- Today on our 9-month Royal Caribbean Ultimate World Cruise we are visiting one of our most anticipated destinations, Iguazu Falls in both Brazil and Argentina. We have been looking forward to this stop on our Ultimate World cruise more than almost any port. We get to visit both sides of the falls over 2 days. One of the biggest surprises was getting to go into the Argentinian National Park before the park opened at sunrise to see the sunrise over the falls. WOW! I've been to Niagra and did that boat tour. Iguazu looks 100x more magnificent! So so happy that you got to experience that and the beautiful sunset! It looks like you had a couple of cruising days after Buenos Aires, so hopefully you got to catch up on your sleep before you hit Puerto Madryn!

Visiting Iguazu Falls, and seeing all that beauty has been one of our favorite days on this entire cruise.
Ive been to Niagara Falls and the Seven falls on Maui but this landscape is breathtaking! We even get rainbows and musical accompaniment! No one going over in a barrel for sure!

I'm so glad you had this great side trip was my list which I did quite a few years ago on my own prior to doing a Antarctic cruise. It is all so so spectacular you had good water and looked fantastic, when I was in there not slot of flow still great though, the year before was so dry people were filmed walking at the bottom. You will love going back when you have a chance is more tourist than when I went, did you see any of the gem stones so big and beautiful njoy the trips god bless❤😊

I'd like to hear your opinion about the "tiktok creators" who are on the ship? Are they being disruptful? What do you think of all the people who are saying there is "drama" on the trip... I think the creators on the ship are going to be what causes the drama... like that one guy who was disrespectful on a live.
We did a helicopter trip over the falls .You get to see how vast they are. We travelled in May. It was frosty in the early mornings. X
A helicopter ride would be absolutely amazing over the falls.

Every day of your cruise looks amazing and myself and my partner hope that we can do a similar itinerary when we retire! We have been to Iguazu and it is as spectacular as you said! We stayed at the hotel in the park and I would highly recommend that! We did not do the river boat ride and after seeing your experience I’m glad we didn’t. The trails are mostly handicap accessible and are very doable. Don’t
miss this!

Isn't Iguassu Falls the best? I went there in 2016. Amazing. Hiked along it, flew over it in the helicoptor and took the South American "Maid of the Mist!" Would have loved the sunrise over the Falls. BA is a beautiful city, so well worth a return visit!

Royal Caribbean included seven world wonders for us as well as four what they call escape excursions. However, the one to Iguazu Falls. We paid for ourselves. Most all of the excursions we paid for ourselves.
Following from New Zealand and loving your journey. I’ve done the Iguazu Falls over two days also and like you didn’t have enough time. Spectacular place. And you should definitely go back to Buenos Aires. It is a beautiful city with its architecture and culture. Keep having an amazing time. Blessings.

So Amazing! Just wondering if they have any accommodations for people with mobility issues? My hubby (50) still fit but has to use a cane.
That is a great question. There were areas that could be walked that are flat, but many of the areas we walked had steps so as long as he could navigate those with the cane, he would be good.
Excellent Mike, thanks for sharing. I had the opportunity to visit Argentina in 2014 and Iguazú Falls was one must-do in my trip. What a beautiful place to visit. I did algo the boat trip under the falls, such an incredible experience. I did take a mountain-bike over a tiny road in the rainforest, it was great too, riding through clouds of butterflies for parts of the road.
I hope some of Mexican has helped you to drift through Argentina and if at some point you are around Belgium or Netherlands ports, I will happy do the drive to meet you and Nancy.

Did you book the falls through the cruise line?
No. It was a private tour that a friend of ours booked. Royal did offer excursions to the falls though.

Just wondering, Is this when you started the antimalaria medication? If so, did you have any side effects?
We don’t start the anti-malaria medication until we reach Sri Lanka so we haven’t started it yet.
