Always wondered what colour was shown on the V5 for that multi-coloured Polo @7:06. PS. Glad you like that Vauxhall Royale @8:48. I had one in black with gold interior. Very comfortable.
Hi - thanks for watching. I'd guess 'multicoloured' re the Polo. I have seen that as an entry on a V5 before although for the life of me I can't remember which car it was 🤣 Very fond of Vauxhall from that era - I had an Opel Monza back in the day when they were just cheap old cars - how much do I wish I'd kept that 🙄
The Yugo Sana was badged as a Yugo Florida over here in Germany. In my old hometown were I was growing up we even had a small Yugo dealership. I can remember about the Yugo Florida and the Yugo 45. When the dealership had to change brands due to the war in Yugoslavia then he changed to Daewoo which was an impact. The Daewoos did sell pretty good - unlike the Yugos. Hillman Avenger - very nice car! I've seen only one but at least in this year. But it was the saloon, not the estate. Aston Martin DB7, also very nice! And someone brought your Rover to there, too, lol The Audi A4 is really looking very clean. I like them a lot. Had once the chance to drive one at work but unfortunately only for a week. Yep, the VW Polo saloon was previously the VW Derby when it had the square headlamps (but some people do also swap the lights on the Derby to the round Polo lights - as the rims were from the VW Golf Mk3 so you never know what else was changed on the Derby, hehe). Very interesting to see the Audi 80 from Fürstenfeldbruck - he had to drive for quite a while because that is around Munich. These 2-door saloons are also pretty rare but also higher in prices because there are some people cutting them in the middle to build the Audi Sport Quattro (the short one had the 2-door saloon's front end - it is a bit different to the Coupé/Quattro). Noticing it is also a 5S - so a 5 cylinder. These are more loved compared to the 4 doors with 4 cylinders. Ed's Auto Reviews - seems like there was another RUclipsr, hehe. Oh wow the Datsun! And the VW Polo Harlekin - I can remember about them. A few were sold in my area. Really very fancy. This one even still has the original alloys. I like these old Mazda 323 F with the popup headlamps. These were also sold pretty well in my hometown. I always wanted to have one. But at the end I had the previous generation Type BF. The German Passat also came from Fürstenfeldbruck (FFB) like the Audi 80. I bet these guys do know each other. Oh and just when I typed it - yes it is. The guy was talking behind you to someone else "Yes, that's my friend's 80 2-door", hehe. Lovely XJ! And the Vauxhall Omega is also very nice - although I like more the pre-facelift of the Omega B. These were smooth rides. The dad of a good friend had one for very long time. I can't remember when I've seen the last time a Nissan Prairie. Super rare! Not a car everyone is looking for but it is rare, now. Beautiful Vauxhall Royale. Here we called them Opel Senator. I like these cars a lot. But nowadays also very rare. Opel wasn't having too good rust protection back then. Very typical with the blue velour seats. So many great cars ... jaw dropping! Oh and I spotted a Daewoo Leganza. I can remember I almost bought one many many years ago. The british racing green on the Jaguar XJS is also looking nice. But the golden Ford Granada - super wow!
Thanks Sven, and glad you're enjoying the show. Has been a bit slow on the views so maybe not everyone likes - but I'd prefer 50 people to watch and really enjoy than 500 who just flick through. Few more parts to go
@@OldCarsNewVan Assuming currently are also some people on vacation. During summer I usually also suffer from low views. On the other hand it seems to be also RUclips about recommending our videos on other videos on the side. So for example the last series of 8 parts from Classics of Coffee what I filmed in July. The first part got more than 800 views and the seventh part not even 50 views. I can notice a big amount of non-subscribers are watching my videos. So with the time some subscribers will also just not watching anymore by becoming inactive, or worse they die or getting suspended for using copyrighted music. I hardly gain new subscribers. But I can tell you it is a hobby and do what you like and don't put low views to much too your heart. Sometimes the thumbnail is also the matter for people whether to click at them or not. It happened to me that I didn't watch a video probably because I've not recognized it in the subscription center because later I find it anyway. About my videos I got already someone who told me maybe trying to film in German instead of English will help. But then I am knowing the next person will say no blabla - you can't create the perfect videos for RUclips because every viewer is different.
Although some people are calling these modern cars but these also have disappeared a lot on the daily traffic - at least here in Germany. When seeing the Hyundai then I am just noticing that I've not yet seen any Korean retro classic car (20+ y/o) over here on such meetings. I can remember Hyundai had a wonderful looking S-Coupé which looked kind of a shrinked Ford Mustang fox body. It was based on the Hyunday Pony X2. Back in the old days I've actually seen it quite some times. I just checked if these are still around but only one from 1995 for almost €10,000 - I didn't expect that. But I also love to check for some cars which randomly spot on my mind like right now when seeing this Hyundai (assuming it's an Elantra) Citroen LNA - haven't seen one in ages. In last year I've seen two Talbot Samba convertibles - it' shared the same platform as also the Peugeot 104 but the Talbot was looking more modern (it also appeared later as I read on Wikipedia). A long time friend owned a Peugeot 104 as his first car - he told me these cars were terrible rust buckets. Driving nice but the rust ... so when there's still one like this LNA then it is really super rare. And although people are probably looking more for a 2CV, CX, BX or GS/GSA but such an LNA is definately rarer and will get the looks because when have you seen the last one? The Renault Clio right beside the LNA is a bit surprising because that's actually a car that I am still seeing often enough in the daily traffic. Bu as I just noticed it can be also already more than 20 years old. The second generation was introduced in 2001 and built with some facelifts until 2012 which also explains why I am still seeing them around. With this bumper it's mostlikely the phase two from 2001-2003. In last year and the year earlier I've seen the V6 Sport of the Clio - really an impressive looking car. The Rover 200 (XW) in british racing green is also interesting with the bump on the hood. Wondering if it is like with the Honda CRX from that time to be limited for the DOHC engine. Oh but a few cars later the convertible in red metallic - wonderful! The Vauxhall Astra Mk1 in this EXP edition with the two tone paint is really looking amazing. Haven't seen such an edition here on our Opel Kadett D. 2:10 remembering the car ;-) Red paint fading into pink - something that is happening a lot at these uni-color red paints. And stupid me - my Golf is also uni-color red, haha. But I'm probably not driving it until it's 20-30 y/o - I'm sure our government will find a trick or treat to trade it into an EV at some tim. The Passat beside of it is also something that is something I am still seeing quite often in the daily traffic. The Citroen BX reminds me of my teacher from 4th to 9th grade ... he also had one like this in silver. But I'm believing he had the pre-facelift. At least I can remember some other teachers did also buy one for themselve a few months later. And some others did chose for the Peugeot 205.
such nostalgia and these are cars we remember which makes them so great. I must admit I love History which means I also like cars that are older and I don't remember. One day I will have a 1940's car - just think they are so cool and so undervalued
@@OldCarsNewVan I've recently watched a video of an American footballer who is playing for a team over here around Stuttgart. He's also creating travel vlogs and trying to speak as much German as he can. He was recently with some friends who restore old cars. There was an old Buick in the collection. It was from around 1940. I guess it will be an adventure when driving it the first few times. It had four pedals and if I'm remembering right the clutch was a very small pedal. So although the system is still very same to the day but it looks very different and at the beginning you will feel lost, hehe. But I am very sure that it will be a great adventure driving around with such a vintage car. But driving on its own axle will also limit the range very much about the shows you can visit.
I have seen quite a few Volvo 740/t5 etc at shows this year. They suddenly seem to have become quite popular. One followed me in to a show and i thought is he coming in? its seems rather young and then you realise how old it was and they have aged quite well to still accept them as modern. Thats my excuse anyway for the passage of time. The Astra exp was a rare survivor. The Lynx bronze 800 looks nice and its . The mk1 was the nicest shape as far as i'm concerned. It was a colour i didn't think that much of until i started to see a Mk1 Sterling everyday on the way to work. With the caramel colour leather it looked so dreamy. I changed my mid over the colour. The Samba must be a rare one. Cant remember the last time i saw one. The Nissan Laurel such a rare sight now they were nice cars (still are). The Royale in their day were really something special and in the coupe format more so. An interesting mix of some rarely seen cars.
Good evening Sir - yes, lots of cars I looked at and thought, that's a modern car / I remember when they were launched. It's catching up on all of us :) But you've picked out some highlights which I agree with - that Vauxhall Royale for example was amazing
