- Car companies won't do it even though it would cost them next to nothing to do it. Experts have been over thinking the solutions when it's plain that a back to basics solution is needed. This could reduce car theft by over 50% but car companies, insurance companies and Police are telling you to get tracking devices and buy a Club. Lord save us all.
I hate new cars, so much so, that I will likely never own a newer car than my 2017, I think vehicle manufactures need to think about this. Sure I could afford to go buy a new car today, but I don't want their crap technology, the subscriptions, the spyware, the hotspot(my phone spy is enough), maps etc. Proud owner of a 1965, 2001, 2008, and 2017.

Its easy - one tool job Guiseppe - go to Amazon - Safego remote battery disconnect - relay with 2 remotes - just bolt it on - instructions come with it - or try a YT video

Every time you disconnect the battery the computers will need to relearn tuning fuel alcohol ratio etc not to mention when you go for emissions tests you will not have run enough run cycles. People that don't know enough about modern vehicles should not be giving car advice. All you have to do is rewire the telematics so it is only powered on when the key is on. Better yet just disable the telematics or better yet, refuse to but vehicles at stupid prices and they will stop putting on all the useless shit on them

Customers won't feel relearning procedures of fuel etc - emission tests are being phased out everywhere - just leave it on for a few days - good luck re-wiring your telematics - you'll just brick it - disconnect it it no nav or phone - bad idea - don't believe it? - disconnect an Rfhub on a Dodge
Were theres a will theres a way ,car thiefs think ahead like the guy in the money , its there easy livelyhood bread & butter,,but we get it reduced the changes of just anyone making harder n longer , some thiefs go for attemps ,cant get it now come back later figured out with tools ready,,,

Yeah people can figured out ,using cigarette lighter charger to zap it n open hood, no power battery manual shut down turn on,, n no alarm they can get master key unlocked steering colum put it in neutral push it out , tow bar ,towed , figured out later in a contril enclosed enviroment for signals gps tracking or electric magnetic devices ,
Can't use a cig lighter - battery is disconnected - most steering has no lock these days - towing a vehicle cost a lot more time money and equipment making it much harder for the thieves
