These DIY kitchen organization ideas can give you some great home storage in your kitchen cabinets. Under the sink storage is always a mess and building pull out trays helps keep everything organized. Cookie sheet and cutting board storage can be difficult, but adding sliding dividers and adjustable shelving is great for keeping things tidy. And tupperware storage is always a concern. Having pegboard plastic container storage makes for some easy kitchen storage configurations to fit whatever you need it to.

😂
Can you do a follow up on this showing us how to get everyone else to put the tupperware back in the correct spots?
Impossible
LOL! So true! ...unfortunately
I have to work on getting it out of my daughters rooms and lunch bags first.
Truth😂
😂
Hahaha...I love how you think dividing the Tupperware cabinet will keep them organized. I used to be optimistic too!
I love this comment. So true
LOL, that's a truth bomb there!
Love the comment and you’re handle. I too am a fat guy in a little shop! Lol!
@@StlouisEman if you're handle is actual I dont live to far from you. I live down in Southeast Missouri, west of the bootheel.
Fat Guy In A Little Shop nice! Yup just outside the city limits in south county
That under the sink storage unit, I'm thinking that is going to make plumbing repairs really complicated later. I've had to fix/replace drains and hoses too many times. Also, sometimes you need to inspect to be sure nothing has sprung a drip or two. I'd make the back of that mostly open for easier viewing and access later. You don't need a solid piece all the way across you could do it with two 2inch pieces top and bottom and still be sufficiently sturdy.
I made the two drawers on the right side and left the left side in small tubs that can be pulled out easily .... but the other two drawers are extremely easy to keep everything in them and pull out when needed. :)
I was thinking... when he needs to reset his garbage disposal, that's going to be a pain in the butt. Lol
He could have put the shelves on sliders so they could be easily moved out of the way. Just a thought
Same thoughts. That's going to be a nightmare if there's ever a link or burst.
what a beautiful shop! It never hurts to have all the tools you need and the space to do it.
"A place for everything and everything in it's place" was an often repeated saying of my very organized Grandmother. Hearing it brings back fond memories of her. 💓
I was surprised to see that your channel had less than 1 million subscribers. Your Videos have given me hours of both entertainment and Education. I hope that this channel gets the recognition it deserves.
Not any more, this is 11 months later and he has 1.2 Million subscribers. I love watching his videos.
Cool projects. Be sure you have lots of confidence in your plumbing under the sink if you choose to box off the visual to the fittings/floor. I'm more a fan of the right side with slide out drawers.
My wife said the same thing, we had a leak a few months back 🗿🗿
That was my first thought when he screwed the left side in.
Brad, you're the man! I have learned so much from you. I will definitely be doing this for my wife. She will love it! Keep up the good work!
I just wanted to say that I had an original particle board drawer in my kitchen that broke for the third time and regluing it or brackets would not keep it together any more. So I built a drawer out of plywood. I took careful measurements off the old drawer, used the original glides, AND IT WAS PERFECT! Slid in like it was greased.
So doing these kinds of things is not out of the reach of someone with very, very basic skills.
Excellent work 👍
Tape and fill is brilliant!
OMG. Every one of those projects would be valuable in a tiny home.
We only have 3 cleaners under our kitchen sink 😂😂😂
Nice job on the pullouts!!
I have to say that under sink arrangement is pure awesomeness!
I like the way you fix this and build that. Cool man
By the way, this was a brilliant project. I just did the same, using scrap for everything, although I did have to buy the rails. A few weeks ago, someone threw out the slats from their bed. I used those for the frames. My wife loves the results.
This is a stopgap, because I'm going to build all new cabinets over the winter and then redo the kitchen top to bottom next spring/summer. Your channel has been great for ideas and instruction.
Lmao!! At 5:55 I was measuring the inside of my drawer when he said. You're probably using a tape measure aren't you? I looked up at my phone. for some reason thinking I was being watched 😂😂😂😂
Hey Brad, one more idea, install one of those under cabinet drawers that open at the floor for things like racks and cookie sheets. Would love to see one of those projects too. Nothing hard but you want as much storage as you can get, right? Easy and wasted if you don't use it.
You are an excellent communicator. Not a single “what I’m going to do next” statements. Thank you for the video.
I'd love $5 for everytime he says I.
Brad my favorite was the "how my kids do it" oh my almost spit out my Red Bull. I have been thinking about those for ever. Time to do it!!!
Both your videos were really nice, your wife is lucky to have you help her. Love the ideas👍👍💕😃😃
Chamfer the bottom edges of drawers. Brilliant! Coulda used this idea three years ago for a bathroom vanity cabinet project.
Thank you for the great ideas! Used the cabinet drawers under my bathroom sink. Huge help!
These are genius man! I especially like the under the sink one. Thanks for the ideas Brad!
You bet, dude! 💪
When I did mine a few years ago, I took the added step of rotating the disposal and re-routing the pipes to increase usable space under the sink. Some plumbers installation is based on their convenience and not on avoiding wasting space.
Man I just put my disposal in last week. Literally took a single 90⁰ turn to get another 8 inches of useable space
I just built new cabinetry for my camper, and being the plumber, as well, I took great pains to be a space conscious as possible, to get as much of the drain piping way agains the back wall. It helped us gain a lot of space under there for such a tiny kitchen.
If you pay close attention to the before video and when I install it you'll see I actually did that. Added a 90 degree fitting to the wall and to disposal for the electric. Just didn't want to open that can of worms on the vid 👍👍
Looks great! I totally relate to your Tupperware frustrations!
This is the most useful kitchen storage DIY videos. I need to do this too. But without a table saw.
Great tutorial. I LOVE the humor - I’m still laughing! Your workshop is AMAZING! Thanks for all the info!
Thank you! I have found my next kitchen mini project.
Amazing!! 😍 I have to try this at home
Best video by far!!! Rich on ideas, you provide the info to buy the materials very well. Thanks so much
i made that same cabinet divider for my cooking trays from the handyman magazine. i just finished it yesterday!
it was such a great idea
Yes! And sneaking a shelf above it made it even better 👍
Really creative ideas!I love the Tupperware pegboard. I may have to try that out.
Brad...that's just the best name for a woodworker. That's as good as Mike for a radio operator, or Chuck for a machinist, or Roger for a pilot, or Jimmy for a car thief, or Mark for a sniper. Some good ideas in this project, thanks & cheers! - C
This is the best kitchen cabinet video i have every seen!
- Wonderfully practical & convenient use of space. Thanx 4 sharing.
I love these storage solutions!!!
Pretty fantastic work, Brad! Looks MUCH better! 😃
I showed your video to my mother... And I guess I'm going to have to build something like that for her soon as well. 😬
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks, you too!
Love it. You make it look so easy
I have a kitchen demo and remodel looming. All of your kitchen organization tips will be on my to-do list.
Amazing! Great ideas. Thank you.
Love these! Thank you!
That was a great video. I love being organised and these projects are great to learn from, thank you very much. Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks!
Good video. I especially like the Tupperware drawer.
Love! Love! Love this!
Great work Brad! I have been needing to do one of those projects for quite some time now. However, since the wife has not pestered me about it, I am just going to keep putting it off for as long as possible! 😂😂😂😂
Awesome work Brad! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Going to build that pull out for our Tupperware- thank you for a great video
Beautiful! Nice job.
I think I chose the wrong trade....... I'm very impressed by your ideas 💡 👌
Great videos, but so funny to think I'd have to spend a fortune setting up an entire wood workshop to make a few changes 😂😂
Great vid! But can we talk about how clean that mullion strip transition was, damn that was sweet !
This is a very through video. Solid presentation. Keep up the awesome work.
Diet Mt Dew has helped me get through many a projects 🙌
Thanks for the video.. much appreciated!
Really GREAT projects! I need all of those in my kitchen. Wish I was as handy as you. 😏
Awesome ideas¡!
.looking forward to trying some for my self
Something that would really help is seeing how you make things with out all the special tools -
so maybe you could do a video without all those tools ??
omg, i love the tupper there idea!!!!!
Nice work on the organization Brad! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍👌😎JP
Agreeing with several comments below about the left side of the under-sink. This will be a pain if you need to get to the plumbing, particularly as you fixed that down before installing the right hand side. A removable shelf set would be recommended. So, the assembly would need to be able to fit back out the door opening. For stability, you could try a base that extends past the insert to the back of the cabinet (and if necessary, a piece of wood screwed to the back of the cabinet so the assembly cannot tip forwards, so the base is prevented from going off the floor of the cabinet). In effect, making a removable shelf assembly. Otherwise, nice job, especially the pull outs on the right hand side.
I love these!
You make it look so easy. These projects turned out great! Impressive!
We just need to improvise without all that room & equipment. Too easy LOL 😀
you the man. brod thanks
As always a fantastic video with tons of ideas and information. Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Space saver siphon would have been a good start to have much more room.
Thanks for sharing
love the organization tips
That was really , really good! A pleasure to watch.
Thanks matey

England
Awesome! And your small vacuum cleaner looks like Rocinante from The Expanse.
I need to get around to making pull out trays for my kitchen. Small kitchen and a wife that loves to cook means lots of pots and pans
Thanks for sharing
mindblown!
Thank you Brad, this works! Now come on over to my place and we'll do a team remodel and a have a feast!
I'm in if there's BBQ! 💪 💪
@@Fixthisbuildthat I make really good ribs!!
subbed.. love it.. hopefully you punch past that 1M mark soon!
Very nice and cool thanks for the info and now found a new project to do
the wood dropping trick really works!!
:)
Omg you r a genius, wish u were my neighbor, n i could hire you to do all these neat things. You make it look so easy, n it probably is for you. Tyfs
What great ideas for the kitchen...
I by no means am a build anything person, but I do love watching you. Really good instruction, a bit of humor and good tips. I love all the tools you demonstrate too. Any job is easier with the right tool. Not that I'm ever going to buy all those, but the ideas are great for when I can hire someone to "build that" for me. However, I have to say, calling all plastic storage containers Tupperware is like calling your refrigerator a Frigidaire or a facial tissue Kleenex. Tupperware, Frigidaire and Kleenex are brand names, not descriptors. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine. You do you.
Clever!
Heavenly tools on skill full man ...
Great job!
Thanks, Woodcraft for sponsoring Uncle Brad!
I need to do a couple of these.
I’ll start saving up for an iron and once I win the lottery I can get the rest of those tools and supplies and then a year or so of practice and I should be ready to do this project. Your projects turned out great. Good job.
The thing I like best is that you separated or segmented the area underneath the sink so that nothing can go beyond where you can find it. Nobody likes reaching back there were on the pipes and wires are anyway. I might have to do that. The best I’d come up with is just to keep things in those plastic wash basins and not have anything actually sitting on the floor of the cabinet, but actually having a “wall” to keep anything from getting past it is WAY better. Thanks for the idea and “how to”!
Accuride actually recommends 1-1/16" spacing for drawer slides, it makes them less likely to be difficult to open and close.
6:44 - can be made even more convenient by making the right door sliding forward (fix it on the bottom tray)
Great ideas
I love the me nails joke so much. It genuinely makes me laugh every time.
Good Job Handy man ......
This is gonna be my first project in a week or two and the pegboard addition will help immensely, but I’m gonna use it for pots and pans in an opening about the same size as your Tupperware drawer. I’ll buy pegboard however. No CNC yet.
Great projects, Brad. I'll have to try them for our kitchen. I was considering changing out the hinges to allow the doors to open farther and using undermount sides to allow for wider drawers. I'm not sure but still thinking about it. Take care.
Bill
Yeah, you'll gain a little extra room that way
"Attacking the bane of every kitchen, the Tupperware." LoL! You ain't lying. No matter how much I teach the kids to "Stack Like Items" the just don't get it. LoL! Also, is it wrong that I recognize the Chinese take out containers in there? Hahaha! Dude, this is a great video and such an inspiration to do my kitchen. Thank you.
have you ever tried laying an ironing board down like a ramp so you have a comfy support for your back when working under a cabenet
13:15-Ive had my small ryobi table saw for over 10 years, and yesterday i realized that “funny design” on the side is a push stick screwed to the table saw!

Just watching this video made me stop everything I was doing (work) and clean and just organize some of my cabinets. Next is some shelf building in certain spots.
Nice the work is worthy
Cool
Great video with lots of good suggestions.
Glad it was helpful!
Great work
