Oh, you poor thing, Chris. The fact that you were so close to seeing Amanda, yet so far. 😫 You're right, though: it does get better. Glad you finally got home! Enjoy your time with Miles. ❤
I'm mirroring your message back to you -- never forget YOU are amazing. The world is a better place with YOU! I enjoy your words of encouragement and I could feel how much you love your wife and son. Thank you for doing what you do.
Absolutely agree with this ❤ you are such a wonderful person and bring so much light into this world your kindness is such a blessing to so many safe travels friend
Chris, my daughter and I ran into you in the middle of this crisis at the bottom of the escalator by that breeze worker. Thank you for being so gracious and snapping a picture with us despite your struggle to find a place to stay. We ended up staying at the sonesta. (Had to purchase two rooms with 7 people in the family) You honestly have been an inspiration to us taking our Disneyland trip this past week. I watched your channel for years leading up to it. I had a blast following up on so many of the secrets you've shared throughout the lands. Your positive messages per video are amazing and have helped me stay motivated when times get tough. Anyway, it was amazing to be able to snap a photo with you after seeing your channel for years. You are a good man sir.
Awww, Chris. I got all teary when you talked about missing Amanda and Miles. I bet you are one of the best husbands and fathers ever. It's so clear how much you treasure your family.
I’m glad you were able to make it home I’m so sorry you did not get to see Amanda. I fly for work at times that I know how hard it is to be away from the people you love even when you might be having fun. I also want to say the message at the end of your videos always speaks to me and gives me a hope, Disneyland is mine and my husband’s happy place. And your channel and positivity always brings me joy.
My husband is an airline pilot. Welcome to his world. LOL! He gets stuck a lot, and last night, tried to get into Reno but was diverted to Oakland due to blizzard conditions in Reno. Had to get an expensive hotel (which we pay for). Couldn’t get out this morning. It’s now almost evening next day and he’s still not home. Spent all day today trying to get home on his day off. And tomorrow he has to head back out again. I totally feel for you! 💕 Thanks so much for all you do!
That’s rather concerning that they treat airline pilots like this because if he’s extremely tired and he’s flying a plane, isn’t that dangerous for everybody else and himself? I mean the fact that they don’t even pay for his hotel don’t they want him to get a good nights sleep is your husband play for him? Because that’s extremely concerning. Don’t they have like some kind of group that can an advocate for them?
@@Dolcevita_bakesHe’s commuting on his day off and is heading home. He’s not on duty. If he was on duty then he would have a hotel room paid for by the company.
Chris, thank you for being real. Your videos are great. I especially appreciate your positivity message you give in each of your videos. It makes a difference. Thank you
Chris, so sorry you had to struggle to get home to the family. Your amazing and special and you make the world better for a lot of us too, trust me. I look forward to your videos, always so uplifting. Thank you for being you and never stop ❤
I just got home after spending the day today (Monday) at Disneyland & DCA. I wonder if Amanda & her friends were there today too? 😊 I’m glad you finally made it back home safely & that you enjoyed your time at Disney & Knotts!
So sorry your flight got cancelled but by showing this video it's showing people that everything does not always go as planned and even though things looked bleek you kept going on like a champ bless you Chris 😊
Stranded at an airport is so stressful, I feel your frustration. Right now, my husband has been in MA for 2 weeks helping our daughter while her husband is ill. I’m home in western NY taking care of my 96 yr old mom. He’s finally coming home today, but it’s been a loooonnnggg 2 weeks!! I appreciate your positive message, but I think you need that message too! ❤
Chris, I love the way you try to deflect negativity. In your situation we all would be “dang it”. It’s ok to be unhappy with a situation. And in the middle of it you chose to reach out to those of us that are struggling. You truly are awesome.
This video reminded me of that song about 2 ships passing in the night. I hope you get some rest and get to see Amanda soon. Travel delays can be almost unbearable at times.
Great video. I have been there before stuck at the airport over night. I feel bad that you were so tired, but you continued on with such a positive attitude.
SO sorry this happened to you. Thank you for your dedication and all you do for your vlogs. You are AMAZING!! Here’s to better travel days in your future. 💗
Wow, such an ordeal! So close, yet so far. Glad you finally got back to Utah safely. Your reunion with Amanda will be extra special when she gets back. Even with your frustration, you still gave your inspirational words to all of us. You are amazing. 😊 Get some rest and have fun with Miles. ❤
Thank you for thinking of your fans, Chris. YOU and Amanda are special as well! Thank you for the great work you do. Sorry that you missed her by just a few minutes.
Hang in there, Chris. Remember like you always tell us "YOU are AMAZING!" (And you truly are!!). Enjoy the time w/ Miles. (They grow so fast). Hope that Amanda had a great trip!
Chris - thank you soooo much for posting this. While I'm sorry you had a rough time of it. It helps remind us that sometimes travel isn't always easy. Some You Tubers only post the fun stuff and we never see the reality. That can actually lead to a smidge of depression and a lot of "FOMO" for those of us watching. Balance is good for us. You're the best. Get some rest! :-)
OH Chris, I love how real you are! It is very touching to see a husband really miss his wife! glad you are home! blessings to you and your family! praying Amanda has a much easier trip home.
Hey Chris-Just a quick tip. I usually carry with me a pool blow up mattress in my carry on or in my luggage. I usually buy a few during the Summer close out sales. It is flat-takes up very little room but in a pinch can give you something to lie down on when stranded. I came up with this when my son was small and I had to think of what I could use to lie him down in an airport. Although not ideal, it beats lying on a hard floor. You can also buy an inflatable tub pillow as well. When you are exhausted and have no other alternative or if you would need to lay Miles down for a rest, it works. Once you blow it up (typically not too awful to do manually), I just leave it behind and typically it gets snarfed right up. I am sorry you got stranded but grateful you are home safe and sound. Be well. And yes-I am talking to you-you are important to me and I appreciate all you do to put out the best and most kind content.
I feel ur pain Chris😅my flight got cancelled one time and I decided to stay in the airport overnight - only to find out at midnight , after making myself a make shift bed in the airport, that the airport closes between midnight and 4 am - so I stood outside the airport in -7 degrees Celsius for 4 hrs and watched cars 1 and cars 2 😂… but u know my husband died 3 years ago from brain cancer and I always remember how he suffered - these things are small things and I appreciate how hardship gives us perspective in life - thank you for sharing and always being real .. love your channel for the magic of Disney and reality of life you present - big hugs and happy recovery!
So close and yet so far! I could tell how emotional you were about missing Amanda, and I completely understand. You handled all these frustrations so well and with such grace. I hope your reunion with Amanda will be even sweeter when she returns!
What a few days you had at the airport. Glad you finally made it home. We live in Lake Tahoe, CA and we just received over 5 feet of snow! Crazy so much fell in 3 days! Enjoy your time with Miles while mom is away. We really enjoy your videos!
I've said it before about the Oogie Boogie episode where you were at the event without your family--watching you deal with non-optimum bummers is such a great teachable moment. Thank you for sharing the highs and the lows!
I felt so bad for you. Always a fear of mine. At least you were able to get a Hotel. I've seen it where people couldn't find one anywhere. Sorry you missed Amanda, but you get to see Miles. You are amazing. Keep the great videos coming.
Poor Chris! I am so sorry you got stuck on a plane and I can understand what you're going through. Lots of times, it's the weather that causes these flight delays. Thank you for uplifting my spirits every day as I had to go through a rigorous procedure today at the doctor. As a person who deals with anxiety, doctor appointments are not my best friend however I understand why they are a huge part of our lives. Safe travels to Amanda at Disneyland!!
Tearing up hearing your kind words. Thank you for caring about those of us who might be struggling. You're a beautiful soul, and I wish everyone had a heart of gold like you.
You should've called Erica because she reads the fine print for you! Yeah, had a flight like your's back in September, head on the pillow at 3am! Cheer up, better days ahead!
Chris, Your storytelling skills and sincerity always keep me riveted. If someone else was telling the story I wouldn't have watched it all the way through, I had things to do. But I put them off to see this whole video. Thanks for the information and entertainment.
Thank you Chris! YOU are so amazing! And God has an amazing sense of humor! I once left D-Land and ended up stuck at SNA for over 8 hours! They finally fixed the plane and I got home. Oh the déjà vu of it all! I feel for you! Glad you got home! Yay! PS: Thanks so much for invoking "Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World"! "What's with all these wires!" "You're doing a great job, Colonel!"

the fact that you do not even live in the So Cal area and make videos of Disneyland frequently is amazing. Thanks for your positivity even when old man winter is beating down your door.
We live in Vegas and have been experiencing the same wind storm this whole weekend as Utah. It’s been bad. 65-70mph winds. Most of our flights haven’t been able to land at our airport. It finally just let up tonight. The same windstorm/blizzard produced a 165mph gust up in Tahoe. It’s a really yucky storm. Sorry you were caught up in it! 😢
Chris, I hear your inspiration in every video and I am always grateful because I am the same way with people. I am a hairstylist for a memory care and associated living home. I absolutely love what I do. Been a stylist for 25 years. I Love being some sunshine for others also. However I was bit by a dog a month ago and had to be in the hospital for a week. I'm still recovering and have to receive iv antibiotics daily and will start hand therapy from the bit wounds and emergency surgery. I've been really down and honestly haven't even had a desire to watch much Disney content. I woke this morning at 4am because I am experiencing trauma from the incident. So I decided to check out youtube and this video was first to watch on my feed. Let me tell you, your inspiration hit me like a tons of bricks😢 Thank you so much 💛 from the bottom of my heart. Finally, I get to be useful for a change. I want you to know that your light shines. You are important to my health and well-being. I live vicariously through you in the parks. I have lost my health and can no longer leave my country. You stay strong & rest well. God uses you daily. Stay on the road and keep up the good fight!
Chris, BIG THANKS and always for that positive message at the end. I have been going through some medical issues with my heart and passing of my mom during Covid. My mom had been dealing with FLD for a long time before Bruce was diagnosed with it and I know you dealt with tragedy. Not to say I moved on, but I remember the good memories! Thank You Always for making me laugh in life!
We so appreciate the hard work you put in your videos. So when a snag like this comes along please know we are with you ( in that strange video way) and a praying and pulling for you. ❤
I spent 6.5 years covering 48 states living in airports 5 days a week -- My heart goes out for you. I have been in this situation so many times -- missing important moments. Take care and remember, its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air vs in the air PRAYING that you will be safe, wishing you were on the ground.
So glad you’re home safe!!! Our flight home from WDW several years ago was also a disaster and involved my 2-year-old son and my 75-year-old mother-in-law actually running through the Chicago airport at midnight. (I booked a nonstop in the middle of the day.) But my FAVORITE terrible story was a flight from Denver, CO to Phoenix, AZ. Picture those 2 areas on a map. There was a SCHEDULED (not accidental or last-minute) layover in MINNESOTA. And after we landed in Minnesota, they shut down the Phoenix airport! I was stuck for an extra 9 hours on the wrong side of the country. I didn’t have the charger for my work phone (I packed it because I was only expecting a 30-minute layover). I finally did get home without needing a hotel, and I thoroughly enjoyed the overtime check, because we were paid hourly including travel time!
Am so sorry, bummer. Storms have been all over the Western states. Will give big prayers to give you the extra umph !!! Happy Blessings your way. S. CA Magik ...
Well, I'll say that you're probably fortunate that your flight was canceled. The wind was nuts for about 18 hours... would have been a horrible flight. It caused some roof damage at my house that I need to have fixed ASAP....but now the roof is covered in snow, so need to wait for that to melt off before I can have the roof fixed...but more snow and rain on the way! Ugh. First World problems in the end, though! Just glad you're safe and home....and glad that my home is still standing and the family is safe (and no leaks....yet)!
Oh, how frustrating to have to deal with the cancellations and delays…. Especially when you’re so exhausted! I hope you’re able to catch up on some rest now and that Amanda has a user-friendly experience on her return to Utah! You guys are amazing! 😊
Wow. This was so real. Hit home and brought up memories I thankfully forgot 😂. Always good to see the human side of things. That takes courage so props are well deserved! As to Breeze, well they really dropped the flaps on this one. Communication was clearly lacking.
I live in Davis county Utah. That was the absolute craziest storm! Winds were so bad! I'm actually grateful you were made to stay in Cali and not traveling in that wind! Your plane would have been blown away 😮
So glad that you got safely home. Sorry that you missed Amanda. I have high anxiety when I fly. My anxiety is off the roof if something happens with the flight. You did great .
Love the Mad Mad Mad World reference, that is my favorite movie of ALL time!!! I live just a couple of miles from the BIG W in the movie (or at least were it used to be). Glad you made it home!!
Ah bless, I had that same experience once, was only going an hour and a half away, took all day in the airport, to fly, crazy times, glad you made it home safely! ❤
Totally feel your pain. Got to the Miami Intl. @ 10:00 am yesterday 3/3/24 and waited for our flight out at 4:42 pm and it kept getting bumped out and when we finally got on it we sat on the tarmac for two hours. Then got to ATL where our connecting flight to Utah was boarding as we landed. We hit the lottery because they landed at the same concourse as our connecting flight and we ran and made it back to Utah before midnight. I feel your pain 🤗
I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. It sounded very frustrating. I'm glad you're safe. You are amazing and strong and I'm proud of you for getting through this! ❤
We were at Disneyland for my birthday on Feb 29th, luckily our flight wasn't cancelled, left LAX on Saturday afternoon for Reno, arrived in the middle of a snow storm.

Keep remembering the good. 💚💙
We so appreciate the hard work you put in your videos. So when a snag like this comes along please know we are with you ( in that strange video way) and a praying and pulling for you. ❤
I appreciate that
My wife and I have watched you since the start! Literally we're still stuck. Love ya! Would love to see ya in MN !
(I booked a nonstop in the middle of the day.)
But my FAVORITE terrible story was a flight from Denver, CO to Phoenix, AZ.
You and Amanda make such wonderful content, I look forward to them all! I'm so sorry you had a rough trip!
Thank you so much!
I work at LAX and this is a daily situation. Breeze can be challenging at times. I have had the great stories of family in nearby aircraft too!
I fly every week. The stories just rack up! I’ve been stuck all over the country. I can empathize a whole lot more than I wish I could. 🥴
Thank YOUUU Chris it does get better. Much love to you & your beautiful family. ❤🙏🏽
What a long day Chris!. Glad you made it back to Miles. Sorry you missed Amanda. I know what missing your wife feels like. Thanks for sharing.🙏👍👊💜☮️
Good luck. Rest up. Get home safely
Am so sorry, bummer. Storms have been all over the Western states. Will give big prayers to give you the extra umph !!! Happy Blessings your way. S. CA Magik ...
I live near Provo. Trust me it was nasty weather yesterday. Be grateful you didnt fly through here yesterday. Be safe. We really got dumped on ❄️☃️
THE PLOT OF HIS STORY......I WANT TO GET HOME 😂😂😂❤❤❤
I always thought you lived near Disneyland. Wow.
Provo, as in Provost. Sounds like a bad dream. Maybe you’ll wake up and be at Epcot.
Wow. This was so real. Hit home and brought up memories I thankfully forgot 😂. Always good to see the human side of things. That takes courage so props are well deserved! As to Breeze, well they really dropped the flaps on this one. Communication was clearly lacking.
You're the best, thinking of others even in the midst of your dilemma! ❤
So close and yet so far away! I'm here in Provo. I didn't realize this storm caused so many problems.
Hey Chris, just wanted to thank you for all your encouragement to us. Disney fans you’re the best.
I have driven by the real big "W" a few times on a day off of a Disneyland trip. It is a beautiful drive, you should try it some time.
Oh, man! I'm so sorry your flight was cancelled and you missed Amanda! Safe drive home.
Ah bless, I had that same experience once, was only going an hour and a half away, took all day in the airport, to fly, crazy times, glad you made it home safely! ❤
Ah! I was so sad for you when you could see Amanda's plane passing by you. Thanks for a very real video. Glad you got home safe and sound!
Totally feel your pain. Got to the Miami Intl. @ 10:00 am yesterday 3/3/24 and waited for our flight out at 4:42 pm and it kept getting bumped out and when we finally got on
it we sat on the tarmac for two hours.
You’re amazing and thank you for being so inspiring in all your videos even with your day going the way it did!
I've never heard of Breeze airlines, the seats looked like lawn chairs. Lol.
Chris, please don’t forget you are AWESOME and AMAZING! Hugs.
We were at Disneyland for my birthday on Feb 29th, luckily our flight wasn't cancelled, left LAX on Saturday afternoon for Reno, arrived in the middle of a snow storm.
