Been using my Echo 8010 for 3 winters. I bought it for blowing snow here at my home in Alberta Canada. Had the Stihl as well but the Echo worked waaaay better!
LOL! It works so great for the light, fluffy snow. I won't even use my snowblower if that is the case. And, if it's cold enough, the concrete below is dry since the blower gets it all. It DOES NOT work very well at all with the heavy, wet snow we get in Denver in late Feb.-April. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@LawnCareNinja hint… if you let that snow freeze over a couple days… your blower will flake up all the ice on the bottom and clear it off nice n clean.
@@beri232 Yeah, I know that very well! Sometimes when it is really cold, it'll do it for me. However, I can't wait a couple days for my residential customers. In Denver, you have 24 hours after the snow ends to clear the walks otherwise, they can fine you. Please, lots of people walk their dogs so it ends up creating actual ice and that's very hard to get rid of.
Just watch those fuel lines, particularly the return line, in cold weather as they can break causing gas to spill down your back and legs. This just happened with my 770 after using it in -20C weather. The dealer is replacing the factory lines with better ones. I see that Echo doesn't recommend using the machine below about -9C (15F) or thereabouts.
-20 sure is cold! I never thought about the fuel lines. I will for sure be inspecting them as I use it more this winter. Perhaps replacing them myself if needed. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Lol, it really did! Definitely got wet and cold. I think I will be using it for walks leading to the front and maybe big driveways. I write all my times down and it took about the same amount of time with better results. Thanks for watching and commenting!
with the loudness of the Echo 9010 motor my electric powered snowblower is the preferred method for snowblowing the driveway. Of course, the 9010 can do the job
I use my echo for the light small snowfalls. So far under 2inchs of it’s a lot faster than shovelling. But I don’t think I’ll have any luck with wet snow. Luckily we don’t get much of that here
It kinda sucks in wet snow. From about Feb. onward, it doesn't do too well. I've used it in snow storms of several inches when the snow has a low water content and it is amazing. Thanks for watching and commenting!

It’s nice cool and fun till wet heavy slushy snow storm hit.
Exactly! For snow with low water content, it rocks. Thanks for watching and commenting!
