I AM ABSOLUTELY FERAL OVER THIS ANIMATIC AAAAA the transition in the 01:32 to 01:38 sequence where Jimmy is in the Captain uniform at the end and casually drops Curly while looking him straight in the eye pretty much summs up the game in a nutshell

Wait I'm so dumb it took me like a million rewatches to notice that at 1:18 it shows the crew interacting with Curly after the crash Anya carefully applying or changing his bandages, unsure of how to even treat such an injury and probably doubting herself or afraid of messing something up Swansea lecturing or judging Curly for the crash but still understanding, resting his hand on his limb Daisuke just showing him cat pictures/memes to cheer him up, bless his pure soul And J*mmy making him stare in the mirror and see what he has become, mocking him. Curly wouldn't even get to know how he looked like after he burned unless someone'd show him, and ofc it'd be Jimmy cuz to do so is pointless unless you get some sick sense of pleasure out of it its so good someone get this animatic out of my head pls

You KNOW its gonna be a good Mouthwashing fan creation when the creator has to tell people not to tag it as Curly x Jimmy, theres always something so good about how Jimmy's strange and awful obsession with Curly is potrayed. I'm also so obsessed (like all of us here in the comments) with the dance sequence, and the transition leading up to it. Curly climbing out of his bandages as himself pre-crash, in a full captain's uniform, to see Jimmy holding out his hand. Curly isn't dragged or forced into Jimmy's dance, he steps into it himself. He put himself into Jimmy's dance when he invited him on that ship, when he was complict in what Jimmy did to Anya-- but the dance ultimately ends with Jimmy being the captain, with Jimmy being in control. It ends with Curly being back in his bandages, in a state where he is stuck in that dance at the others whim-- and Jimmy, of course, drops him. He has the part of Curly that he was ultimately obsessed with, his power and control, so he doesn't need Curly anymore. Curly falls into the mouth of the horse, that STUPID horse that of course symbolizes so much of Jimmy's worst actions. I'm so obsessed, this whole animation and its concept is spectacular.

Damn, man, this animatic really came out cool. I've been reviewing it several times and it still catches on. An interesting choice of music, interesting techniques and visualization itself (especially elegant transitions from the past to the present in dance) as well as focusing on Сurly himself and his experiences about all the horrors happening around him. It's just a fairy tale!
WOah this amazing!!! I love this song and pairing it with Mouthwashing was such a big brain move!! 1:05 onwards was SO COOL. I SEE THE VISION. I love the depiction of the actual crash, with Curly running to the cockpit to try and fix things (and Jimmy hiding like the coward he is). 1:18 - 1:21 was AMAZING, and with the lyrics and the beat? Ugh so good!!!!! AND THE LINE "This is your ship and you are the captain" as Curly turns around in a captain's uniform,,,,,, damnnnnnn THE PARALLELS with the actual game!!!!! And the whole dance sequence at the end, with the lyrics,, was just so perfect Also the little pixelated Curly falling at 1:41 is so funny to me 😭 I would absolutely love to see a more polished version of this!!!!!

It took me a while to learn how Curly wasn’t innocent yet I feel he would be someone willing to take responsibility after seeing the consequences if he could, unlike J*mmy who walks away from it, btw love how they portrayed him as a yin/yang character and shows how not everyone is perfect and how Curly was still trying his best
