@ im not saying that’s the overall theme of the game, just that it was _a_ theme. a minor one because it was said once, but it’s still present enough to mention since curly was the last one alive.
@@minimalgrammar1276 The theme of the game is the antithesis of what was being said by the characters. "Your worst moment doesnt make you a monster" But every single character dies and if found will be remembered for there worst moments. Now what worst moments means is different for every person.
@@ObsidianGloria Wow, thank you so much! I made this drawing based on the ship map in the game itself. And I was actually quite surprised when I realized that the cargo bay is somewhere to the right of the cockpit and is larger than the main ship. It was an interesting experience, even though I'm not very good at drawing ships or machinery
@@helius4057 LOL You say you’re not very good at drawing ships or machinery, but you made an absolutely awesome animation full of both, and it looks fucking great. You’re much better than you think.
A small corridor surrounding the massive cargo is such a good analogy for the company’s priorities, my only gripe is that you didn’t add Wake Rock crashed into the ship
The ability to share what happened, to make sure its known, how good of a nurse Anya was, how kind Diasuke was despite not wanting to be there, how hard Swansea tried to save the one who should've never been there
And of course, that, while our worst moments don't make us monsters, the one who should've taken responsibility for their deaths is where he belongs: the deepest pit of hell.
It’s very sad to imagine that in the probable future, Curly just wakes up, still in the Tulpar, and starves to death or something like that, while looking at Jimmy or just the cold wall in front of him
It's silly to think that his capsule would survive that long. The other 3 capsules were destroyed by the foam alone, do you think the 4th would have survived even if it continued to be "protected" by the rest of the ship?
@@monoposting4017 no the other 3 capsules we're destroyed as a result of the crash. we also know the emergency foam is designed to fill in holes in the ship. the crash breaking a pod window or loosening a bolt would have been enough for the foam to leak in, expand and destroy its internals. the foam itself wouldn't do too much damage. the surviving pod was functional but considering the severe damage the ship is in I'm doubtful it would keep working for its 20 year lifespan, especially since Pony Express is "known for cutting corners". so yeah, chances are kinda slim for Curly surviving just for different reasons you suggested.
@@OsloNaNoruega the lifepod failing early would actually be an excruciating death. he'd wake up just to see the desiccated corpse of Jimmy in front of him while slowly suffocating from zero oxygen. alternatively if there was any oxygen left (no surviving crew members means no oxygen was consumed during cryo and there were no oxygen leaks) he'd just slowly die of starvation as not only can he not move and definitely can't feed himself, there's no food left. what's worse is there's no one there to feed him painkillers. he'd be writhing in pain the entire time.
@@helius4057 absolutely adored all the detail in his room, the painkillers, the prosthetic legs (both matching stub lengths) wheelchair, mask to hide his deformed face, everything about it is amazing.
The mask, the wheelchair, the legs. Something so beautiful yet haunting about him carrying on. Like real trauma survivors, he has to live forever with the consequences of decisions that someone else made for him. It doesn’t make it not worth it, but god is it rough.
He still has a major part to play in his demise. He let Jimmy on the ship and overlooked the fact his friend was obviouslly mentally unstable. He could of taken action but decided to ignore it and had to pay serious consequences. He wasn't evil but he made those decisions, him and his crew suffered for it.
Curly ain't innocent tho for not protecting Anya for being biased in choosing jimmy as co pilot instead of being more thorough the irony of him saying how he always looks back to view the bigger picture only to miss the biggest one of all despite all the glaring hints that were dropped in front of him because of his rose tinted glass relationship with Jimmy it's ironic, tragic hauntingly beautiful imo
yeah he then has to live knowing he couldve done something, he couldve helped anya, he couldve stopped jimmy, but he didnt because he wanted to be on everyones good side, and then not to mention all the shit that he had to witness, like anya killing herself, jimmy beating him and shoving his meds down his throat, watching daisuke bleed out on the ground in the medical room, having to hear everyone else die, hearing jimmy kill himself, and having the severe physical trauma aswell from the crash
It's hard to say whether this could be considered a "good ending" for Curly or not. However, I like to believe that him living for a few more years with the opportunity to heal is better than dying in that hell, with his last memories being... well, Jimmy
I love the image of him waking up in bed and actually being able to sit up on his own at the end. I like to imagine that, despite Jimmy’s best efforts, he actually does get to find love, get a house, and get a promotion (as in get a job he actually enjoys and loves), like what Jimmy imagined him saying during his hallucination.
@@mightypurplelicious3209 Im unsure how it would actually work, but it looks like, in the end, he has prosthetics. I've seen people with prosthetic hands th at are functional. Also, im pretty sure there's ways you can communicate without speaking, yk? Sign language, writing words down, texting, text to speech, etc etc. :3
Knowing how shitty Pony Express treats their employees it’s probably unlikely Curly ever got rescued, but it’s still nice that they left it at a cliffhanger to leave it up for ourselves.
Yeah but do you think other companies will just let a spaceship that hasn't reported in 20 years float in space? They are atleast gonna go get it and salvage the wrecks
@@purpleblah2 "jonas check it out" "unless you found something good i don't wanna hear it. everything here is either rotting, too risky to take out, or damaged." I know most of y'all won't agree, but maybe this really is a good ending for Curly. Some people (example: me) would prefer to pass away in this situation. But as far as we know, Curly might still have a will to live, to set the story straight, to see the sun, to smell the flowers, to touch the grass. One must imagine Curly as happy
Realistically... Being stuck to one spot for months, no meaningful sociolization, constantly in agony... Would probably break his brain first month or so lmao
Представь ты, без кожи без ножек и ручек, тебе больно даже дышать, ты срешь под себя и это огромное окилчесвто времени, о каком желании жить может идти речь?
This really does make Curly surviving a happy ending... I wasn’t so sure, I suppose since there was such a high chance he would have woken alone 20yrs later. But it gives me hope. That ship will stay with him for the rest of his life, but it won’t BE his life anymore. Your worst moments don’t define you. I also like how he’s recovered! No prosthetic nose or hair, and he doesn’t sleep with his prosthetic limbs! I feel that perfect prosthetics miss the point of the themes and setting. Jimmy couldn’t imagine a perfect future so he gave up and tortured everyone to share the pain. But perfections never the point. Your best days might have passed but you can still eat a pie, make a new friend, breathe the smell of a poorly brewed coffee. There is so much joy to find in the life you didn’t envision.
GOD DAMN??? Im sorry you had to draw Jimmy but also Gosh I do get the feeling that with all the guilt he likely feels, he might have wished those few more days had passed. 'Its over,' like he wont have to live with what happened now
Okay this hurt. It might be unrealistic, but it does make me feel better than at least his last moments won’t be stuck in that hellhole of a ship. It’s not a happy ending, but it’s a better ending.
I actually think it's pretty likely that he gets picked up. It's essentially said that they're being replaced by autonomous cargo ships without a crew. They probably still use the same traffic routes, and space regulations should be quite strict to avoid debris. The company might've disappeared, but a cleanup should definitely be in order. Regarding his recovery, well, the main structure of his body seemed somewhat intact. If they have cryo chambers, then they might have advanced prosthetics, skin grafts, and artificial muscles, though it would take a while to recover mentally. It might be serious post-game coping, but I like to believe in this animation 😌
luckily this is a future where food can be printed, starships exist and have medical technology that can let you survive 20 years without food or water, so maybe they can fix him physically.
I mean, we can almost do cyborg hands now, and we can absolutely do prosthetic feet. You probably can't do cryosleep or 20 year batteries without enough tech for a decent cyberhand
@@danmakes2497 I think they could probably just erase this experience from his head. All he would know is they safely made their journey and parted ways. Anya is probably a nurse somewhere, Jimmy is back on Earth trying to survive, Swansea is rightfully retired and Daisuke probably went to college or something
@@NiCoNiCoNiCola Knowing the company and how they are from what we hear, they either don't send out any one to find them due to saving up any money they have left and declaring everyone "dead", or if they do and they do erase Curly's mind, they'll erase everything to hide what happened and throw it under the rug to protect face rather then in interest for Curly.
i love the attention to detail in the ending. they managed to patch him up with skin grafts, yes, but he hasn't made a magical full recovery. he has prosthetics n a wheelchair. he wears a face mask bc he probably couldn't afford facial reconstruction surgery. he's got two pill bottles on his bedside table, i assume one for painkillers and one for immunosuppressants? it looks like both his eyes are gone cause having one constantly forced open probably damaged it a fair bit. a lot of thought went into this and i'm for it!! (also of course all the wonders of future medicine are still not quite enough to fix all the trauma...but as long as we're alive there's still time to get better)
Unrelated, but the Mouthwashing world is capable of space transportation to other planets(?) as ports is possible. HOW DOES CURLY NOT HAVE A NEW FIXED UP BODY? (unless he rejected it to keep SOME part of himself, cause he would look like Vader if they did so. But still.) Fixing him up should be easy enough 2 decades into an already advanced Earth. How??? Also i doubt medical bills would still be that high for some prosthetics for arms and legs, infact, that's probably the simplest prejudice they can grant Curly. To prove my point, look at the Tulpar, ain't the greatest but, as seen from the pre-crash conditions, it was actually very clean. Worked like a charm too. Has a built-in super-computer(?) and auto-pilot. THAT IS SOME ADVANCED SHIT. (we have it for cars but have you seen some for an actual SPACE SHIP?) HOW? PS - Sorry for being this aggressive, i just want to know.
It's probably a more interesting ending than simply dying in a cryopod after 20 or less years. I do wonder what he would regret the most for these extra years he has been given. Perhaps not sticking Jimmy in a cryopod or otherwise stop him from crashing the ship while he still could have?
You know, besides curly never letting jimmy on the ship in the first place, shoving him in the cryo pod to deal with once the ship has landed somewhere safe sounds like the second best ending.
@@timothy6583 I see Jimmy's final act as completely selfish and cowardly. I feel like the only reason why he cared so much about keeping Curly alive is because, in his twisted narssisistic mind, as long as Curly lives, then he doesn't have to take responsability for any of his crimes and mistakes, cause "the captain is responsible for the crew". As long as Curly is alive, he is still the captain, even if he can't perform his duties. Jimmy died as he lived. Like a coward, refusing to take responsability.
auggh thats blood curdling. 'no more responsibility' while the camera pans over the corpses. deranged. the post credits gives us a sense of curly alive and with hope, but at the same time he will clearly never be free from everything that happened and his responsibility - nor should he be. its chilling and bittersweet and i really enjoyed how this came together. i also appreciate his post-canon appearance. i like when artists don't hold back on allowing him to look like someone in his condition almost certainly would look.
I love every part of this! But the final frame of Curly in bed is so touching with all the details present in it. The prosthetic mask on the desk, the wheelchair, the two prosthetic legs, made the scene feel truly thought through
Pony Express most likely go bankrupt, I think it was Swansea who said that they are the last company to operate a human manned cargo ship that only got hired by a mouthwash company, and they can barely afford to pay 4 people and a maniac. It's most likely that Jimmy doomed their last hope altogether, either it's a fancy passenger cruiseline or a government's spaceship that found the Tulpar.
@henrycooper3431 That's actually very true! Yeah, I could imagine there being a case about it back on earth... It would be believable if the government sent someone to at least investigate the scene.
@@Thatgeeky_Artist since it's said that they are still 8 months away from the destination, and the fact that it's like 5 or 6 months afterwards by the time the game ends, people probably assume Tulpar is still on her voyage. After 2 or 3 months, someone will notice something is wrong, and the government probably try to investigate. They most likely want to atleast know what happened, and possibly praying the cryopods saved some (or most) of the crew until they... found whatever was left of it and our poor boy Curly.
See alot of people saying how this is a happy ending but, yea no i dont see it that way, especially with the mention of he was days away from death, its all id want after all of this.
Exactly!!! After all that happened to curly I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to die. As I continued watching curly throughout the game I kept on wondering why nobody even considered to put him to rest and let him die.
He's going to have a lot of problems I think. First of all he could go blind since his only healthy eye was just missing the eyelids that would protect the retina. Secondly he'd definitely have a lot of mental problems after what he's been through. And not having arms and legs doesn't make things any better for him either. Even if he recovers it would take a long time and his life would be an eternal struggle. I was actually wondering if it was humane to leave him alive after the crash back when all the crew members were still alive according to the game's storyline. So you are absolutely right, this ending is only a good ending depending on who is looking at it. But I prefer to think of it as lying for the greater good. If it makes anyone feel better that Curly survived, so be it. Believing in the best is the only thing left.
@@helius4057 what book does mouthwashing remind you of? wasn't that much text btw, i think you have a very intelligent understanding of the story it's nice to see that illustrated as well with his grief portrayed so well
it's pretty bleak, yeah. p appropriate given the responsibility themes tho. Curly has to try and carry on despite knowing that his unwillingness to be responsible and address his friend's cruelty caused the crash. so even worse of an ending from that perspective, but pretty well earned.
Please reevaluate how you view the actions of a man who enabled a r-pist, if he had shoved Jimmy in a pod after Anya told him what he did, none of this would have happened
@@oscaruncomfortable Please evaluate that we are observing a man at the end of the story in a fucked up situation in which Curly got his just punishment (his body got destroyed, he continued to live, he was shown in harsh detail just what he was enabling, he got to see who he literally killed through his actions, he had to eat his own body and throw up, he got to watch everybody die, and though this is a happy ending, realistically he either continued to live in space for a long time, or if found, got punished for the actions of others.) At some point, we might say that he got the punishment he deserved, don't you think. And all that he has left are the regrets. Living is a bigger punishment than dying here. oh this made me misty eyed.... curly is my favorite character and this squeezed my heart so much. someone who's able to tell the tale of what happened on the tulpar that day, and he's able to form memories that aren't of what jimmy did to them all, and can properly move forward instead of the twisted sense of responsibility jimmy tried to take for him... i love the detail that, at the end, he has a proper house, prosthetics at his side, and can sit up for himself. growth, despite jimmy viewing him as nothing more than a blank slate to be projected on and a body to drag around however he liked. this is beautiful. the artstyle is lovely too, i adore lineless stuff, and the texture of the shading is all wonderful 💕
Honestly I prefer this ending to him dying in the pod. It would be easier, albeit still a good choice, to just let him die slowly in space, but having him be saved and returned to Earth means having to face what happened. Taking responsibility. Having to come to terms with his trauma, guilt, and life-altering wounds, just gives a kind of depth that a quiet death in space can't give, I reckon. And its a beautiful tone shift, as well. Because many people, who end up with severe disabilities or trauma like Curly, they still continue with life- there is no grand finale. No quiet death. Life just goes on, and I count this as an opportunity for Curly to heal and leave the tragedy in the past, best he can.
you mention in other comments that Curly surviving and being rescued might not actually be a happy ending for him. after all, being alive would mean carrying all the pain and deaths that occurred on the Tulpar. i feel like this animation carries that idea perfectly! for example, Curly starting to cry after the doctor tells him how he was lucky to be found, when he was almost dead. is he crying because he got to go home after all the trauma, or because the release he was waiting for got taken away from him yet again? especially the way it cuts to Curly crying while in the cryopod after it shuts down. that juxtaposition is made even better with the text we can read (also note how there isn't a "voice bleep" like when the doctor was talking, implying it's not them.) a doctor saying "it's over" after rescuing a dying man that clearly did not receive adequate medical care after his accident makes sense. but the following texts, "no more pain," "no more responsibility," read more like Curly being glad he's about to die. the ending where he wakes up in bed just ties it all together: showing how he continued to live, but the nightmares of what happened still follow him.
On the other hand, this way the world gets the chance to hear what actually happend to the Tulpar crew. Even though the damage can't be undone, maybe sharing the truth would prevent a story like this from happening again
No matter how awful, how disgusting, how utterly hopeless the entire world feel right now…. So long as you’re still alive, the next second CAN be better then all the ones before it. I have to believe that. I’ll never let anyone take that away from me.
"Anywhere can be paradise as long as you have the will to live. After all, you are alive, so you will always have the chance to be happy. As long as the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth exist, everything will be all right."
Curly would have been promoted, start a family, enjoy his life. Swansea would have returned home, apply to some new mundane job but hopeful for the future, at least in Daisuke. Daisuke would have moved on, still uncertain for what to make of his life. perhaps study for engineering. Hang out with Swansea every now and then. Anya would have delivered her child, traumatized, terrified. It's uncertain whether she keeps the child, but we have to believe our worst moments don't make us monsters. Curly would be there to support her 100% of the way. She would seek therapy and maybe continue trying to get into medical school. Jimmy would have been ostracized, tried and sent to jail for his actions. SA (20 years), Attempted murder x4 with malice aforethought (4 life sentences), Attempted murder of a starship captain with malice aforethought (2 life sentences "Varies") Total: 20 years and 6 life sentences. But that isn't what happened. Afterall, we have our own responsibilities. Our own version of it in any case.
@ exactly, I’m not saying that it would make her a monster. Even in the darkest moments of our lives, where everything goes wrong, it doesn’t mean we are monsters, but the victims of monsters. I was saying it for dramatic flair because that’s what Anya tells Curly during the night screen scene.
Beautiful animation, I'm glad Curly gets some closure even if it's fanmade. While it's certainly not a happy ending, it's definitely the happiest possible outcome given the circumstances. Certainly depressing to think he could have very likely succumbed to his wounds while in the cryochamber, or woke up only to starve when nobody found him. The crew of the Tulpar (minus Jimmy) deserved better...
I watched so many Mouthwashing vids but I never considered that the party hallucination was Jimmy literally propping up the crew's corpses at the table.
I think it was the case since in the final scene where he carries Curly to the cryo pod, they're still sitting at the table but they all are slumped over. Think the implication is that he propped them up and in his delusion thought they were cheering him on, meanwhile they were just sitting there in silence

Gives me goosebumps. Well done. And excellent music choice. For those who don't have Russian keyboards - the name of the song is "Берегите берёзы" by "Почему коммутатор молчит".
I hope he can honor his lost crew mates by telling their story and living on for them. Save for a certain co-pilot, they were all good people who deserved better.
God I’m just so obsessed with this, pacing around mentally rn. I have so many thoughts about post canon rescue curly and you captured so much of the fear and guilt and uncertainty and trauma and how hard it would be to have to live and move forward after all this, how the rescue is seen as the end but there’s so much more to go. The shot of him waking up at the end after such horrible visions, after maybe thinking he shouldn’t have been rescued n should’ve died with the others, it really shows what a hopeless horrible place he was pulled from. The atmosphere is just so hauntingly on point. But also the spark of hope. The life there to live and find, the body to reclaim away from the shadows in his mind. Just ayFFGG obseSSEDDD so deeply you captured so much so s so perfectly ayGGGHHH
I was SO READY to come down here and flame on you for doing my man Curly that way, then the final few seconds happened. Thank you for that. That's the ending I imagined for Curly. He may not have been a perfect person, but he wasn't evil and tried to fix his mistakes, and that's what led to his condition. I'm just sorry he's gonna have to live with those memories...
He wasn't evil, but he definitely wasn't a good man allowing Jimmy to do anything he wanted without consequence (and especially doing everything but flat out ignoring Anya). Brother he just floated the idea of crashing the ship because he didn't want to go to jail, *you. need. to. jettison him.* At this point Curly has been given a second chance to take responsibility post-mortem for Jimmy's crimes; Swansea had a wife and children, Daisuke had parents. He could go to them and give them the closure and apologies they deserve, if they're still alive, because Curly was the one who let this happen.
This feels almost like a bittersweet ending. Curly survived, but at what cost? Would it even be worth it by then? It's heartbreaking and you pulled it off so well, i love this so much agh q-q
In the distant future that this game takes place, I like to imagine they have tools to help Curly live well. The last scene seems to indicate some independence, as he was finally able to get up on his own
Hope he was able to sue Pony Express to help pay his medical bills on this last trip. It a terrible way to live but he at least gets to see the actual sun, feel the wind on his skin, to actually live not in pain but outside it. This is a lot better end, it doesn't make everything better but it better then him dying alone on a ship with last image being of freakin jimmy. As in a way it saying, despite every HORRIFIC thing you experience... Life moves on. Poor Curly.
That's great, I've been curious about what would happen after those 20 years in canon but I guess we're never getting that😂 At least people can come up with their own stuff
Most likely they did think that. Assuming everyone on the ship believed Curly had been responsible, that thought may have been held by the doctors as well.

I liked both endings i thought this video gave me. THe first, of course is rthat he actually gets to heal. THe one i thought that happened was that he halucinated him being saved, or imagined it, while the air supply ran out or the cryo pod ran out of power. That ending wouldve been so on theme with the game in how gutwrenching that wouldve been. very nice animation
oh god this is so well made ... i felt really bad for curly .. waking up after 20 years and yet he as to overcome his traumas and try to live "normally" again after everyting..
At the very least he can take solace in his ability *to* cry. His injuries on the Tulpar, the drugs constantly being shoved down his throat, and what I can only assume would be a hell of a dry throat and skin(?) after being frozen like a Salisbury steak in the cryostasis pod would've left him severely dehydrated until being hooked up to the IV drip in the hospital.
I feel bad for Curly, I say I make bad decisions and for me that makes it more human, it's not perfect, they're not good, but it's not bad either, I'm just saying that, I hope this game has a continuation, an ending. Happy or not, I just want to see what happens... Although I doubt they will make a second delivery By the way, rot jimmy
I prefer the idea that he survives, sure the game is tragic but honestly i think him dying while the last thing he ever sees or hear is Jimmy going on his insane rambling about having "fixed it" is worse
i hated the fact that Curly didnt stand up for Anya, but i know he was trying to be good for everyone, heck even jimshit, but in the end everyone ended up dying except for Curly, he has to live with his trauma and regrets
The prosthetic legs, the wheelchair, the mask, the pills, the scars omg I love this you’re really good at art Edit; and the ship as well!! It’s exactly how I imagined it!! I keep noticing new things about this i am genuinely amazed this is AWESOME
Poor Curly, he has to live with the trauma and guilt after being saved :( I just hope he learns to cope despite everything, the only good thing about this is that he doesn't have to have Jimmy as his last memory before he dies, ive seen alot of fanart with surviving Curly and i love the fact that they all give him a service dog lol
I've heard everyone saying if Curly can be mentally recovered from this. I think a better ending could be if after being rescued, he has a memory loss, which means he doesn't remember anything after the crash. The only thing he remembers is him and Jimmy on the cockpit, an emergency alarm and the ship crashing with an asteroid. That would be something interesting to watch.
you mean repressed memories right ? ,it has similarities to memory loss but it takes unravel-meant and possibly takes a safe heavy personal moments to get it out .
I know a lot people are thinking this is a good ending but I'm not certain it is, Curly is gonna live with the guilt and pain for the rest of his life. I doubt he'll get closure either since I bet nobody in any authority will care in 20 years what happened and the families will have probably moved on and will shun him for being alive while their family isn't. Maybe a decade of therapy will ease his suffering but who knows
With “a captain always goes down with his ship” being a theme in the game, him being the sole survivor despite it all fits so extremely well.
Fr something so ironic and tragic at the same time
I really do not think that's the theme of the game dude. More like "don't rape people."
@ im not saying that’s the overall theme of the game, just that it was _a_ theme. a minor one because it was said once, but it’s still present enough to mention since curly was the last one alive.

@@ObsidianGloria Wow, thank you so much! I made this drawing based on the ship map in the game itself.
@@monoposting4017 good point, and I hope you’re right. That’s a lot less painful
@@monoposting4017 From what Jimmy said, those capsules can last for more than 20 years.

Mentally though? He would take a long while, maybe not even revocer. A shell of his former self
@@danmakes2497 I think they could probably just erase this experience from his head. All he would know is they safely made their journey and parted ways.
But still.)
Fixing him up should be easy enough 2 decades into an already advanced Earth.
I think his eyes were replaced with smth like cameras, so they are dark, like our ones on smartphones.
It's probably a more interesting ending than simply dying in a cryopod after 20 or less years. I do wonder what he would regret the most for these extra years he has been given. Perhaps not sticking Jimmy in a cryopod or otherwise stop him from crashing the ship while he still could have?
Yes, it's more interesting, but him dying there would be more relalistic and true to the theme of the game
You know, besides curly never letting jimmy on the ship in the first place, shoving him in the cryo pod to deal with once the ship has landed somewhere safe sounds like the second best ending.
Probably feels regret by being saved by Jimmy in the end
He didn't deserve to play hero
He probably regrets not taking Anya truly seriously about Jumbo being completely vile and not kicking him off the ship.
The prosthetic mask on the desk, the wheelchair, the two prosthetic legs, made the scene feel truly thought through
I like to believe that Pony payed his full recovery and a compensation so he could have a decent life.
But knowing Pony...
Who knows, maybe Pony went bankrupt during those 20 years. and he was saved by the government or other organization.
Well, to avoid a lawsuit, they'd probably pay him anyways.
I was actually wondering if it was humane to leave him alive after the crash back when all the crew members were still alive according to the game's storyline.

the artstyle is lovely too, i adore lineless stuff, and the texture of the shading is all wonderful 💕
I feel like he’s just been waiting for death to happen the moment the crew put him on that bed

We can only hope throughout the odds Curly makes it and *tells the truth*
What you just said will stick with me for years, mostly because I'm making it my computer background
This is so sad 😢😢
Curse you, Jimmy
“Our worst moments don’t make us monsters.” ?? Not keeping a kid that was forced onto her wouldn’t make her a monster.
@gracehero849 way to welcome another Jimmy into society. Ah well, you are a bot, why even bother
@@YoussefBarj-g3e if you're female, I hope you never experience what Anya did. If you're a male, you have no right to judge her.
This is so kind for Curly, he is mentally damaged but at least he is in a better place.
he is also very physically damaged too
@@ScrambledBrian maybe they can fix him somewhat.
@@DrinzenDrawzthat thought honestly terrorizes me for some reasons
@@P1NK_CHA0S yea the implications that he carried them over and propped them up just to sit there in silence is extremely unnerving
He was so far gone bro this is so fucking depressing i got chills and now my stomach hurts
мне страшно думать о том, сколько он должен будет выплатить корпорации за ущерб кораблю, товару, который там перевозили, потерю команды, и собственное лечение.
This is so cool! Got chills running down my arms, neck and back with the impactful sound design and visuals. I really hope this gets featured somewhere bc holy crap, this is incredible!!!
Я после вставки с кораблём, подумал, что это иллюзия, после 20 летнего сна, а оказывается вы решили сделать гуд эндинг. Интересное
I like the way it jumps from one possibility to the next. Just like the game.
Gives me goosebumps. Well done. And excellent music choice. For those who don't have Russian keyboards -
the name of the song is "Берегите берёзы" by "Почему коммутатор молчит".
CURLY GETTING A BETTER ENDING OMG? I LOVE THIS SM. IM SO GLAD THERE WASNT A "and then i woke up" AT THE END
Same here. Also nice pfp! Till…
@@rebelturtle7494 till blinked gone but at least curly didnt...
I hope he can honor his lost crew mates by telling their story and living on for them. Save for a certain co-pilot, they were all good people who deserved better.
Lowkey wish the game had multiple endings where like everyone survived just so we could get more background lore on them
God I’m just so obsessed with this, pacing around mentally rn.
Brother he just floated the idea of crashing the ship because he didn't want to go to jail, *you. need. to. jettison him.*
At this point Curly has been given a second chance to take responsibility post-mortem for Jimmy's crimes; Swansea had a wife and children, Daisuke had parents. He could go to them and give them the closure and apologies they deserve, if they're still alive, because Curly was the one who let this happen.
I hope he gets to live happily. I like the attention to detail with the very last scene.
The artists in this fandom are so incredibly skilled. Just wow.
i just LOVE the detail of the bandage getting wet with curly's tear
0:36 why dd the woman look at Curly like that? Do they think hes responsible for crashing the ship? :(
Most likely they did think that. Assuming everyone on the ship believed Curly had been responsible, that thought may have been held by the doctors as well.
@@pitu2209 If he has hand prosthetics he can write out everything that had happened and easily disprove that
@@basedintellectual9704 Does the Tulpar have cameras?
@@ΡΙΖΟΣΚΡΑΒΒΑΡΙΤΗΣ probably not because they like to "cut corners"
@@basedintellectual9704Right, right. Then again, capitalism's number one trait is Watching It's Workers To Make Sure They're Not Resting. So up to personal headcanon.
Edir right after writing : Frankly, I just want them to finally get Curly a way to communicate somehow, he tells the what happened, they don't believe him, and after a while they finally find the old camera footage they were searching for. Cue lots of comforting a quadruple amputee burn victim that was traumatised from watching all his friends die. I just want a happy or even bittersweet ending for him.
Poor Curly... I'm really happy that he's back on earth instead of dying in space and I really hope things get better for him even if i know chances are they probably won't given he's limbless and disfigured
what makes u think limbless and disfigured people can’t live fulfilling lives?
@eliphobic6607 This!! So many people forget that disabled and traumatized people exist in real life and are able to find happiness.
@eliphobic6607 idn, he's not only crippled, but also experienced horrific traumatic situations
Ohhh this is gonna make me cry. Very healing to see him make it, see him be ok despite it all. It’s incredibly well made and the pacing/emotion is fantastic. Thank you so much for making this
The one prosthetic leg being longer than the other is a nice touch
really off topic but your art style really makes curly's bandages look so much more clean and soft
Maybe the doctors changed them
@ekaterinaobraztsova4631 that was obvious
now i need that art of curly with his prosthetics
I think he’s have a motor wheelchair too! It would be much easier to use and travel with and way less painful!!
And I bet once he fully healed he found a way to reveal the truth behind Jimmy's evil.
Это невероятно. Как представлю, какая трагедия произошла в жизни Кёрли. Это буквально перевернуло его существование с ног на голову. 😔
Losing my mind over how INSANELY GOOD THIS IS, THIS IS INCREDIBLE
I liked both endings i thought this video gave me. THe first, of course is rthat he actually gets to heal.
THe one i thought that happened was that he halucinated him being saved, or imagined it, while the air supply ran out or the cryo pod ran out of power. That ending wouldve been so on theme with the game in how gutwrenching that wouldve been. very nice animation
I like to imagine that technolgy is so advanced that curly may be able to be a little functional
OK I WAS ABOUT TO START SOBBING AND THEN YOU PULLED THE TWIST-TWIST ENDING
ty tho he deserved that ending
oh god this is so well made ... i felt really bad for curly .. waking up after 20 years and yet he as to overcome his traumas and try to live "normally" again after everyting..
I love this animation, please dont get carried away by 7 bald eagles
this is canon in my head now and you can not tell me otherwise
That was really fucking good. I love the first shot of curly shedding a tear while in the hospital bed
0:55 That tear, poor man :(
At the very least he can take solace in his ability *to* cry.
ОФИГЕТЬ ЭТО КРУТО, АЖ МУРАШКИ ПО КОЖЕ ОТ АТМОСФЕРЫ
I feel bad for Curly, I say I make bad decisions and for me that makes it more human, it's not perfect, they're not good, but it's not bad either, I'm just saying that, I hope this game has a continuation, an ending. Happy or not, I just want to see what happens... Although I doubt they will make a second delivery
By the way, rot jimmy
I prefer the idea that he survives, sure the game is tragic but honestly i think him dying while the last thing he ever sees or hear is Jimmy going on his insane rambling about having "fixed it" is worse
I agree
i hated the fact that Curly didnt stand up for Anya, but i know he was trying to be good for everyone, heck even jimshit, but in the end everyone ended up dying except for Curly, he has to live with his trauma and regrets
I cannot imagine having to go back to normalcy after going through all of that. It feels almost inhumane
What would be more sad is if he was woken up in only a couple weeks, an amount of time everyone could have survived
I WANTED SO BADLY TO SEE AN ANIMATION LIKE THIS HELL YEAH
The way u portrayed this outcome was amazing, and your art looks incredible!!
Who is the "they" mentioned at 1:28? The whole crew is dead.
I guess its implying the crew waiting for him in the afterlife when it is his time to die or i might be wrong.

i LOVE the details in the end.
The prosthetic legs, the wheelchair, the mask, the pills, the scars omg I love this you’re really good at art
Edit; and the ship as well!! It’s exactly how I imagined it!! I keep noticing new things about this i am genuinely amazed this is AWESOME
Poor Curly, he has to live with the trauma and guilt after being saved :(
I just hope he learns to cope despite everything, the only good thing about this is that he doesn't have to have Jimmy as his last memory before he dies, ive seen alot of fanart with surviving Curly and i love the fact that they all give him a service dog lol
This is amazing It’s really interesting to think of what could’ve happened after the game ended you did amazing job with keep up the great work.

Автор большой молодец. Очень локаничная работа, особенно, для фанатской
I like that this animation as well as the game itself leaves a lot of questions and a double ending
