When Josh joined, I really enjoyed the "I'm with you" album, and later on discovering that josh and john actually collaborated on John's solo album "shadows collide with people" Okay so with that being said, I mean it leads me to believe they're friends... right? I mean why would john feature josh on his solo album otherwise, you know? So basically what I'm getting at now is like, why can't they both be in the band??? I understand it's John's spot lol and I love john frusciante, man! Californication, by the way, stadium arcadium, phenomenal albums... but josh held the fort down for a friggin decade while john was off doing his own thing, and I respect the man for that! Honestly I feel like John is the only person who can sort of keep up with Flea live, they BELONG on stage together! But in my humble opinion, I think maybe it's a shame that Josh can't just stay in the band as a second guitarist. It could work so well live, certain songs that feature guitar parts overdubbed, shit John can play lead, solos and what not, and josh can hold it down in the background as a touring rhythm guitarist.. Just a thought! ✌️❤️
Love the bass in this song, Anthony did a good job with the vocals, appericate Josh sound, chad always looks so happy playing drums. Haha some notes i thought about listening to this. Looking foward to their new songs cooming out

I really don't think Josh would be a Chili Pepper if he didn't deserve to be. He may not be as much of a genius as John in production but he does more than enough and he is awesome live. For me, at least, RHCP is more of a live band than a studio band. Josh is here, boys.

valdi vall I don't argue with that, even if some people do. But a new guitarist is RHCP's call, not John's, since he's leaving the band. He might've made the suggestion, but they haven't mentioned anything of the sort, as far as I know
People need to understand that Josh is a very good guitar player, in his own way, and he's tryin' to put some of ''himself'' in the band, like all the others RHCP guitarists did, take Dave Navarro as an example, with all that experimental stuff and some metal essence, they did a awesome album, even if it was a little different comparing to the earlier albums. He has his style, and I hope Josh contribute with what he have to give to the band now and become the second John Frusciante!

Dont get me wrong I loved JF but I also loved Dave Navarro and the sound he brought to the band, same with Hillel. Josh is a GREAT guitarist! There's three problems: 1) He plays too quietly. You can barely hear him half the time. 2) He's young. Like, a decade younger than the rest of the members. 3) He's following up John's performance with Stadium Arcadium. And John put 110% effort into that album (he went out with a bang in Turn It Again). He's not a bad guitarist, it's just going to take him a while to fit into the band. Trust me, in a few years, he'll be PERFECT.
If you look for johns pedal board during the stadium arcadium tour you'll see more pedals. Secondly if you watch videos of josh performing with other bands before the peppers you'll see thats just the way he is onstage. He doesn't have to "try" he got the gig because the peppers know hes the real deal.
