Josh is truly the unsung hero of the chili peppers saga. Showed up and played like a god when they needed him to, and bowed out like a true professional when his time was up. He truly got to live out his rockstar dreams with this band and despite the pressure he must’ve had, he delivered. He *truly* delivered. The dude is an amazing guitarist

Josh must have felt on top of the world when being asked to join the band. He exceeded my expectations and I grew to love what he did with them. I even have a big framed poster of the “Getaway” album on my wall because I loved it so much. This is coming from a MASSIVE RHCP/John Frusciante fan. Shame on the “fans” who turned their back on RHCP when Josh joined. They missed out on some of their most legendary music ever made. Hope that one day, John reaches out to Josh and asks him to go on tour with them like back when he did during the “Stadium Arcadium” tour.
Not only Josh kept the band running (amazingly, by the way) for 10 years, but also he got these gems from OHM to be played live again. Johnny Frustrating is the only member that neglects 5 full albums of the band.

Yeah it's becoming more and more a limitation on the band's live performances...Look at Brian Johnson he is 72 and was still energetic two years ago at Reading. As long as their next album is a killer I'm fine with Anthony's downfall, and if I ever have the chance to see them live I guess John Flea and Chad will make up for it

Flea took the reigns for OHM musically, creatively, its very much a bass driven album... and one of the most underrated ever.
I remember Anthony saying in his autobiography that Dave came from a place where Perry dominated the creative process in Jane’s.
