Great walkthrough for the actuator, with surprisingly good editing to speed up and slow down where appropriate.

I will add that the white cable holder is a bear to get off easily, also I had two separate types of shafts for my motors, one was d shaped and another had a brass bushing on the shaft. Easy job once you do one. Thanks for sharing this video.

Excellent video. Question: the front passenger side lock has not worked with the remote or the in car button for years, but lately when it is very hot outside, the other locks also will not work. This is an intermittent problem. If I replace the actuator that never works, would that correct the issue with the others? Or are they independent issues?

I'm not sure about that one, but I have had similar issues with a loose connection on the back of the drivers side window controls.

My lc100 all 4 doors not working in the heat condition and specifically in the day time only

One thought: before putting the door cover back on, briefly attaching the door switches and confirm the actuator is working. Then put the door cover back on.

Awesome! Do you think the back door (swing type) uses the same Actuator motor?

I have not checked it, but I believe so.

yep, I should have probably added to the video that there is a lot of brittle plastic in there :D

6:02 you didn’t remove the second clip why did you cut the video ?
No way did you break it ! 😂

Not just the second clip, the whole piece of plastic shattered. :P
In retrospect, I probably should have left it in as I am sure its happened to other people.

Sorry if you mentioned it in the video but were the symptoms in all of your doors or just the one?

Hi, It started with one, but then the others began to play up so I did them all.

I have a 2010 LC 200 D4D. The doors can be locked and unlocked withaout any problems with the remote.
My issue is when I drive the car, the doors unlock themselves especially when the road is in poor condition in the bush or elsewhere. And sometimes, in a good road, they unlock themselves when I turn in a left curve.....
Is it may be the same issue as yours ?

    • @lookupnlive
      @lookupnlive  2 года назад

Hi Olivier, I don't think that would be the same issue. I would guess that would be related to a wiring issue or possible a faulty door switch.
