- The Wellington Cable Car is a 600-metre long cable car / funicular railway operating up the hillside from the Wellington CBD to the Wellington Botanic Gardens, with three underused intermediate stops. In this video we take the full journey in both directions and take a look at what the attraction has to offer.

I got up to there but couldn't get further down to Lambton Quay without going all the way around.
Stood at top of cable car in 1999. Great view. Did you see any planes landing behind the hill?

I loved it, when I was there (01/2016), and the light tunnel in the middle, did you go on the Northern Explorer Train?
No it was too expensive for that and the times are bad since you can't stop anywhere in the middle.
