  • Broken power locks on your Toyota Land Cruiser or Lexus LX470? This video will show you how to fix the door lock actuator on your 100 series for cheap. The part costs about $5! You can DIY by changing the Mabuchi motor.
This happened to my driver's side door on my 1999 Lexus LX470 (Toyota Land Cruiser) and I'll show you how. Replacing the lock motor instead of the full actuator will save you hundreds of dollars. This method will probably work for almost any car - I'm all about that DIY life!

Thanks for the video, may try this soon. It's been about a month, how's the door lock working?

It’s really good. I actually changed the passenger first and then the rear passenger died and then changed that. After a couple months the drivers side passenger died and then the driver haha. My luck sucks cause I kept saying I would do the others later and they kept dying haha. Now they’re all good for now. The trunk may die and will have to change that. The drivers side door is the hardest of them all though.

I’m in WA state. I personally don’t have a ton of time, but know a mechanic that could help you.
