Tell you what Barry, I’ll hate EVs so you don’t have to!
thats kind of you 😂
@@BarrieCrampton I love the EVs made in the 1800s, Jay leno has a lovely example.
If they made them like that: lightweight, comfortable, long range, simple safe batteries, they would be selling. What we are offered however, is the opposite.
My local Jaguar dealer has now been closed by Jaguar and all the staff made redundant. All because of their insane decision to try and sell EVs only, which won’t work because no one will buy them. It’s a tragedy seeing such a great marque destroyed on the false altar of climate change
Are you sure Jaguar closed it? Sure dealer didn't hand the franchise back?
Jaguar has committed commercial suicide... Imagine hoarding your money, reputation, then making a huge bet on a three legged horse in the race...betting the farm on EV's, only to find they're absolute second hand pants. Someone's brushing up their CV, that's for sure.
@@DaleSteel No. JLR have closed 18 dealers throughout the country as a start. They are only keeping the ones in areas that they identify as wealthy in the hope they will buy their overpriced EV.
Well the next gen Tesla Roadster will have a waiting list at a very expensive price. There will even be a Space X edition. So there is a market but not as big initially.
@@chrisaris8756 It's probably a combination of who decides to close, when there are no sales, someone has to blink first.
When they start calling you names, they’ve lost the debate!! They just can’t admit they were wrong and should just be ignored.
Every time the government manipulates the market, the law of unintentional consequences comes back with a vengeance. I piety the average joe who brought a model 3 in 2020?
RIP to average Joes that went out and bought Taycans because they thought they would hold their values.
Any interference in the free market hurts merit. EVs have basically been inadvertantly sabotaged by government.
They bought Tycans as a lot of Porsche dealer told them if they want to have access to the waiting list for the next Porsche release they buy a Tycan. They would buy one and then it would instantly go on sale on the dealers for court.
This is fascinating. We are really seeing the same sort of financial/data shenanigans as in the leadup to the subprime mortgage crisis. And I'm sure you're right; we're on the edge of a disaster.
yes thats a good way of putting it
Why don’t people blame the government instead of blaming the Manufacturers or dealers that are trying to survive with the impossible rules that the government has imposed.
Not enough know about the £15k sting in the tail...
Barrie has a point; sales people can be extremely lazy. I was in sales at a main dealership back in the day, and you wouldn't believe the amount of dross. Half of them weren't cut out for it, and some were just zoo animals in a power suit. But you're right, the government mandates have messed up the motor trade good and proper. The Fully Charged Shit-Show is equally to blame, as they lie through their teeth to make EVs appear more capable than they are. It's literally a circus. Glad I'm out of it.
Agree with it or not this is the financial cost of net zero that nobody talks about. The car manufacturers are reacting to government policy that will kill entire industries
That’s the point !!!
@@twomuch77 And then us, which is the primary point.
I Pick up my daughters new fiat 500 last week. Salesman said this is last petrol versions of 500’s as they introduce full electric. I said how many Electric Fiat Abarths do you sell? He said hardly any!
Car companies are committing literal suicide.
Not only that but we now don't get some models because they have to sell a % of electric, and a petrol version actually hurts them.
@@sharpbodies8992 And Fiat are now re introducing the petrol 500 so that salesman was lying as they are desperate to sell EVs
lots of them pre registered and just languishing fr sale used
He maybe said that but he's wrong as they are now having to remodel the chassis of the fiat 500 to put a petrol (hybrid) engine in, due to EV sales dwindling
It's the government rules that's the problem, not so much the dealers. If the market were not rigged, they'd just sell more ICE and do alright.
This is like the Enron scandal. Pulling future sales into the current accounting period. Each accounting period gets harder and the lie gets bigger until ... boom collapse !
A perfect analogy philip .
There was plenty of this when I was a sales rep for ford....15 years ago
@paulhayes2189 not on such a massive scale, and they were pre registered by dealers not the manufacturers, then parked on an airfield for 2 years 😂
enjoyed your chat with Geoff, fully support your views. All the best fella
I wouldn’t buy an EV as my daily driver no matter the price. It’s a failed technology. I drive a mint 12 year old diesel and I’ll drive it for another 12 years - and I’m far from broke, I live in the biggest house in town and I drive past all these little terraced houses with brand new cars outside them - I find it ridiculous.
😂 fucking hell, deluded
OMG! Exact same here. We have our heads screwed on.
Ditto. My 8 year old CRDi tourer will last me another 15 years if I can help it.

Hi Barrie,I drive a Ev i used about 35% on my uber taxi evening, imagine how i felt when a £286 job come in leyland to london, and having to knock it back because i would have needed a 1 hour charger, evs are nice to drive but not for everyone
Wow. Such a shocking dose of EV reality. Me personally, I’m not a fan. I recently purchased a brand new Golf GTI and I’m getting over 42mpg from a car that can do 155mph! And it probably won’t depreciate like an EV either. Not in my time of ownership anyway. Great video Barrie, as always. Thanks for posting them and keep them coming!
Thank you so much for the honesty of your reporting. If I’m being completely honest I do not have time for car dealers. Todays dealers are ‘all’ about profit, irregular practices, lies, misrepresentation, devious, underhand, conning manipulation and all for what, self-satisfaction and greed at any cost to the customer. Whatever happened to the good old car dealer who had a degree of honestly, who cared about their customers and their relationship, even the older wheelers and dealers look like angels compared to today’s rogue’s. You talked about the gentleman who has sadly passed away, who had spent his life servicing, selling and maintained Volvo’s, that gentleman probably had more respect for his customers in one day than any of today’s rogues show in a lifetime.
Couldn't agree more.
The Times and the Telegraph both ran articles on the costs of an EV. Charging on motorways have skyrocketed.
Charging on the road costs a clear twice the costs of petrol or diesel. I think thats being better known now. EV shills will tell you to use an overnight tariff to cut costs, but they're less clear on how I do this with an outside parking space and a fifth floor apartment...
😂 talk about bitter @@FirstLast-rh9jw
@@FirstLast-rh9jwyou don't
@@FirstLast-rh9jw I believe the Telegraph article said “up to” twice as expensive as ICE cars. The up to was based on the highest public EV charging costs that there are. Most people that regularly charge at public EV charging stations don’t pay any where near this amount.
Wait until they start putting the fuel duty on the electricity plus 20% vat trouble is if you have an electric car you will be almost forced to charge at motorway service stations due to lack of chargers else where so they will fleece you like they do with petrol and diesel.
This is a result of an overbearing and authoritarian government in the first world countries. I'm assuming that the manufacturers and politicians expected greater rewards on the back of the EV mandates. Higher margins for the manufacturer, greater control of the product after sales and the government gets greater income in taxes on the higher value vehicles. Once again the ordinary punter is screwed.
If EVs were better than current technology then they would sell well, without the need for a mandate from the politicians.
The MG4 showed up legacy dealers, with their silly prices 24 months ago, and just never recovered.
Barrie this is a ticking time bomb and it will come down hard. The issue is that almost noone wants to buy an EV who didn’t buy one already.
It all comes down to price.
@@virtual-viking some people will never want one. I wouldn’t want one even if it’s cheaper, because it simply doesn’t fit my use case. I don’t drive daily but when I drive, I drive long distances and I have to be back same day. No time for charging in a service station over 200 miles from home before heading back. I also need a large car with a boot that can accommodate a large load. Both for weight and dimensions. So a hatchback won’t suffice and the weight carried in the boot further reduces the range too. I have a diesel tourer that gives me almost 700 miles with a tank and has a huge boot. Unless electric cars get to perform the same way, I don’t want one, however cheap.
I’ve watched reviews of your’s , you come across as knowledgeable and professional, take no notice of trolls…

Thanks making video. Been in trade 20 years. Not a happy place at the moment in used cars.
The question is, how many dealers and manufacturers need to go bust before the government reverses its EV mandates.
The fact is, the government doesn't care about people and communities. Look what Thatcher did to the mining community in the eighties.
Great question. But the thing is, I think governments have been infiltrated by the Net-Zero scammers who want very few people to own a car. They want to reverse a century of progress and want to make ordinary people not able to own cars. The EV is a less capable, more expensive piece of disposable equipment. It has no soul and feels as alive as a personal computer. I’ve driven EVs and they are one trick ponies; the acceleration is wild but that’s it. Cornering suffers due to the weight. By that I mean the cornering is clinical. There is no ability to have the tyres slightly break friction, except through brute force and you hear them tear up. An EV isn’t chuckable, at least in my experience.
Your video with Jeff was brilliant! I'm sure you'd get much more engagement if you did content on your options based on your years of experience and gut feeling of what's happening in the market. Keep up the good work!
Some of you may have noticed that there is a small conflict going on in the Middle East and also Russia, two of the biggest oil producing regions and yet the price of oil hasn't risen much. Good news perhaps, but if that doesn't tell you that the oil industry isn't feeling threatened by electric vehicles then I don't know what does. Surely it proves that oil is being price fixed to ensure the customer base stays loyal, it does to me. Government incentives to switch to BEVs are minuscule compared to the incentives being offered to keep people addicted to burning oil.
@@st200ol and yet you can charge an EV at home but no one has a cheap petrol pump in their drive, and we pay 20% vat and 53p per litre fuel tax 😂
You do know that oil prices are fixed but not by Western nations. Ever heard of OPEC?
@@bp8339 Yes of course I've heard of OPEC, I suppose the point I was trying to make was, would the price of fuel at the pumps stayed constant and in many cases actually gone down over the past few weeks with what has been going on the Middle East if there was no such thing as an electric vehicle? Price fixing is always a balancing act, and we'll never know but my bet is no. OPEC is frightened about scaring away its customer base with higher prices, speculation on my part but I bet that discussion has happened or is happening. By the way OPEC has headquarters in Vienna Austria, last time I looked Austria was a Western nation.
Is my point pointless though, probably, just me rambling on a Sunday morning. 🙂
MG are discounting the MG4 from $40,000+ in Australia 12 months ago, to $27990. My friend is furious after paying full freight last year to save $20 a week in fuel. He has lost $500 a week in depreciation.
I love the terminology of 'pre-registered'. These are cars registered to the dealership. You can't register a car before you register a car, much like you can't heat an over before you heat an oven. Once done, well... it's done.😊 On the government interfering with businesses by forcing, through penalty of fine, they are destroying both the car industry and the idea of choice. Not that this is anything new, as government forces many things upon a hapless citizenry. The main problem [disclaimer: FOR ME] is that the argument of buying an EV to improve a problem that is neither quantified nor serves its purpose proves the falicy in their argument. Empirical evidence be damned... we say buying a new EV is better for the environment, as is giving us more money (because you know taking money cleans air and and teaches the behaviours we want you to have). Is there a case for EVs? Yes. Can they serve a meaningful purpose? Yes. Do they solve the promoted problem effectively and efficiently? The jury is, at best, out and, at worst, proving otherwise. Keep up the good work, Barrie.
Clocking cars upwards is an old motor trade trick. At a Rover dealership back in the day, we got a batch of 3 year old pre registered Montegos, all with 2 figure mileages. Nobody in their right mind would buy a car that had sat unused for 3 years, so these vehicles were clocked with a selection of mileages between 8k & 15k. They were given to us sales lads to rag around a bit, and then they were sold as if they were low mileage 3 year old cars. They sold like hot cakes.
If you think about it; if EVs are truly a superior technology then they will have no problem selling themselves in the marketplace..... but "only if they fit your needs" means that they are not.
If you flood the second hand market with pre-registered cars it will not only collapse the second-hand market but it will collapse new car sales as well because people will realise the amount of depreciation involved and will think twice about making a "private purchase".
The only real incentives are in fleet car purchases.
Who in these financially challenging times, is prepared to throw good money after bad?
Bought few cars recently and dealers aren't even bothered now to chase you up, they really couldn't care if they lost a sale or not, more bothered if they lose a friend on Facebook

It takes longer time to charge an EV, but for the most part, that's time when you're sleeping blissfully in your bed - so it's hardly a problem.
@@virtual-viking try selling it after 4/5 years ? You'll SEE the PROBLEM then !
@@johnnydoe1984 What you fail to understand is that as long as you're replacing your used EV with a new one, you'll be saving at least as much on the new one as you're loosing in depreciation on the used one, because lower prices on new EVs are what causes the used car prices to go down in the first place.
Besides, if you think used ICE car prices will levitate while used EVs keep falling below each respective price point, you've got be kidding me. That's not how a free market works.
You say it is not the manufacturers fault. Hmmm, it is a large powerful industry that historically had laws passed to suit its commercial interest. So why have laws been passed that are contrary to its interest?
It would seem that the government's EV mandate has backfired spectacularly as EVs would have probably sold better if they hadn't meddled in the market.
I learned something new this weekend, our taxi drivers often travel from Bradford to Leeds for work. Lots of them now have 21/22 plate teslas. Our driver had a 21 plate LR like mine, I complimented on him and asked how he liked it etc. He explained Braford council is giving £10k grants to Taxi drivers to buy EV's hence why they all getting low mileage ones for around £25k less the grant. What a perfect setup that is. His fuel bills have dropped massively. I suspect this will take out most of the prime stock at a local level.

Yeh it’s stupid week .. because they’re living it !
When the government gets involved in our purchases is always worrying. There is a place for a battery car but also other fuel types but the forced ban is only going to end in heartache. I have recently had 3 phase installed on my farm for workshop equipment so I have an ideal source of charging power. Perhaps I should have more chargers fitted and the locals could use them? I worry about what will happen with EV's in the future in respect to software and longevity and what damage is being done by the mining for raw materials in battery production. Our farm used to have shire horses and in my idyllic thoughts maybe I should bring them back although the farming will take longer and need more people.
100% business logic and sense Barry, what’s needed is you having a little slot on the tonight program for half an hour to project this to the masses & reverse some of this pressure - like you, I don’t hate EV’s, had a couple, but they don’t suit all needs, I always say that a car is a convenience, if you need to make more than a few allowances for your car, can you call it a convenience any more?? Problem is, the logic and reality of EV’s to the public have always been smoke and mirrors…. that also needs to change - dealers doing this are going to drag the motor trade backwards and destroy public trust in the process
Yeap, I just bought a new car. 12 year old Petrol. Fits my lifestyle, and more importantly I can support and fix it myself. Like most people, I would not have an EV even if it was giving to me FOC.

I own & Drive a Jaguar Ipace on a 71 plate, LOVE IT! fabulous car, well made and brought 2nd hand for £26K. Faultless and so reliable, Can't explain how pleased I am with it
Bearing in mind the IPace’s originally started *from* around £65k from new… that’s absolutely insane levels of depreciation in just a few years.
£26k? Someone dumped £50k to make your dream EV experience, I don't think that is sustainable. EVs can be very nice, but the subsidies and fines twist the market so the EVs people want to buy don't get made.
I can’t explain how pleased you are with it either…..

I’ve driven an ev since 2014 when I got my first Leaf, I’ve never had a ice car since. My wife and I both drive ev’s and neither of us would ever go back. The savings are massive, my wife drives an mg 5 with 60000 miles and it’s never seen a garage! The only thing it’s had is one set of tires. I don’t understand why anyone would drive a stinky diesel or petrol car, they just don’t make sense.

Ouch Barrie, thats gonna leave a mark! So it seems if you're in the market for a nearly new EV, wait till next year. With regard to Jaguar, not only did they jump too early to all EV, ' they bet on the wrong end of the market, a chinese car will be a third of the price and be as good if not better. Full disclosure, i have a 2016 Honda Civic diesel that over 42000 mil has averaged 65mpg with no road tax.
Two great talks Barrie. I traded a Kuga PHEV for a MachE SR RWD in March. It was a lot less than a new Kuga PHEV. Also, on EV brakes (in Geoffbuyscars) I agree and stay away from one pedal, and use the foot brake in general use. The safest way to buy is Lease or PCP, the costs are fixed. Two well balanced presentation.
An inconvenient truth for those who swallow the SMMT statistics. The reality is that pre-reg exercises have been a mainstay of the business in the UK for years, aside from the pandemic period. However, pre reg on this scale with supply so out of kilter with demand is unheard of. I’ve heard of volume OEMs telling retailers to hold back ICE registrations until they sold the required number of BEVs OR take the fine themselves! You can envisage some of the franchise network moving to focus on used or giving up new at this rate.
Barrie, don't take any notice of the EVangelists. The Yanks have that great saying, "You can't fjx stupid!"
I started in the motor trade 45 years ago and for the first 40 years it was the best job in the world.
Sadly now all the great people gone retired, left the trade or gone to the big car lot in the sky, luckily I now just trade from my small unit with minimal overheads.
I just can’t see how many dealerships will survive the EV debacle over the next couple of years.

Very good video with Geoff.
In 90s and very earlys 00s car ownership was a completely different game. If you had a bmw back then even a 7 year old one you was a someone. Bmw were very expensive compared to the usual mondeo cavaloer montego etc. Even if you had a base spec 518i that didnt come with a head unit your were somebody. It was a status symbol. Its hard to imagine it nowadays but if you catch some old videos from 90s on youtube youll be shocked how cars were such a status symbol. I was only a child at time but i saw it but its even hard for me to comprehend just how shallow people were back then. Lol
Agreed, it's been like that for decades, I was a kid when a Ford owner was very aware of status by whether he or she had an L or a GL or a GXL. Anyone who had a Ghia was a God. I've never been bothered by status, but yes I wanted a Granada Ghia 2.8 like you wouldn't believe.
My dad bought a brand new BMW 520i in 1981. It was really something, you felt special when you rode in it. At the time it was the next step up the ladder from something like a Ford Granada and a couple of steps down from a Rolls Royce. Now every other car you see seems to be a BMW. The same goes for Mercs and Audi's. Our father passed away in 2009. We decided to keep his car because it was in such good condition. We still have it today, it's a 1993 Mercedes 190E and it's got about 78,000 miles on the clock. Thinking about it now, it was at about the time that everything started to go wrong. This car was the last of the proper Mercedes!
only in your own mind ,no one else gave a fuck

A no brainer, for commuting 50mile round trip and you charge at home at 7p a kW BUT you pay 74p a kW on a public charger (Ionity)
Bearinmind that's 4 miles a kW in an efficient EV nearly 20p a mile.
So don't use Ionity! 🤷

Is this just EVs, I did a search on autotrader for cars with less than 100 miles with in 50 miles of me, 579 came up of which 112 are BEVs. Looking at individual cars there's an awful lot of pre-reg petrol cars too, and there were 97 diesels with less than 100 miles.
The motor trade eating itself then complaining about it. A drop in second hand prices is good for the consumer.
Motor companys have been had, this ev thing is to bancrupt them and nothing else..
Just like Covid bankrupted the high street and Uber destroyed minicabs. It’s all so big private capital can monopolize the market and then you’ll have to buy what you’re sold and boom there goes your right to choose the car you want - you’ll be forced to lease the car they want you to have. And government is complicit in this crime.
Good I'm all for it
As you know. Internet opinions are like funny brummies .. “they are everywhere, and mostly full of chit”.. the simple math of EV ownership is, cost per mile, speed and ability to charge. They were given a free pass for the green dream, but the infrastructure and the cost/availability of charging just made them less of a functional tool than an ICE vehicle.. it’s a numbers game. Usable hours v recharge hours v recharge price.. and petrol still wins in this math.😊
Very informative, factual and balanced. I think the rumours of charge per mile in the budget will be a barrier to ev sales even though ev's don't contribute as much in tax overall as internal combustion cars. So what will the Labour government do -my guess is try and tax the ICE vehicles off the road which will have an inflationary effect on food prices etc. I have solar panels and we are looking at buying an electric car but my 2006 Diesel focus keeps passing the MOT! Your video and the one with Jeff have made us stop and think. Thank you
At some point this has to rear it's head into the public domain. Someone/companys is losing huge amounts of money. Bankruptcy and closures must be in the post.
So EVs "are a superior technology" and are going to be sold off at bargain prices.
Great news for the customer.
The Sustainable Development Doomsday Death Cult won't be happy until we're all on carbon and calorie rationing.
I would hang on to that Focus diesel for as long as possible, as a back up . Imagine if you put your electric car on charge over night and there is a power cut so the battery is still flat, nobody is going to get to work on that morning.
Why would it be flat? Would a petrol car have zero fuel on the drive after a journey?
What I'd do with either is quite radical, I'd drive them to the nearest filling station or charger.
If I leave mine on 20%, I just have to find a charger within a 50 miles radius, that's less than most commutes. Don't need to wait for a full charge, might be a tad late, slightly inconvenient.
If I leave mine on 10% (which I wouldn't do), Still not seeing an issue, I could easily get to a nearby rapid and continue after 10 mins or so.
Now let's say the petrol car needs the first trip to the pumps, wife left it empty, only to find the filling station closed. That happened to me, Asda, not some tiny outlet. Diversion to another and that entire exercise took me an hour.
Who knows, maybe they had a power fault and the electric fork pumps didn't work?
Same problem, same outcome. 🤷
Yes the point I was making is if the batteries were flat and the power was off in the whole area you would not be able to charge any where Your petrol or diesel would provide you with transport as long as you haven't run the tank dry personally I fill up again when it's down to half a tank . Nothing will work in the modern world without electricity.
@@StuartPearson-mj7uz But the EV won't be completely flat. It will have 10/20%, enough to drive plenty beyond the likely affected area. Power cuts are typically local, what radius are we talking? postcode area or within 20 to 50 miles entire radius? NEVER happens.
As you said, nothing will work in a world without electricity, including the electric fuel pumps.
Like I said, if the car has returned home fuel light on and parked, that may have only 10 miles on a cold engine. Same scenario.
Both vehicles need the same solution.
@@djtaylorutube ok glad you are happy with your E.V
The parallel story to this is, if you're aware of what's happening and are able to meet your needs, you can get a cracking deal on an EV, pre reg or brand new. I've just bought an EV brand new, serious discount off the list price, 0% APR and a home charger completely free. I knew the EV market was on it's knees for a while and was looking to replace my ICE car, so it made sense to take advantage of it whilst the situation presents itself.

I have had my 17 year old MX5 for about eight years and it still looks great. Its handling is legendary in part because its so low mass and not loaded up with a ton of batteries. "Recharging" takes about two minutes to 100% without need to wait 30+ minutes or more for one or more people to get off the "pump". I have ever needed to divert to find a 'recharging point' from an app. This makes 'recharging' almost instantaneous and anywhere so the car can be considered as having infinite range.
Another calm, unbiased and informative video, Barrie, Thanks. As you & Geoff said, where have these older cars been stored for the last 2-3 years when they only have very low mileage? What deterioration has taken place regarding fluids / brakes / tyres / paintwork? Regarding negligible vehicle description / photos, I wouldn't consider a purchase of a car from any dealer that couldn't be bothered to provide decent information; if they can't make the effort to sell a vehicle, then how likely are they to ensure it's been properly prepped, or provide good customer service in case of any problems?
Absolute fascinating insight into how autotrader works and the real truth about the state of the motor trade with particular attention to the EV market. It appears that governments no longer want market forces to prevail. They want to interfere at every level, telling you what to buy and why. It's time common sense, and market forces allow customers to decide what they want. We are in for some hard times where some big manufacturers will go under. Keep up the good work highlighting the continued lies being told over and over again.
Some UK Lease Companies have previously committed to batch EV deals. They sat on them for too long and the OEM does a deal with another lease company with a greater discount.
That said lease company has them sat in storage for 24+ months (registered to the leaseco).
After 24 months or a set period of time, the leaseco tells the dealer to sell it at auction and or give us a buy back price.
Dealer buys it back at a massive loss to the leaseco.
Dealer registers it to themselves and then sells on a forecourt and or auction.
This is why you see 24 months old vehicles on auto trader with delivery only mileage and possibly 3 keepers.
I won't name the lease company but it's a known leasing issue!
What are the repair costs like after the manufacturer warranty runs out
Charging an EV is now more expensive that filling with petrol or diesel AND its only going to get more expensive as the electric price rises...Biggest con in history of motoring.
Public fast charging works out to be around the same as filling up a petrol car. Charging at home for 7p kw/hr is insanely cheap at around £5 to do 350 miles.
@@eastwood978public fast charging works out at virtually double the cost of petrol.
Yeah thanks buddy, I was thinking of buying an EV You’ve just made my mind up petrol only I think I’ve also noticed my neighbour just sold is Ev And gone back to his old diesel, I didn’t ask him why but I can guess
Thanks Geoff another great video.
Great news for EV buyers. Genuinely Barrie sounds under pressure and needs to take care. The motor trade has always played games with registering cars. Some old tech cars such as Leafs, Corsa-e, Peugeots, Citroens and IPace will not sell.
Hi Barrie i hope your Sunday has been good , I was reading today the govt is thinking of giving EVs to people in exchange for their old petrol cars , So yeah EVs are going to have to be given away soon as that will be the only way they will be shifted lol
A fascinating insight into the reality of a highly distorted market. Thanks for your expertise.
This is nonsense, there are 27,000 cars ‘24 reg less than 500 miles - all fuel types on auto trader today, 5400 are electric. Looks like they are all are being re-registered. - It’s been going on for years - Little or Nothing to do with ‘govt quotas’ . It’s the way the industry works, chasing monthly sales targets or ‘loss leaders’, especially when there is less money around, people feeling the pinch at the moment & not that interested in cars !
Barrie has a big DPF
So how much cheaper are these EX30s than the new ones?
Not much.
I never realized until you showed up what is going on , i thanks , i will be so careful now
Loving your videos... Question...if someone wanted to buy one of these pre reg ex30s what's the best strategy...phone up and offer them £25k cash?
Asking for a friend 😂
JFYI. You cannot hear the podcast on full volume
Says it all when nearly 3 years old car is still sitting on lot with no milage.
Barrie you talk so much sense and ev is not the way forward ….hopefully the public see through the lies
Do You have to pay to get them scrapped??
Is it the manufactures that get hit with the"fine"? If so I am sorry they signed up with government policy for EV's and did not make a big stand against it. I can't see how the dealers should bear the brunt of fines on EV vehicles they can't sell, basically people don't wont.
interesting video Barrie thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
