- Darksiders came out a while ago, and if you're like us, you've forgotten what happened in the story so far. We've collected all the cut scenes so you can get caught up before Darksiders II comes out.
In Part 1, we follow War, a horseman of the Apocalypse, as he sets out to find the one who summoned him.

I've never been so pumped for the end of a game as this one....such a epic scene the
3 other horseman entering like that was badass!
I keep back from time to time to rewatch the scene where War gets judged by the Council...the dialogue, the soundtrack...Magnificent!

War (like Death, Fury and Strife) is a nephilim, a half angel and half demon race that originates from Absalom who was created when Lilith mixed the ashes of demons and angels together. Absalom was a "perfect" creation but nearly all the nephilim who came after were made by other nephilim I believe and were imperfect, hence why they look different. War is more angel than demon and so looks more angelic than Death, Fury and strife.
Uh, isn't ABSALOM a murdered son of David the King(Humans)?

Wars Signature sword (Chasoeater) is carried round with him at all times where as Death's signature scythe (Souleater) is only acquired whiles in his Wrath or "Reaper" form.

Such a good fucking game. I never even finished it smh, it was dope, the story, the puzzles, the fighting. So underrated I can't believe I played it back on PS3, I'm about to get it on PC and play it at 4K 120 FPS for real.
Yea, I definitely recommend them. I bought them both on the steam sale and I'm half way through the first one and love it - I'd even go as to say it's my favourite action adventure game of all time, better than the likes of Devil May Cry and God of War. It's challenging but not frustrating, violent but not repetitive and it's long, the kind of long that you don't want to end.
Man, we really made some cool games. Feels like ages ago now.

The company that made the game died out, which is THQ software sadly
Daemon Prince Nordic Games bought the rights to DS, thats why we got Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition for example. They also said, they're gonna make a DS 3, just aren't sure *how* they wanna do it yet.
Of course you should buy it. Buy both games. They are GREAT. Absolute masterpieces.

Imagine how good and detailed this game could look in the 2020 era of gaming... Oh my god I would lose my mind!!!! It could have CONTROL type of Detail and/or use that new destruction system in the UNREAL ENGINE that got unveiled some months ago. It could look so real (at least compared to how it did back then)
darksider II is probably gonna be the best of this series

Am I the only one who finds it strange to see someone as bulky as War hover around with such thin wings?
they are magical wings ı guess ? what about the flame horse appearing out of nowhere when you press a button ? yeah the hell,heaven armies,Horsemans and shit a guy named War a guy named Death ım not suprised that those wings can carry War. What ım wandering is why war cant fly with those wings he should be.

I've heard them saying they would like to make the 3rd one a 4 player co-op of all four horsemen, facing the Charred Council.

I've only been playing DarkSiders 2 so I suggest that one. The combat is a lot more dynamic, the world/atmosphere of the game is great and there's a lot of clever puzzles and epic bosses.
If you end up getting DarkSiders 2 for PC and have weird glitches/bugs then the way to fix it is to reduce your graphic resolution and turn on vertical sync. I don't know why that works, but it will save you much rage :P
Oh and btw: No, I don't think that there will be another special edition or some kind of bundle where they pack Drs1 and Drs2 in one package, named - for example - "Darksiders Collection". Like The God Of War Collection and God Of War Origins Collection (also called Collection Volume 2).
No, I really don't think that something like this will be released. Heck, even the artbook of Darksiders 2 isn't even out yet.

When I played this, I couldn't think of anything else but of Gaara from Naruto since Liem O'Brien used his Gaara voice for War.

Stanna So because i mentioned an english dub voice that makes me special? And that also means that I don't like watching subbed at all then? You assume waaaaay too much.
You mean "Gai", right? :) I wasn't assuming anything, but for me it's common sense to try and watch it subbed, in the original language when possible. Also it should be quite easy now, unlike like 15 years ago when you had to scour the depths of the internet for that one low-quality version of .rmvb of Rurouni Kenshin that was in Japanese and with a sub. It also feels like a lot of the older anime had really low budget casts for voice acting and the discrepancy in quality between the two versions is immense in many cases. With Naurto, about... Wow, 13 years ago? After seeing most of the original series in Japanese (with subs), I saw one episode in English and was appalled. It was so bad I just cringed through the whole damn episode.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great vice actors for English, look at Steve Blum (Wolverine), Mark Hamill, Troy Baker, Keith Szarabajka (Crowfather), Mako Iwamatsu (the original General Iroh), Mike Patton (Darkness) and the list could go on for ages... But quite often it's ridiculous to try and translate things, not only that, but some voice actors can't truly be imitated, for example Norio Wakamoto (Alexander Anderson). The people who've seen the Hellsing Ultimate in Japanese, they know what I'm talking about :D
So in short, War is youngest and first to arrive to earth after 7th seal is broken(if you read the comic your'll get most of this)he is like a war hound with rabies on a leash, when he got "loose" one time only 2 entities who could bring him down were god,aka Creator and other 3 horseman, Fury,Death&Strife. Angel of Death,Abaddon and the Ancient One broke 6 of 7 seals and restored them to summon demons upon earth to defeat them in choke point, but for Charred Council that is treason so them made

GOOD NEWS! Darksiders 3 was recently announced with a trailer. there is hope for Darksiders 4 and Darksiders 5. (If game sales are good. you people better buy as many copys as you can instead of flocking to a mainstream game or I'll unleash the real apocalypse)

Story behind War is that he is master of single combat, no creature(except Creator) can stand and win against him alone, he could storm the both the gates of White City and the Black Gates and emerge victorious, when all 4 horseman unite, they are invincible(yep still creator is stronger ): )

i just recently got the sword chaoseater from united cutlery it cost but totally worth it and the darksiders games were amazing
seriously why would anyone dislike this, they're just cut scenes, CUT SCENES!! People are so stupid these days.
that and if you listen in darksiders 1 there is a cutscene where you find out that the charred council made it to where war was summoned and not the others to do basically what they want to do there dirty work and then when he was done would then sentence war to death or something for starting the apocolypse

You're right, there is hope after all. Vigil can simply publish their game with the "help" of another company. It would be sad if the series won't have at least a 3rd game :(.
Strife will be the next playable character. I'm 80% sure. Because in Darksiders 1 War could use a scythe as an extra weapon, then BAM Death is the next character, and he uses a scythe. In Darksiders 2 Death gets Strife's gun, so i have a feeling it's a hint that Strife is next.

A bit confused about some parts, perhaps someone can clear some things up:
1. Why did the Council lie to War if it was mainly Abbadon's betrayal? They had nothing to hide.
2. Why did the Council even restrain War's power? They knew what was happening and that he was innocent. Making him weaker would only reduce the chance of him succeeding.
3. It wasn't specified, but it _was_ the Council that created the Seven Seals, right? Heaven and Hell were the entities who started the wars, so it would be pointless for them to decide when the End War would begin, they'd just start it whenever the fuck they'd want it and they'd just start destroying everything again. If it wasn't the Council who created the seals, then who did? And if it really was the Council, then why did they leave it to Heaven to break the seals? Shouldn't it have been the Council?
1. They probably wanted to just blame him to not look stupid. and were blackmailing him to find who really caused the war on Earth or else they'd punish War.
2. same as 1.
3. the Council didn't let anyone decide. Abbadon did it by his own accord because he wanted to wipe out the demons and forces of the underworld. Did you even play the game?
gamerprince1999 It just seems strange to me that Abbadon managed to take the Seventh Seal so easily. The Four Horsemen are so powerful that they're feared by the armies of both Heaven and Hell, and the seals are extremely important, so you'd think that the seals would be well guarded. Yet it's never explained, he just somehow managed to take it.

Well, i know that has been some time since you upload this coment but i will try to answer anyway.
1. They lied to war because he was the most honorable to the council from the four horsemen and because of that the most easy of the four to carry out their revenge against the demons and Abbadon.
2. They restrain war power so that the Watcher could restrain war with easiness and carry out the council will.And they knew that war was capable of killing the destroyer even with half of the power.
3. Yes, the council created the seven seals. But they hid the seals throughout the worlds to avoid their destruction. However Abaddon and the angel of death found out the seven seals location, stole them and destroy them with the help of Ulthane with the exception of the last seal, that would give the horsemen freedom from the streams of the council. That is the reason why war go down alone and was betrayed by the council.
War and Illidan have same voice, same voice actor.

Well. Chaos eater is far from close to Frostmourne except both being 2 handed swords. Chaos eater is A LOT wider and longer with several screaming faces on it. And it is black and "steel" colored. Frost mourne is covered in blue glowing runes and a sawed edge and considerbly different in shape. And FM only have a single face/skull which is a goat skull at the handle. White hair and blue-ish eyes is bascily the same. But if anyone War is like Illidan since they have the same voice actor :)
In the Darksiders universe, they are called Strife and Fury, they're signature weapons are the pistol (Strife) and whip (Fury), also Fury is female. Just google "Darksiders Strife" and "Darksiders Fury" to see images of them.
Uh, Famine and Pestilence?
As long as you understand what's happening, you will see that the ending to Darksiders 1 is one of the most badass endings for a video game.

Vigil Games should try to pick up the rights to the Legacy of Kain. It saddens me that there hasn't been a LoK game in years and that the only one in the works is a f2p team based game. I loved the rich and dark history in the Legacy of Kain games. His rise to power and inevitable defeat at a monster of his own creation, Raziel. Raziel is also one of the most badass anti-heroes of all time and that voice.. Ooooh baby.
War is like a crossing between Arthas and a space marine to me :P
The "Harvester" is featured in Darksiders II. Death uses it while in his "Reaper Form"

Vigil wasn't bought when THQ sold ff their developers & IPs, however Platinum Games is interested in buying the Darksiders IP, for the right price. Until then its still up in the air whether or not there will be anymore Darksiders games.
So Ready for darksiders 3, either Pestilence or Famine, Pestilence is my personel favorite of the horsemen, His bow could be used very effectively, and have a Tiny knife as melee maybe xD,
death is the oldest brother as war is the youngest. war is more of a hot shot and loves to fight and go in head first as death is more calm and logical and thinks before he dose anything as for war who docent making him the easier to manipulate which the counselors do.
