had 6 out of 8 snap off with the tool, so I just yanked the wire out of them and screwed a drywall screw into it as far as it would go (without drilling just using hole wire pulled out of) then grabbed the screw with needle nose vise grips and used a flat screw driver under to pry up and they popped out. I'm in the rust belt in Indiana so nothing is ever easy. only wish I had ordered the harness before they all broke.....
How do you do that while the engine is in the compartment? Doing this on a school bus and have maybe 2 inches to get my hand in through let alone tools

I have the special tool to pull the glow plug connector but most of the time it breaks the connector like yours but the wiring still okay. My question is do you have another way of pulling without damaging further as to reuse? I always have to pull the valve cover to get it out,i know it only takes 10 mins to pull but I get a flat rate bonus along with my hourly so every minute helps
You can try soaking it first with penetrant and make sure your tool is on all the way. Warmer the better. The loom is good and cheap from dieseltruckpartsdirect.com. Get spares
I like to wrap some small gauge wire around the large part of the plastic and then pull. Haven't broke anything that way but it can be a little difficult to get it to fit in there
Try this if the pick does not work . I use a step bit just like that but have broken several picks I use a slide hammer with the step up extractor attachment if breaks part of the connector just drill 180 from the first hole works like a champ
are the glow plugs they sell on eBay for $90 for eight of them are they any good as well as the harnesses were 30 bucks aside. what type do you recommend and where should I buy them. thanks Ron
Aftermarket glow plugs-remanautoparts.com. After market wires-dieseltruckpartsdirect.com or oe from where ever sells them. Just don't mix and match on ca emissions or any that has a monitor.

Lupusharv yea, did that and the whole boot broke off in and fell down in head😑
I wound up doing something similar. I used self tapping zip screws then used that as a point too pry it out.

I had this issue today u can use a self tapping screw and run it right the the middle where the wire connects in it. Pushes it right out.

Pieces of glow plug harness fell in side where glow what is easiest way to remove pieces that fell in around glow plug
