You misspelled: scumbag robber putting up bootleg recordings so the fine people who are able to perform this do not get what they truly deserve. Have you ever had a sane thought, ever?

I think Norm Lewis is one of the best Javerts I've seen.
Lea Salonga is the Diamond of this entire concert. I think the 10th Anniversary Dream Cast is the Best of the Best.
Yes, but to be fair, Samantha Barks also killed it as Eponine.
@@mikeor- Agreed and she is brilliant in everything she does
I agree the 10th anniversary concert was better - better cast.
The 10th was good, but this is the one I always am drawn back too, maybe my tween heart still has a thing for nick Jonas

The eponine in this concert is better

So, how happy are you for her watching this on someone recording it and putting it on RUclips exactly? Too bad some of the people capable enough to hopefully make a living out of performing their craft get robbed by the people who obviously enjoy it. This is the level of bastard you are. Thanks.
@@sandoumir4348 It's been 12 years, they've already made their money.
The one and only Mr Alfie Boe ❤❤
Who the guy in the green shirt in the son DRINK WITH ME? He steals the show.
Hadley Fraser - a great friend of Ramin. He also played Raoul in the 25th Anniversary of Phantom of the Opera.
that Lea Salonga has played BOTH fantine and eponyne makes my head exploe :)
Jonas was abou 18 at the time. I agree he’s a good performer but not for musicals where the other performers are hitting the notes. Can’t wait for the 40th.
Jonas gets a lot of hate for this. I feel bad for him because he’s a good singer and he does really well but unfortunately when paired with insane vocalists like Ramin his voice is just too soft
The music is too tough for him. In the lower register, his voice disappeared. And he does not have the range to sing the high notes.
Everyone outsang him.
Michael Ball is who most of us hear when we think of Marius. And comparing him to Michael Ball is no comparison.
Yep, I agree here - Nick Jonas can sing, but the character of Marius alongside Ramin compared to Michael Ball.. well, there isn’t one. Nick didn’t deserve the hate by any means though.
Yeah, I can say he's not my favorite Marius but he shouldn't get hated on. It is true that it's hard to match the powerful voice of Ramin!
I can identify very well the cast lord andrew lloyd weber bernadettelaughlin maurice brash Sean Byron Richard clerk frommageots.....donald sutherland..
Alfie Boe did great as Jean Valjean, but I can't help but wish that Ramin Karimloo (Enjolras in this version) played that role here :) I just love his voice so much
Agree - Ramin as Valjean. Not just his singing but his "being"

These two made the show for me!
Nick Jonas lol, don't despair, just watch Michael Ball in the 10th anniversary concert and you'll come down off the ledge.
If world class were measured in kilograms, the stage would have had to collapse that evening. My adoration of this music started very small and very quietly with Lea Salonga. She changed my life, in the most positive sense of all. Today I am a Lea Salonga junkie. She is the definition of brilliance.
What a lovely suprise finding this recording. Thank you.

My grandson was inthe NIC Unity when he was born. We played this musical over and over, until he came home. Someone asked what we're going to do if Colton started speak with an english accent..
Poor Norman’s voice is just getting lost next to Alfie’s booming vocals. Love Alfie Boe, but the dynamic between this Valjean and Javert is wrong. Javert is the loud assertive boomer whereas Valjean is the quietly, powerful assertive guy with a sensitivity who would rather not draw attention to himself but also stands up for himself when needed. That is why the dynamic between Philip Quast and Colm Wilkinson is unrivalled.
This Valjean is my most loathed lmao I just feel like there's such wrong acting behind the singing but also the singing is so wrong for me. Like it's SOOOO Operatic the vibrato starts at every word and like you see in "one day more" he doesn't match anyone else in the group 😂 its like in choir when u have that one kid that's trying to not be part of the group lol. 29:10
Interesting point. Which version has Quast and Wilkinson the best (in case they were in more than one).
@@miloc6507 Agree!
No one can deny Nick Jonas is a good pop artist. But this is not a good idea to sing with broadway vocalist. Coz Musical fans easily can tell, his vocal technic and capabilities are comparatively weaker.
For those who came here to among other things hear the mellifluous, honeyed, dark chocolate, dulcet tones of Monsieur Jamie Muscato, he can be heard in Drink with Me at 38:09 "Here's to witty girls who went to our beds."
Thank you!!! That was exactly the part that I was searching for.

It's wonderful concert! From 25th Anniversary to 40th Anniversary of Lés Miserables Congratulations!
at first, I thought Jonas is not good enough for the cast, but when I reheard a few times, I think that he was proper at this role. his voice may not that good as others(Ramin and Michael Ball of course), but he shew the weakness, the dearest love, uneasy feeling of a young schoolboy.
At 44:00 I heard the audience gave Alfie Boe a 5 minute standing ovation & he ended up breaking character and smiling and blowing a kiss to the crowd. Is this true? Do you have it on video?

So much emotion in her voice and expression. Lea is great.
NOW FROM THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY TO THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY PRODUCTION. MAGNIFICENT.!!!!!!!!
Ramin in sing off with Michael Ball ... simply amazing!
I agree with every single word Cameron Mackintosh said, but what surprised me was when Alain Boublil said that he did not know whether Claude-Michel Schoenberg would have been crazy enough to agree with him. As I was listening to the original 1980 cast (which was French) it finally hit me that this musical was premiered exactly 150 years after the Second French Revolution (1830-1832), and that Kretzner's lyrics for the 1981 version, which were translated, made it even more powerful. As long as I live, Les Miserables will be my favorite French musical and my second-favorite French work of music overall (after Carmen).
This version of Stars is amazing.
Phillip Quast
correct me if I'm forgetting someone, but isn't Lea the only cast member from the 25th concert that was also in the 10th?

My Absolute FAVOURITE musical of all time. I had the priviledge of seeing your performance last time in the Point Depot, Dublin. This year I tried to get tickets but unfortunately missed out. My Mum was 90yrs of age our first time & at maybe her last chance to see your show again so needless to say at 93yrs of age she is very disappointed! We know the whole show off by heart & sing along when together driving in the car. When I saw your performance you reduced me to tears of utter happiness at seeing you all live. It was my dream come true to actually see you live. As for Colm Wilkinson, well YOU are my HERO! which my daughter's Ciara & Clementine have inherited. We have been members of our local Musical Society here in Ennicorthy, Co. Wexford & the 3 of us have been on stage in musicals together. We performed in "Jesus Christ Super Star", "Joseph & his Amazing Technicoloured Coat", " Sound of Music", "Greece", "The Hot Mikado" & many more, many of our favourite times together. We wish you all continued success with your show in Dublin. Take care & please, please let us know when you plan your next show in Dublin. You are all always Welcome in Ireland. "Cead Mile Failte" I was given the best Chritmas present ever , a DVD of your show, you can't even imagine how excited I was to receive such a precious gift!

And now I'm alone again,
Without a friend, without anything to do.
I am not pressed to recover my solitude and my misery.
I wait for night to come,
To invoke him in my memory.
I walk alone every night,
All the streets belong to me.
All of my thoughts fly to him
And I put my life in his.
While Paris sleeps at night.
I can make up my story.
My story, is like a fairytale
In the pages of my childhood.
I close my eyes,
And my prince comes to embrace me,
And I pray that his embrace will never become undone.
With him, I no longer feel the same.
I love the rain, and when we walk together.
Our two shadows, like two enamoured giants,
Get longer at our feet and are reflected in the Seine.
And I know I made everything up.
I know that he will never be at my side.
And in spite of this, I still hope,
That with him, I will write my story.
I love him, but when the night is over,
In the morning, he continues his route,
And the world becomes the same again,
It loses all its colors and the rainbow loses its diadem.
I love him, but I am alone in the world,
All my life, I’ve waited as a shadow.
My story is just an empty shell now,
A foolish dream of love where I had no part to play.
I love him. I love him. I love him,
Alone in my story.

My favourite! Alfie Boe absolutely nails it! There is one song that is ringing so true for the times we are living..
"Do you hear the people sing"..
Omg I freakin love Alfie Boe. There have been some great Jean Val Jeans, but he's the absolute greatest. His performance of 'Bring Him Home' is incomparable. He's so in it that at the end when he opens his eyes he looks lost for a second. It's as though he's not quite sure where he is.
During the George Floyd protests, many of the Broadway performers joined in the protests.
I always imagined them singing "Do You Hear the People Sing."
It is sooooooo approp for any peaceful unrest. 👍🏿✌🏿
(FYI... I saw Les Mis while I was in London, June 2023.)
I was just fifteen when Les Miserables in Concert started, forty at the 25th anniversary here. There was an episode of Waiting for God (Bayview Retirement Home) where the manager, Harvey Baines, told two residents, Tom and Diana, that he had two tickets for Les Miserables. He was trying to get them out of the way and he called it Les Miserable - I don't know Les personally, but I'm told he's very good. Screamingly funny!
