@@nholt Pioneer FH-S722BS. It's been working great for me so far. I bought it from Crutchfield because the conversion kit and wire harness converter came with the radio for no extra charge. I'd recommend checking out their site because they will tell you what will work for your vehicle and what modifications you need so there is no guess work.

But I use it every so often when I need to throw stuff or hawl something. What kind of radio did u buy and where did u find the kitt. I want to do something just like that to my dakota. This is a great video and all but I think were a lot of us are having issues at least I know I am. The speed sensor wire. Where does that hook up at from the stereo??
@@Jakemckeen not possible because it measures speed same with GPS. They are not just a wire that gets ground out. Between the 3 there is no cheating it. Why would you lie and try to set people up for failure? Are you really that sad? I call BS. Let's see proof that you can bypass it. Or better yet. that you yourself have even done that 1 time in your life. Let's see it
But does it work? I've heard that some Dakotas/Durangos have separate discreet amplifiers and getting aftermarket radios to work with those is a real PITA.
The "discreet " amps are usually not a problem if you use the correct wiring harness. If they are the amps are located on the passenger side under the dash bolted to the outer wall of the cab. Right next to the lower dash mount bolt on the passenger side.
Quick question if thats alright. I'm not so confident in my ability to actually cut the frame all that much. Is there a raido like you got but that just fits in well without having to trim anything?
What brand and model# was the radio? I have a 99 dodge ram 2500 and it looks like you had the exact same OEM radio as mine. I'm thinking of buying a Boss 6.2 inches 2 din unit.

if l were you l would keep that old stereo for something else. l always loved the stock dodge stereos with all of the manual switches on them.

I always bypass that wire, I would google or RUclips whatever stereo you have and how to bypass the speed sensor

Should have made a shim in the back of the radio would take u 1t mins to pull off measure cut a shim and install again

No, this will only work with the 97-00 Dakota and 98-00 Durango. The 2001 to 03/04 are the facelift models and use a different dashboard and bezel.
