sounds like they played the game on the easiest difficulty and are now complaining that it’s too easy. The comment about the lack of customization is especially amusing. It shows that the reviewer didn’t even bother to explore the PvE or PvP tabs of the game. This whole review feels like a joke, but unfortunately, it’s not even a funny one.
They indeed aren't gamers, they journalists - well, bad journalists because writing reviews for the games is seen as low journalism, compared to more elite branches like movie reviews (even though games make much more money that movie for a while now and have larger fanbase, but journalist industry failed to keep up with things) so we have loser journalists who may not hate the games (although its debatable) but they hate their position and dream of writing about something more prestigious. And they may be actually relaxed casual players in some visual-centered bs, but none of them actually gamers in hobbyist sense of the word so of course reviews look like they come from another planet, where shit receive good ratings for political reasons and universally loved games receive low ratings because journo bros can't play not extremely casual games that don't pull their hand all the time, or hate the genre but somehow didn't gave review to some of their collegues who like that genre (but they all love open world Witcher 3 bad clones and hate Dark Souls or any complex game at all so they have to authors to write reviews about such games)
"Long range battle is largely pointless." "Close range guns have little use either." While the FACT is, most people is complaining that assault class is underpowered. And the melta weapon and rifle grenade bolter are the meta build.
Does anybody actually listen to mainstream reviewers anymore? They were bought and paid for by the industry years ago, this is no secret. I haven’t used them in like maybe 15 years
You can perry any attack that isn't red, so many people seem to think its just the ones with blue indicators, presumably because reading the tutorial tip is hard. Basic, rule small guys leave the ground, hit perry. Big guy pulls his arm back, hit perry. The perry system isnt great but its not as busted as some people seem to think.
Let’s be honest, we know why pc gamer gave a low score. CEO of saber dared to step out of the ideological line. He bashed current games for being woke, and complimented Wukong, and now there is a woke hate campaign against him. If he had said nothing, they would have given it a somewhat higher score at least.
The game also celebrates masculinity and doesn't denigrate men every chance it gets, aka it shows men in a good light and doesn't push woke lefty morally bankrupt ideals.
This is just straight up false. PC Gamer review came out on 4th of September. The Matthew Karch comment was posted 9 days ago as of my reply, so circa Sep 13th. And before you call me woke, I love the game and hate the PC Gamer review.
Executions are so clutch, not only does it give you armor back you can use it to thru damage if times well and it gives you a small break to spin your camera around see whats going on around you and plan your next move.
Well said, the review for this game was so annoying. Even more irritating was their review or Forbidden West on PC. The reviewer seemed to genuinely hate that type of game and the score they gave was criminal
Respect to them for sticking it to open world collectathons. Wish they were more consistent with that. Any game that can't push you in the right direction without 2D symbols popping up in your face has failed.
The PCgamer review is a hit piece. I think that whoever wrote it is worried that games will go back to catering to the audience that is willing to buy authentic games en masse.
Even ignoring PC gamers questionable track record, people in general seem to hate Space Marine because it's a simple and fun horde hack & slash with shooting and nobody seems to understand we don't need bloated systems for that. I've seen people absolutely it over how the game is simple to play and how a game that isn't even a month old only has Cosmetics for DLC. People in general need to chill out.
If the Space Marine was a black Lesbian, with breast removal scars, with mechanical strap-on, a portrait of Hillary Clinton on the breastplate armour and from the "reparations guild", then Space Marine 2 would have receive 10/10 from game reviewers.
I mean I could see this being a 7, but not a 6. It has pacing issues, the notification for taking damage doesn't have enough impact leaving pvp feeling half baked and they need to allow cross play in ALL modes.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game but I do have two big criticisms: 1. Can there just be a direct menu system, right at the beginning to take you to the game type you want to play? 2. The loading times…am I the only one that remembers that the PS5 was supposed to basically have no loading? This game takes A WHILE. From starting the game to actually playing, the wait time is easily over 5 minutes. Anyone???
Anybody saying that the load times aren't an issue needs to share whatever they're smoking, because they are bad. My PC is a 14700k, 4080Super, with an NVME drive, and the fact is that my PC can load a map in DCS in the time it takes to load an operation in SM2 without the connection issues. A 3rd-person shooter should not have load times comparable to a flight sim with maps that can be upwards of 60GB.
Playing on easy: This executions a getting repetative... Playing on veteran: Holy Terra! Execution! Thanks Emperor! I can regain some of my armor and chill for 1 second...
A tip for melee combat, my goal is to parry and swing away while I'm waiting to be attacked. You can interrupt anything you are doing at any time with a parry and don't look at the little guys as you're hacking away, stare at the warriors and survey for ranged attacks.
Honestly, the biggest sm2 flaw - as far as I'm concerned - is the overused trope of "aliens are the enemy.. but wait, chaos is behind it all!" Still does it pretty well.
04:20 the reason of weird window thinghy is because of each melee weapon from knife to hammer, have different attributes. each have its own ups and down, including how much window you have to parry and dodge
The executions are repetitive *if you use the same melee weapon throughout the game* so it reveals these "journos" never bothered to properly review the game, they lazily blew through it without exploring the game properly
This game still gives me moments though where you go from a parry of minoris mobs, to then a gun strike, to a parry of a majoris mob, then an execution and it NEVER gets boring. It makes you feel like a bad ass. Which being a space marine should do.
The devs understand who this game is for; the 20-40yr old guy who has little time to play and doesn’t have the patience to focus on a soppy, draw-out Hollywood story. He doesn’t have the time or desire to master an intricate combat system. All he wants to do is chill on the couch, pick up where he left off and blast a carnifex with a heavy bolter and enjoy simple, but addictive combat.
As bad as the review is I will give them one point which is yes, the range combat does feel like it takes a big backseat to the melee just because of how weak a lot of the options are.
I played half an hour of this game and i'm honestly not impressed, especially coming right after god of war ragnarok, in fact i feel they have similar combat in many ways: executes, blue and red circles to indicate when to parry and when to dodge, but damn god of war is much MUCH better, more fun, smoother, even the graphics are better, the combat in warhammer is clunky with some bad animations, shooting feels bad, the graphics are blurry even tho i'm using dlss at native, and the enemy variety is mediocre.
I used my melee a lot. I'd use my weapons to soften down the bigger enemies and kill enemy ranged units. Then, I'd rush in with my power sword or chainsword and kill all of the chaff. If you didn't know already, the power sword has two modes. One that works well on hordes, and one that helps you focus on bigger enemies.
Agree it is an incredibly out of touch ludicrous review. They don’t get it and are not reflective of most players. Over 2 million units sold in less than a month. It is the game of the year competitor. The rating by PC Gamer was outrageous. Good video. Great video.
A thing to keep in mind is that unlike me, who played this game for two hours after work until it was done, our reviewer played it for a full eight hour block for work. That means he can't turn off his brain and enjoy the shooty shooty, he has to keep pausing to take notes. He has to record game play and review it. And because he has a handful of other games to review as well, he can't afford to take to long so he's going to jam it on the easiest difficulty. That is not conductive to an enjoyable experience playing a game. Another problem is that if you're a 40k nerd, you're going to have a great time, but if you're NOT? Take 'Cadia stands', yeah? I hear that, I know what it means, I get hyped. Average Joe hears that, DOESN'T know what it means, and it sounds like a generic battle cry. A lot of Space Marine 2's enjoyment comes from all the little references. If you don't have that, it comes off as generic spaceman shooty game for a lot of it.
I have 200 hours in the game. Melee is the meta. Wait for an attack, parry, gun strike. Repeat until execution. Even with the bolter buff recently, ranged combat on higher dificulties is just ineffective.
In higher difficulties as the heavy i’ve been finding that using the heavy plasma incinerator and splashing groups of enemies, or using the multi melta has been far more useful than my heavy bolter once i learned how to aim. It helps a lot, idk what they’re talking about by saying guns are worthless
Only issue i have is squadding up with the same class, i rather a message telling me that the class is not available on mm than getting with a group with the class unavailable
I'm playing kn ruthless for operations as an assault with a chainsword so I think melee is perfect for engaging even terminus enemies. You know, once you learn how to hold your own in it lol. Its why assault, bulwark, and tactical are my favorite classes. They let me go melee heavy with just enough range to deal with reinforcement calls.
I played the campaign on normal difficulty and relied mostly on melee, you can definitely use ranged as a second option. Even then, I had to use it against any boss and zoen/nuerothropes.
Yes it was fun to melee in the first 2 level. The story is different in level 3 and above cause you don't want to get into melee fight with 10 Hive Warrior Or get jumped by 2 Egyptian terminator while getting swarmed by the grunts, you do want to keep your distance and use the gun on the bigger enemies first.
Great points! Moral of the story. Have someone who WANTS to review the game and put the work in and play it for more than one day, review the game. When I first played this I didn't get it. Second time playing it was the beginning of my youtube feed being flooded by spacemarine content 😂 it's a RIOT to play especially with buddies. The game hits home the fact you are a walking coal train with hyper Lethal instincts and even with just 6 classes to choose from, the longer I play the more depth and tactical game play I find. Personally it's a great game for the blue collar worker with perfect balancing progression when you consider this is only season 2.
Of all Gods, Tzeench is THE Schemer. His whole objective could have been to steal your boots and it would lead to the most complex plan in all of existence
4:13 The parry timing window depends on your Melee weapon's DEFENSE stat. BALANCED = small parry window. BLOCK = unable to parry at all, you will just block FENCING = very generous parry window.
@@breezy3176 generally from what I've seen, Fencing is the best because it leads to easy I-frames, executions, and gunstrikes, which helps your survivability with the latter 2 restoring your armor. This comes at the cost of a Fencing melee weapon having inferior stats compared to a balanced weapon. Block has niche uses against trash mobs and generally promotes spamming basic light and heavy combos which is also helped by Block weapons having improved base stats compared to balanced and fencing, but not really that great because trash mobs can be handled with ranged attacks which puts you at less risk.
I played on angel of death for my playthrough. The only other game where i felt like i had the resistance of a wet piece of paper like in this game was in a cod campaign on the highest difficulty. I actively avoided melee because i would get decimated by minors/majors ganging up on me. Against chaos, executing wasn't a feature for me. I'd get decimated if I wasn't carefully in the back using my bots as meat shields. The only reason i beat it was because they give you a full health reset on death. 10/10 would slay for the emperor again.
The melee point is where they lost me as well. Mix of ranged and melee is such a huge part of this game, it cannot be understated. Headshots become mandatory on any difficulty above the lowest, *especially in Operations*. Even the most melee-focused classes, like Bulwark, need to get comfortable with stuff like landing charged plasma pistol shots to stun enemies calling for reinforcements, Raveners and Lictors jumping battle brothers, and boss fights where you literally have no choice but to play distance. It's a very surface-level understanding of the game (or just the campaign, it looks like), and it's not like they *need* to understand the game very intimately to give it a more complete review. But they could've at least *tried.*
I think Titus is much older than 150 years old, he has four golden studs on his forehead, according to lore thats a hundred years per stud so he is over 400 years old.
The one thing i miss are the lack of servants in the battles. There are amazing artworks of the imperium's fighting frontline littered with adepts serving machines or writing down the events live Look at some of the older edition art how there are titu's flag scene artworks with scribes writing on toilet paper right next to the firing marines
Reviewer: 'the long range weapons seem weak, and the short range ones too' This guy: 'I have never been more baffled' 'I used mid/all range guns at all times, as well as melee' This guy out here just depending fully on confirmation bias 😂
Dunkey’s video about game reviewers is really good. With big companies you don’t know who’s voice you’re hearing so there is no consistency with the reviews.
Correct me if I am wrong but I noticed guns should be used on higher difficulties and in PVP. I noticed that in pvp people use melee as the last resort even melee oriented classes
Certainly for the Tyranids, I find that I'm okay with melee unless the game decides not to give you Majoris enemies. Taking them down and killing the Gaunts with synapse is the way to go. Without those enemies, you'll get overwhelmed so you need to thin them with gun fire.
Busting pure Hormagaunt hordes is entirely doable with the Chainsword and Power Sword if you have a good combo rhythm and use the high-power mode on the latter. Good cleaving and attacks that shove the small fry out of the way so you can stay mobile are key in that situation. It's when you get multiple Nid Warriors AND a horde that things go rapidly out of control if you don't thin 'em out with gunfire and grenades first. Also, gunfire is great for cleaning out spore mines and eliminating small packs of cannonfodder quickly, allowing you to keep moving through the Ops stages quicker and giving the director less opportunities to spawn extra waves on you.

Are you agreeing with the PC gaming review saying guns are pointless? What’s your point?
@@romygutierrez7873this is the complete opposite of the truth.
guns are the only thing you should ever use
Don’t twist my words
@@prophet4722 then explain what your point is
@@romygutierrez7873 The point is these "game" "journalists" can't even play worth shit and have less than zero clue about how the game they're supposed to have reviewed actually works. Thinning out the horde and eliminating priority threads before melee is joined is vital in higher difficulties. If you're a good player? You can handle a horde in melee. You can handle two or three major enemies in melee. You can't do both at the same time or more than 3 major enemies.
Imo it just makes the combat feel more smooth, because the hack and slash is broken up occasionally with an awesome cinematic move that just makes you feel cool (which is exactly what a game about being a space marine should feel like)
I stopped reading PC Gamer when one of their editors wrote about how uncomfortable killing Soviet spies in Black Ops Cold War made him.

Pc gamer here. Game is incredible, love it, but the connection issues are insane. Can play with randoms since last patch, but cant play with my friends, wtf
Agreed it deserves an 8/10
Very strange. I've played with a friend last night without any problems, but I see many streamers having problems with playing together
@@slowbowz6383same , on xbox connections issues are rare, maybe it's more on PC , or maybe it's random.
I had issues connecting with friends on ps5 for the first couple weeks but after the last patch I haven't had any issues. I will say that turning off crossplay really helped my connectivity issues. So if you're friends are all on the same platform Id just turn it off
It seem it’s really universal then cause I see that happened everywhere, I say it’s anothe woke action to make it be like that
IGN gave concord a 7/10 who literally lasted only 2 weeks before servers shutdown due to failure
in fact concord deserves a 1/10 and a 2/10 would be fanboying
I mean i heard that it actually cost Sony more by keeping the game running
@@Russia_lion17the game costed 400 million so yeah
Wym 1 out of 10. I’d say .5/10

They indeed aren't gamers, they journalists - well, bad journalists because writing reviews for the games is seen as low journalism, compared to more elite branches like movie reviews (even though games make much more money that movie for a while now and have larger fanbase, but journalist industry failed to keep up with things)
so we have loser journalists who may not hate the games (although its debatable) but they hate their position and dream of writing about something more prestigious.
And they may be actually relaxed casual players in some visual-centered bs, but none of them actually gamers in hobbyist sense of the word
so of course reviews look like they come from another planet, where shit receive good ratings for political reasons and universally loved games receive low ratings because journo bros can't play not extremely casual games that don't pull their hand all the time, or hate the genre but somehow didn't gave review to some of their collegues who like that genre (but they all love open world Witcher 3 bad clones and hate Dark Souls or any complex game at all so they have to authors to write reviews about such games)
And he recieved a good amouth of money from woke corpo to writte that.
The campaign is fun with friends, no wonder the reviewer was bored so quickly…. He has no friends
his pronouns are whiny/bitch please dont be a bigot
"Long range battle is largely pointless."
"Close range guns have little use either."
While the FACT is, most people is complaining that assault class is underpowered. And the melta weapon and rifle grenade bolter are the meta build.
Space marine 2 made $202 million in it's first week. How much money would a 70 out of 100 make? 🤣😂
202 mil? Are you mentally impaired or something?
How much gollum have made vs what it costed
Does anybody actually listen to mainstream reviewers anymore? They were bought and paid for by the industry years ago, this is no secret. I haven’t used them in like maybe 15 years
So by that token Saber paid every other outlet to get good reviews?
You can perry any attack that isn't red, so many people seem to think its just the ones with blue indicators, presumably because reading the tutorial tip is hard. Basic, rule small guys leave the ground, hit perry. Big guy pulls his arm back, hit perry. The perry system isnt great but its not as busted as some people seem to think.
Perry The Platopus?!
ah yes perries
Parry saves lives in ruthless
"You cant do melee only"
*Laughs in Bulwark*

So worse than Gollum? The worst game of the year, a game so bad that the studio had to come out an apologise for it😂
Just in general, whenever you see a major review company puts out a review of something. 99% chance that the review is absolute dog shit.
@@butcherjsy8yeah, they don't have any woke stuff in the grim dark future where there is only war

And you fuck over fodder hordes aroundyou when you do it against major Tyranids.
Normal difficulty was definitely too hard for them lol

Well said, the review for this game was so annoying. Even more irritating was their review or Forbidden West on PC. The reviewer seemed to genuinely hate that type of game and the score they gave was criminal
Respect to them for sticking it to open world collectathons. Wish they were more consistent with that. Any game that can't push you in the right direction without 2D symbols popping up in your face has failed.
Yeah wierd. Forbidden west is breathtaking.
they just keep falling out. from IGN to Kotaku

no titus kissing gadriel… so yeah 6/10
no naked showering while fingering each others buttholes 60/100
The PCgamer review is a hit piece. I think that whoever wrote it is worried that games will go back to catering to the audience that is willing to buy authentic games en masse.
Even ignoring PC gamers questionable track record, people in general seem to hate Space Marine because it's a simple and fun horde hack & slash with shooting and nobody seems to understand we don't need bloated systems for that. I've seen people absolutely it over how the game is simple to play and how a game that isn't even a month old only has Cosmetics for DLC. People in general need to chill out.
Nah, more like it’s not a woke trashcan
So any game about masculinity, honor, following your duty, and that is more important with no "message" is now bad game? Fun time to live.
If the Space Marine was a black Lesbian, with breast removal scars, with mechanical strap-on, a portrait of Hillary Clinton on the breastplate armour and from the "reparations guild", then Space Marine 2 would have receive 10/10 from game reviewers.
With a war cry of "STUNNING AND BRAVE!".
unnecessary and ignorant
That’s why sales numbers and customer reviews tend to speak louder than so called journos.
the studs on Titus head tell he has served for over 400 years because they are golden in color

I mean I could see this being a 7, but not a 6.
It has pacing issues, the notification for taking damage doesn't have enough impact leaving pvp feeling half baked and they need to allow cross play in ALL modes.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game but I do have two big criticisms:
Anyone???
Send a letter to Sony and compain about that to them
Get that Xbox quick resume. Most underrated feature in any console imo
PC master race
Anybody saying that the load times aren't an issue needs to share whatever they're smoking, because they are bad. My PC is a 14700k, 4080Super, with an NVME drive, and the fact is that my PC can load a map in DCS in the time it takes to load an operation in SM2 without the connection issues. A 3rd-person shooter should not have load times comparable to a flight sim with maps that can be upwards of 60GB.
@@Freakylittlethingy I'm on PC and loading times are bit longer than usual
The journalists are just that journalists not gamers and that's why they are out of touch
Honestly if they actually hired experienced gamers to do the journalism there might actually be a review worth reading
This product is a masterpiece and the most fun I've had with my friends in co-op in years. Just enjoy it for what it is.
Close range weapons are not of any use? Really? Right in front of my multi-melta?
Playing on easy: This executions a getting repetative...
Playing on veteran: Holy Terra! Execution! Thanks Emperor! I can regain some of my armor and chill for 1 second...
A tip for melee combat, my goal is to parry and swing away while I'm waiting to be attacked. You can interrupt anything you are doing at any time with a parry and don't look at the little guys as you're hacking away, stare at the warriors and survey for ranged attacks.
Honestly, the biggest sm2 flaw - as far as I'm concerned - is the overused trope of "aliens are the enemy.. but wait, chaos is behind it all!"
Still does it pretty well.
Its more that chaos is a second enemy alongside terminids because they fight each other as well
So remember how we got criticized for saying a game sucks with "This game wasn't made for you!" Jargon?
Well, this game isn't made for them.
PC gamer here. Game have no issue at all while i play but sometimes it might be a little bit laggy but for the rest it was fun as hell
04:20 the reason of weird window thinghy is because of each melee weapon from knife to hammer, have different attributes.
each have its own ups and down, including how much window you have to parry and dodge
Probably bcuz the developers said just fuck DEI politics
We‘re supposed to kill bosses in ranged combat? I‘ve just been darksouls-ing them with a powersword.
The executions are repetitive *if you use the same melee weapon throughout the game* so it reveals these "journos" never bothered to properly review the game, they lazily blew through it without exploring the game properly
This.
PC Gamer is approaching IGN levels of lolcow-ness
They need to get the reviews out as fast as possible, so they speedrun on easiest difficulty and don't really engage with the deeper mechanics.
Clip=🙅🏼♂️
Magazine=🙌🏻👍🏻
15:00 what you said here IS the reason for the lower review. Remember that to activist journalists "silence is violence" .
I used my melee a lot. I'd use my weapons to soften down the bigger enemies and kill enemy ranged units. Then, I'd rush in with my power sword or chainsword and kill all of the chaff. If you didn't know already, the power sword has two modes. One that works well on hordes, and one that helps you focus on bigger enemies.
if they fix the dumbfcking server, this game is perfect
Agree it is an incredibly out of touch ludicrous review. They don’t get it and are not reflective of most players. Over 2 million units sold in less than a month. It is the game of the year competitor. The rating by PC Gamer was outrageous. Good video. Great video.
tip for the new players the parry has different variations Block, not be able to parry. Balance, time is key to parry. Fencing, parry window is longer
In Space Marine II Titus is at least 400 years old. You can tell this from the four metal pips on his forehead.
After that reviewer was unable to jump in cuphead... I left mainstream game journalists behind.
its only issue is optimization which is apparently being revamped by december with the addition of FSR3
Space Marines 2 is absolutely amazing. My GOTY and second place isn’t even close.
Only issue i have is squadding up with the same class, i rather a message telling me that the class is not available on mm than getting with a group with the class unavailable
Even as someone who plays this on the easiest difficulty saying that ”ranged options are useless” is so wrong.
Titus age : 200+ ❌ (Based on the service studs on his head)
: 150+ ✅
every "game reviewer" is basically industry butt buddy advertisement not actual consumer advocacy and reviews.
Sometimes wonder if these companies put out intentionally contrarian reviews just to get publicity.
1 month later and it would appear the critics have made zero difference to sales and peoples ongoing enjoyment of the game. For the Emperor!
Online ruined it for me constantly disconnecting getting matched with people worse than the ai.
One complaint I have is that you got 6 classes to level up, but not enough content so it gets repetitive concerning PVE
4:13
The parry timing window depends on your Melee weapon's DEFENSE stat.
BALANCED = small parry window.
BLOCK = unable to parry at all, you will just block
FENCING = very generous parry window.
Is chainsword fencing? Chainsword is my favorite, then power sword, then the hammer, then probably I like the combat knife the least
Does it say that in game I only seen people say use fencing and was confused partly why they said it
@BlueFusion2910 with upgrading your weapons any of the melees can have fencing at least in pve
@@BlueFusion2910chainsword isn't specifically fencing. But there is a fencing version of it.

Lol, in less than a minute, I think you summed up why no-one wastes time with 'gaming' journalism.
As a heavy player, i use exclusively guns. If you see me swinging my gun around, im not having a good time!
The problem is PC Gamer is secretly playing on Console instead of PC.
There are amazing artworks of the imperium's fighting frontline littered with adepts serving machines or writing down the events live
Look at some of the older edition art how there are titu's flag scene artworks with scribes writing on toilet paper right next to the firing marines

I let the players speak on behalf of reviewers and never let any high end magazines like pc mag influence me.
To be fair, in operation, three of the classes pretty much revolve around melee, especially after patch
Also, gunfire is great for cleaning out spore mines and eliminating small packs of cannonfodder quickly, allowing you to keep moving through the Ops stages quicker and giving the director less opportunities to spawn extra waves on you.
companies reviewers are more journous than gamers, they usually play in easy to get finish the zoonest. Is best to see youtubers opinions like this video to get a better impresion of any game than looking company review that may have only like 2 or 3 good reviewers with experience.
