I changed my rear tyre at 12400 km & front at 20000 km. I changed both the tyre with stock pirellis . Rear costed me ₹9300 & front one was around ₹8300. Currently my ODO is 26853km. Rear tyre lines are completely gone. Planning to change with CEAT ( cost effective also).
@@shaik_rides the thread lines are not grip lines, they are there only to avoid aquaplaning during wet conditions. Ideally you'd want no threads for maximum traction when it's dry!
I hope your rear disc brakes are working just fine! Dismantling the tyre from rims by keeping onto the disc sometimes bends the disc which causes problems while rear braking.
Wondering how you are dealing punctures with tube tyre installation? Considering it’s a pain to remove the rear tyre and most mechanics refuse to fix the flat tyre.
As I told in the video… There was no puncture.. till now…with Pirelli tyres… So I am lucky.. If I get one then M gonna spend some amount on puncture-less kit…

I dont think so.. tube would front tyre tube would fit in rear tyre as the dimensions are different… Back is 130 size n front is 110 size it is not feasible

My Interceptor 650 has done 17.5k on stock ones. They look a lot better than the ones being replaced in the video. I'm surprised they lasted me this long. I've already started hunting for the 150 section Pirellis. I'm planning for the Phantom Sportscomp (the original ones) or the Scorpion Trail 2 (crazy expensive). Since they're lasting me this long, I'm convinced to spend the $$.
The rear tyre of Interceptor and CB350 have the same dimensions. Can we replace the entire rear setup on interceptor 650 and use CB350 alloys? Please share what you think about this.
Yes the dimensions are correct and they match, but if you want to replace with the cb 350 alloy wheels then I cannot say if the alloy wheels of cb350 can withstand the interceptor 650 weight, power and speed, i cannot confirm that. A exp mechanic can help you. If you do it then let me know I will make a video of it. Even of u do there is no much help to u as the dimensions remain same and the only benefit is you get alloy wheels. I would suggest anyhow RE is launching another set if bikes with 650 engines with alloy wheels u can use them directly as they are tested and come from RE. The another option is u can use Meteor rear wheel 17inch one that directly fits the interceptor 650 rear section and the benefit is u can fit 150 section tyres that more affordable rather than 18inch wheel tyres. Performance wise Pirelli is good compared to ceat ones, Pirelli have good grip also but they wear n tear soon n it will impact on the ride quality like wobbling will start of also they are costly.. way costly compared to ceat. At the other end ceat gives is pretty decent tyres that should work for normal use but if u r looking for speeding n using it for track purposes they wont help u much and has decent grip.. on tarmac but it is obvious it looses it grips on off raod. works good with brakes though.

Yes it fits directly but I would recommend not, coz cb350 has diff weight n low in performance compared to int 650. So we have to use wheels that are coming from RE factory. Very soon RE will launch shotgun n cruiser 650 cc that comes with 18inch alloy wheels i guess then we can use as they are tested with 650cc engine n weight.
It ranges from 34 to 39psi… i keep it 36psi as my usage is more of city commute.. if u are doing off roading keep it 32 to 34psi. Hope I answered you. Please support by subscribing to my channel 😊
Grip is ok ok, the reason is its 650 cc with 47 bhp and no traction control so when u give instant acceleration in a slippery surface there are high chances of rear tyre will slip… This happens with any tyre u choose, over all the tyres are good for the price u pay.

My interceptor has run about 10000 km and it is still not traces of ageing. However in next six months I want to replace rear tyre at least with 150 mm section tyre. Just want to know whether any modification is needed for this? Thanks & regards Dr Tarun Sharma
For 150 section you can add timsun (not sure how they are dint test yet) or u can go for Pirelli both will cost close to 25k only for rear. When u add 150 section tyre for stock int 650 all u have to do is increase swing arm to max settings.( its easy any mechanic will do) Instead what u can do is u can directly fit 17 inch rim of meteor alloys at rear that doesn’t need any extra changes and then u can add affordable 150 sec tyres.. I have seen one guy doing this to his int 650 and m planning to do the same in future. But I always suggest to go for stock tyres dimensions currently ceat.. ones as RnD is done on those dimensions.
For the price they are good, they do the job.. it could have been better.. like the grip feels less since the twins do not have traction control.. the tyre slips when u open the throttle quickly. Apart from that they are good.
@@shaik_rides hey man i have used Ralco for 10 k kms i can Answer you i guess, dont go for ralco unless you want to do serious off road or where you stay there is no road because its not good at all, less grip and in rains its not performing good and for 650 cc its low performing tyre i felt.
Right, my rear was gone but i was not using my bike much.. so dint bother to change.. Now things have cooled in terms on of pandemic so changed it, the front tyre is good for another 2k km.. confirmed the same from tyre guy. Anyway thanks for the feedback.

Yes front tyre can be used for long as mine is still running i can still see grip lines so will change by 20k.

Yes you can.. they are tubeless tyres with tubes in it since the stock ones are spoke based wheels.. btw how much did it cost for the alloy wheels?

Hi, we have alot better roads here in Australia and punctures are not common.
The INTERCEPTOR was designed for BIAS TYRES so to get the best out of them we should use Bias tyres. I may try the Michelin Road Classic next.

Ceat zoom is very bad. No grip in wet road and confidence level is very low in corners. Please don't buy ceat.

Hi, changing to a 150mm rear is not recommended. I checked into that myself and found it can change the bikes cornering geometry.

There is no tubless tyre in ceat one, even if I go, it is still spoke wheels so doesn’t make diff untill i change to alloy wheels
